“Honest Review of Billy Gail's in Branson, MO I recently visited Billy Gail's in Branson, and overall, it was a good experience with a few ups and downs. Starting with the positives—the service from my server and the front-of-house supervisor was excellent. Once I was seated, my server was attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. The portions were generous, and the flavors were exactly what you’d hope for from a place known for homestyle cooking. However, the initial impression wasn’t quite as welcoming. The hostess gave off a rather cold and distant vibe upon arrival, which set a bit of a negative tone at the start. Additionally, it took about 20 to 30 minutes before I was even greeted by my server. It turns out she hadn’t been alerted by the hostess that I had been seated, which explains the delay—but it was still a bit frustrating. Despite the rocky start, the good food and strong service from my server and the supervisor made up for it. I’d definitely give Billy Gail's another try, especially since the food and service (once it got going) were solid. Hopefully, they can smooth out the front-of-house communication to create a more welcoming first impression.“

“We were in Branson June 1 - June 6 2025 . (From Nebraska) We absolutely love coming to Branson —- we came on June 1st which was our 34 th wedding anniversary , and Branson was our honeymoon destination 34 yrs ago . We absolutely love love love Branson and all the entertainment it offers and provides . We love all the restaurants in Branson for a selection of a wide variety of food . We have never at hero’s but chose to try it this time —- it did not disappoint what so ever we absolutely loved it the food was delicious so good it called us back for a 2nd time Within that week —- the first time we had their fried chicken —- which is always kinda a concern being away with not knowing if it’s going to be greasy or not as my husband has a touchy stomach with greasy food . We loved the fried chicken !!!!! Literally lived it non greasy and very tolerable and did not upset my husbands stomach —- it was again very impressive and delicious . Toward the end of our week we chose to go back to hero’s once again and we were once again very very pleased . The waitresses were so nice and so accommodating and it was just he best in atmosphere —- we would be extremely extremely sad if this place ever closed because it’s on our return list for our next return to Branson . Oh and did I mention the breaded corn it’s a hit it was so unique and so different and it was yummy!!! Thanks hero tastes and taps you have us as a return customer to hero’s . It’s highly recommended over and beyond in a 5 star!!!!“

“This is far and away the best sports bar in town. Heck - they are pretty much my favorite place to eat, period! Their wings are the best ever - char-grilled, not fried or baked (as some mistaken reviewers have claimed. Everything is quite affordable, the service is beyond excellent, and the drinks are excellent! Do they get busy? Heck yes - and that's always a good sign! Do they occasionally have an off night? Doesn't every establishment? But do they respond to issues and take care of the situation? Absolutely! I often joke that this place is my own Cheers bar, as the staff is so good and know my name! If their food, drinks or service sucked, or was incredibly inconsistent, I'd never recommend them. But they are the best in town - and my first recommendation if someone wants a good place to watch a sporting event, they will always be my first choice to recommend!“

“We bought the package with whodunnit and wild West. The whodunnit was indoors with dinner. Fun comedy with audience participation. They then had trolley to take us to lookout to look over different areas of Branson( had elevator). They then took us by trolley to outdoor wild west show. This show had excellent horse riders to a gentleman who could do rope tricks. Excellent family outing with teenagers. Both shows has comedy. I had no expectations but absolutely loved!!! Highly recommended. If you have a kid who like horses or cowboys this is your show. There are several times they have loud fake guns- just know if you have child with autism ahead of time for covering ears.“

“We love spending our Friday evenings at Pier 28 for dinner and live music! The Cruiser 28 pizza and Italian salad have become our weekly go-to orders, and they never disappoint. There’s plenty of boat parking, and the lively, welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a great time. The live music is a hit, especially from Riley Braker! We are going to be sad when they close for the off-season.“

“This is a fun 80's themed cafe. The food was pretty good - and didhes had cute, 80s themed names. My club sandwich was named the Culture Club. We had some pretzel balls with dip named... Spaceballs, of course. There was a live band setting up to play. Unfortunately, we left before they got started. Old music videos and commercials from "olden times" played on the tube TV's located throughout. It's a fun flashback!“

“We tried Shepherd’s Grill for the first time. It was a Sunday for lunch with our church group just after noon and it wasn’t busy at all whereas other places in the area were swamped. My wife and I shared a sampler platter for $23.00 and my soft drink was $3.00. We thought the service was good and that the portions were worth the price. We both ate our fill and still took home food. However, we both considered the meats to be just satisfactory as the ribs were not falling off the bone and none of the meats were all that savory or tender. But for the price, we were satisfied and will most likely come back again some other Sunday with our church group.“

“Billy Bob’s Dairy Land is such a fun place. It’s small but don’t let that fool you. The food is great (real ingredients) and service is spectacular! Another diner suggested requesting caramel for the sweet potato fries. They will do this if you ask and yum! Make sure you save room for those little pies they have. Sorry, we had it gone before we thought about the picture so you’ll have to trust me on that one. We will be making this a regular stop every time we’re in Branson. There are many pie flavors for us to try!“

On vacation we had a group dinner here. Charlie was amazing getting us seats and making sure we're comfortable. We had two servers our table had Denise. She was great handling the table and split tickets. The guy looks like the manager seem to have a issue with me checking the section seeing if we had enough space before my huge party sat. Our other half had a different server who was not pleasant. Seemed like she had a issue doing her job. Overall the food and drinks were great. Thank you again to Charlie (Hostess) and Denise (Server).“

“We love Cheddars. It is a corporate restaurant and our expectations are consistent with that model. Our meal was as expected with the following exceptions:

1. It is my fault for not checking the ticket prior to departure, but I was charged $7.29 for chips & queso dip after redeeming "free with code" coupon. LESSON: Thoroughly, check your bill.

2. Buffalo rollup: shell was dry and crusty after being seared on a griddle.

We will be back though this visit had a few negatives. The staff and waitress were outstanding!“

“On a beautiful sunny afternoon I rode my goldwing motorcycle through town. I'm not one to treat myself, but thought "what the heck" and stopped at this particular Denny's. JP(short for Jennifer P) welcomed me like family and helped me decide on a black coffee, lumberjack slam with caramel banana cream pancakes on the side. I enjoyed the flavors as if trying them for the first time all over again. The food was not greasy and the coffee was not weak. All in all I was extremely happy with the meal and friendly service. I highly recommend that any decent persons looking for an authentic experience gives this location a try. I think you will be joyfully surprised.“
