“The place was dead as a doornail but the food was great. Recommend the Shanghai mein fan if you don't mind a little spice in your life. There are some negative reviews i noticed. Ignore them the food is great. No buffet after 3pm. Dine in and order from the menu or take out after 3pm until 9. I haven't had the buffet in years. If you get buffet the place isnt real busy with people dining in so i can't imagine the buffet is all that fresh.“

“This place was pretty good. I stopped by here for a quick take out dinner to eat at the lake while camping. I had the beef lo mien and generals tso's chicken. The food was made to order. I was super excited about my to go container, it was divided....for people who don't like their food touching :)! Like I said, the food was good, normal sized portions, normal priced. Oh but one thing that stood out to me was the rice, I got white rice w/ my generals chicken and it was so good. It was soft and tasted like Thai jasmine rice. I will stop by here again whenever we go to the lake!“

“As far as Asian Buffets go this is pretty near the top for us. My son had a favorite place in another city and this one is closer in miles and I think has now taken the top of the list. My only complaint was the hot and sour soup wasn't as sour as I'm used to. It was still pretty dang good. If that's the only complaint I have then that's exceptional. Honestly the food was hot! It was tasty. We got full. We ate a lot... Isn't that what these are for? I got my Asian food fix as did my son. The service was very good! All the food was hot. Nothing was "just warm". For a buffet that's also pretty exceptional. I'm a seafood junky. I love salt and pepper prawns and to my surprise they had them instead of little salt and pepper shrimps. Asian Buffets are my guilty pleasure and honestly it was a pleasure to eat here. We will definitely be back!“

“Hands down, THE BEST chinese takeout I have ever eaten, and they have maintained this standard for over 3 years (since I found them). It's a small modest shop with washed out signs, and it seems to be family owned. Their lunch special is incredible, you get a side a main, soup, drink and crab rangoons and wontons for like $7. You will be FULL. Please go support this business you won't be disappointed. And please tip! The lunch special is so cheap I feel like I'm stealing when I eat there.“

“Absolutely fire Chinese place - I bet they make a killing in takeout. All of the food options we got were largely portioned, well priced, and quite tasty.

Our server was very nice and checked in often to see if we needed anything. I’m sure one day, they could brush up their interiors, but we all know that we come for the food, not the seating arrangements.

Came here because we were hankering for Chinese on vacation and this fit the bill perfectly. 10/10 recommend.“

We ordered the Sesame Chicken and the Red Wok Chicken.
Holy moly...the portion size! This is a great value for the money. There is absolutely no skimping on anything here.
The food was good. I wish the RW Chicken was a bit spicier, but that's simply a personal taste.

“Over the years I’ve seen this business grow, i eat here once a week, the atmosphere is good, the service is excellent, the food is outstanding. Im also a former dasher, when i picked up food, it was always Hot and Fresh. It was still hot, when delivered. I liked orders from rainbow, because i believe in this restaurant, it’s awesome food and consistent. If you’re visiting Kansas City, i personally recommend Rainbow Restaurant.“

“Walked in to grab a take-out order for lunch. Had a good experience. I ordered fried shrimp, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. It took 10 minutes, very quick service, which was perfect because I had to get back to work. The spring rolls came with 4, 6 crab rangoon, and 8 pieces of fried shrimp, which by the way, happens to be awesome with sweet and sour sauce!

Everything was fresh, nicely packaged, and the young lady gave me 6 fortune cookies……I didn’t have to ask more; that was dope, I almost always want more than one.
