“Stopped in to grab some coffee and donuts for our fellow Fire Fighter's and the two ladies working one a cashier and the other was working the deli, AMAZING WOMAN!! They were very kind and helpful getting our stuff gathered as we got coffee and donuts for 12 to go! I recommend this place for sure.“

“I love coming to Anchor Island Coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive, and queer owned. All the staff I have met are very friendly.They have the best iced carmel oatmilk latte in the area, and their buffalo chicken quesadilla is delicious.The downstairs area is quite small but there is plenty of seating upstairs. There are often pop ups of local vendors in the downstairs area as well. I have seen a variety of items from art, jewelry, soaps, and candles.There is lots of free/non-metered street parking, but how full it is can depend on the time/day and other events happening nearby. Usually I have no problem parking very close on a Saturday afternoon but on occasion I have had to circle the block.Parking: Street parking all around the shop and nearby blocks. Can be difficult depending on the time of day, day of the week, and any other events that may be happening nearby. There is a lot behind the building but I am unsure if it is public or for employees only.Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight space downstairs, but could be workable. The upstairs would be completely inaccessible.“

“If you've ever thought to yourself "I could go for something sweet" TWO SUGARS is a must. First thing I noticed walking in was good music. Paired with Great coffee, and what may be the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It was worth the visit.“

“I come here frequently after getting groceries, one lady remembers me now and knows exactly what I order. I tried something new and it was delicious, I went to reorder it today and I accidentally ordered a tea instead of a latte. I did not like the tea and they made me a new drink even though it was my fault. I love this little shop! The Brown Sugar Boba Latte is my favorite. It is a small shop in downtown, so there arent a lot of places to park, which is to be expected. Good thing I walk everywhere. :)“

“By far, the Best Cigar stock in Kansas City - great variety with an exceptional preservation of each cigars humidity content. If your a connoisseur and trying to get a true taste for a certain brand, I'd highly recommend. Whether it be for us early risers, or weekend date night.“

The decor is relaxing and gives a low-key vibe.The staff was a bit quiet but they were good at their job.Slightly disappointed that the lattes came out luke warm. This seems to be a trend among Coffeehouse lately. In addition, my Busy Bee Latte might have had a little too much turmeric as that particular flavor overwhelmed the drink so that you could not taste the honey or cinnamon. “The sea salt dusted mocha chip cookie is amazing. The cappuccino was equally good. My only “complaint” is, why ask me if my order is to go or here. When I answer, “I’m going to savor the cookie and coffee here”, please don’t put the cookie in a paper bag and the coffee in a paper cup. I feel like I’ve been given a doggie bag. I am a guest in your place of business, and I’ve come in to relax, recharge and enjoy some quiet time; instead I felt rushed, drained and overwhelmed by the loud music.“

We were greeted in a way I can only describe as "vibes" and that was the start of what I hope is a long and fruitful relationship with this amazing establishment. “Our office recently took The Roasterie’s factory tour as part of a team-building day, and it was an exceptional experience! Our tour guide, Eric, was awesome! “We adore our neighbors at Sway! We grab a coffee here nearly every day and brew our own with their beans when they are closed. They are a brilliant addition to the neighborhood, the smell of beans roasting in an inviting place to grab a beverage and a McLain’s bakery treat.“

“My wife and I saw a post on instagram for Ollama and what caught our eye is the coffee flights! We both love trying many different flavors whether it’s coffee or beer and having the option to try many sold us on coming. The shop picks two and you get to pick another two and each flavor was great! Each option was very flavorful and refreshing. Ollama is a unique spot in KC, it’s not every day you get to try Latin American coffee.“

“Found Sunrise on a map search for "brunch," and so glad it turned up! The modest fare is super delish, and the laid-back atmosphere is perfect for a chill midday meal. Our server Angel was the most impressive part though. He is passionate about the place and its menu, checked in on us at magical just-right intervals, and even wrapped up our leftovers himself. “The Java garage has plenty of space to spread out and really focus on your work. Multiple different seating options from bar stools, couches, swinging benches, and dining tables. Sometimes I like a more cozy work environment so this might not be my go-to all the time, but it was a nice change of pace.I got the Open Road latte with oat milk and it tastes like a butterscotch candy. Very good.There is also a very friendly and adorable coffee shop dog named Scout!Dietary restrictions: Oat milk available as well as soy and almond!“

Everytime I complete the order i sit and drool patiently waiting for my sandwich to arrive because its absolutely incredible....then! i ordered my sandwich this evening and it arrived and when i opened the box the bread kind of looked a little burnt! There does seem to be an issue with their selling alcohol, is it is on the menu as available, but is noted as not being able to be purchased on the site. “Our first visit to Holy Gounds off the Liberty Square did not disappoint! The coffee was some of the best I’ve tasted. It was nicely roasted, smooth and not bitter. My husband had the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle bowl and said it was incredible. I had the homemade chocolate croissant and it melted in my mouth. There is a lot going on in the space with an area to shop and shelves of books but they offer a lot of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. Walk up the stairs and check out the old church with beautiful carved wood and stained glass windows while you’re there. We will definitely be coming back regularly now.“

