“Being from Washington, I have picky preferences for a great coffee shop and cup of coffee/espresso. I actually left the shop with my coffee, got in my car to drive away, and tasted my coffee. I immediately turned around and drive back to tell the friendliest barista lady that the coffee was excellent. Thank you for a job well done and for helping me pick a great blend to take home with me. I made it today and thought of Cornerstone! Nice job!“

“We moved to Smithville, so I've only been to this restaurant a few times. It's very spacious with seating away from the front registers. The one surprise is they don't have a public-facing drink station, so refills require going to the counter to request it. Not a real criticism, because I've seen McDonald's restaurants without them. It's often to deter loitering or public damage to the devices. Excellent atmosphere and clean.“

Now that I have kids I love taking them to the children's area for story time, computer games, their weekly scavenger hunt, and it's enclosed enough I feel comfortable just sitting and reading nearby! The coffee is fantastic too!“

“I met a friend for coffee here yesterday. What a great experience. We each had 2 drinks and stayed to visit for 2.5 hours! We each had a latte and a tea. Both were great! We felt welcome and I even joked around with Charlie. I was being my usual weird self and he was very entertained. We will definately return often.“

“I first became acquainted with Caribou Coffee on a trip to Minneapolis several years ago Since then, it's been my favorite brand. I buy the Obsidian blend whole beans nd prepare it in a French press. I have tried all sorts of different coffee and there is no better dark roast to be found anywhere.“

“Just stopped through here for the first time. After tip, my 20oz drink was only $8 and some change! On top of that, the banana bread iced mocha is phenomenal! The drive thru situation is just a little clunky, I got my order before the person in front of me, so had to wait until they got theirs in order to leave. All told, I think I prefer this spot to the competition. On quality, friendliness, and tunes, they blow Starbucks, Dunkin, Dutch, and Scooters out of the water. I’m very excited to come back and try more flavors.“

“Pulled into Kansas City after a 20-hour drive. Long road, zero energy. First stop after Costco — Starbucks. No experiments, just routine.

Ordered my usual — hot caramel macchiato, Venti. Same exact taste I get back in California. Not better, not worse. Just consistent. That’s kind of the whole point with Starbucks.

But this spot… feels different.

Walked in around 5 PM — almost empty. Quiet. No rush, no line stress. And then you start noticing the space. Big open layout, clean lines, those green walls with the arch design — doesn’t feel like a typical Starbucks at all. More like a place you actually want to stay in.

Grabbed a seat by the window on one of those leather couches. Solid, comfortable, not worn out. Table space is real — not those tiny “quick stop” setups. Opened my laptop just to check a couple things… ended up staying way longer.

Lighting is soft, not harsh. Everything looks fresh — floors, tables, even the bar area. No clutter behind the counter, no chaos. You can tell this location is taken care of.

Only thing — coffee itself didn’t surprise me. But again, that’s not why this place stands out.

Paid about $13 for two drinks. Compared to California prices, that’s a win.

This isn’t just a Starbucks you pass through. This is one you actually use.

If you need a calm spot to sit, work, reset for a bit — this one delivers.

“This location is pretty standard like all the other locations. The only difference is that this Starbeezy is located inside HyVee.When you pull into HyVee's parking lot, the Starbucks sign on the building appears that Starbucks is in a separate but attached building however as soon as you walk into HyVee supermarket (the entrance with all the carts), Starbucks is immediately to your left. The store is fairly big considering it is inside another store.When I initially walked in the supermarket, there were a few customers. I did my shopping, then went back the get coffee and there was only one other customer ahead of me. The barista acknowledged me and told me she would be with me shortly. Soon after, she was ready to take my order.I order and waited maybe 2-3 minutes and in no time my coffee - medium, extra hot, cinnamon dolce latter was ready.I am satisfied with the service I received and my coffee.“

“My all-year favorite coffee is cinnamon dolce latte, but when it is holiday, I love gingerbread latte. Both lattes are so perfect! The employees remember what I like...what’s more? They are so friendly, which made me feel at home!! Thumb up!!!“

“Simply outstanding! To say I have been distracted this last week would be putting it mildly..... That said, I am new to the app, and this evening used it to order just a few minutes before close. I had been looking forward to stopping at Starbucks all afternoon, and until I arrived at the window, did not realize just how badly I screwed up my order. I was assisted by a poised and gracious young lady named Lara who did not hesitate to help me correct my mistake. She kindly asked me with a smile what I had intended to order, and went to work. Just as she started preparation, I realized that I had ordered incorrectly a second time (seriously folks, rough week.....) I successfully got Lara's attention, apologized, and AGAIN changed my order. Anyone would have been frustrated, but this young lady did not miss a beat, staying professional and going out of her way to make sure I left satisfied, while never once making me feel as though my business was anything other than appreciated. After being in management for decades, I can safely say that if Lara is not on the management track, it would behoove Starbucks to research what advancement options are available for this young lady, as my experience tonight was nothing short of SERVICE EXCELLENCE......“