(Side note: the KC Current were playing later in the day and it was a thrill seeing so many women’s soccer fans in the house!)I got an Iced Mango Sticky Rice Latte and I’ve never had anything even remotely similar. The espresso was smooth. The flavors were complex while also tasting distinctly similar to mango sticky rice.KC is seven hours from my home but I’d consider making the drive regularly to support this small business.“

“Take Care is a new coffee shop located in the Crossroads. We went on a Sunday morning to grab coffee and work on some wedding stuff. It was nice that it wasn't took busy and we sat at the bar. I love the no tipping culture not because I am against tipping but because it means they are paying their employees responsibly. The staff is so nice and we ended up talking to them for awhile while we sat at the bar. They didn't offer any GF pastries when we were there but their biscuits were amazing! They also had a scone that looked delicious but I decided I had to try the biscuit after hearing about it. There are several butter and jam options. We both enjoyed our coffee and got a lot of work done during our time there. I will 100% be back.“

“Me and my mom went to this cat cafe 3 times I think. We both loved it was nice inside I loved the cat climbing shelves. The cats were friendlyI loved playing with them some of the cats came on to my lap. The one thing me and mom didn’t like about it was the floor in the cat lounge because we saw cats running and slipping on the floor I don’t know if the cats have been hurt while running on the floor. However everything else is good I rate this cat cafe a 9/10“

“We have been here multiple times, whether it's busy or not, they are always super friendly, great customer service, and they are always happy to recommend their favorites or help you find something you'll love! They drinks are huge, taste great and such a great price compared to others close by ;) and the drive-thru doesn't take have as long! We will definitely be back!!“

“Absolutely top of the line service, food, and coffee! I came here for the first time on very little sleep after a plane flight. Had a mishap with my coffee and spilled it on my table. The barista (young man, long dark hair) noticed and came over to offer me a new saucer since mine was now full of coffee - honestly that was impressive because I was sitting in a corner and didn't expect anyone to see. I really appreciated the help getting everything cleaned up. As a coffeeshop manager myself, I always teach my team that we never know what someone else is going through, and a small moment of kindness can mean a lot to a person, so look for those chances to be kind. I am in fact dealing with something very heavy in my family (reason for the plane flight), and I'm a little emotional right now over being shown one of those moments of kindnesses myself. So thank you to that barista because you made a hard day a little bit brighter for one person. :)As a side note, the chocolate croissant and pepper jack quiche were THEEEEE best!! Really hit the spot! If I still lived in KC, I would come here every day. I think I will come here every day this week at least. :p“

“Little hole in the wall that I pass almost every day but never stop. Today I stopped and I'm so happy I did!!!! The service was so amazing that alone is 100+. I had an atole with an expresso shot ? ? this was good. The beef tamale was different but I'm opened minded and even though it didn't blow my mind I must confess there was good flavor and this makes me beyond excited to try the others . I wish they had some old school pottery the simple and plain . All in all I loved this place and can't wait to be back. Knocked off a star due to limited seating and when we ordered our coffee no one told us to wait at a counter (they deliver the rest of your food), so we ended up not getting that until we finally asked. When we did ask the server she just said oh they call your name (music plays loudly inside so no way you can hear unless you're right there) and leave it at the bar for you, and then she walked off.“

“Just got back from New York, famed for their bagels. Went to at least 6 bagel shops. ABSOLUTELY NONE could touch Meshuggah Bagels, for just the right chewiness, and the perfect crunch of the crusts when the bagel is toasted. These bagels are an absolute miracle, and THEY'RE ALL OURS!“

They make a certain amount and then sell out. Anyone leaving a 1 star review has such high standards that they need a 24-hour donut place. This is mom and pops. They start at 2am and open at 530am. “This could be your go to sandwich shop, if you give it a try. The staff is very helpful, friendly......, as well as the rest of the Boy Scout law. Their breakfasts are also excellent. When family members come to visit, they ask to go to Huey's on the Square. As I often see people I know, it is a great gathering spot and several major newspapers are available to read at your leisure. All in all, this restaurant will take you back a little way in time (notice the tin ceiling) but it won't set you back financially.“

“Lovely find of a shop. Biggest complaint is that their hours are not the best for me to be able to make it here more often while in town. Had two beverages during my visit, a cortado and an espresso. The cortado was good, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the balance of it and found the espresso to be too juicy for my tastes with milk. Was chatting with the barista and she made me an espresso, and it was hands down the best espresso I have had in KC. The crema, the body, everything was perfectly extracted. To my surprise it was one of the blends as they didn’t have the single origin dialed in anymore so close to closing time. The next time I am in the area I will hopefully be able to repeat the same experience as my first.“
