“Our first trip ever to the Balkan Treat Box started with a very helpful server coming up to us at where you order and handing us the menus and helping us decide what to get. It really helped us with our order. We ordered 3 of the most popular dishes as well as some hummus to start. Everything was so good really a symphony of flavors! We were checked on by the staff several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and everyone was very nice and helpful! Highly recommend. Plenty of parking especially in the back of restaurant.”

“It was a rare out of town date night for us and we chose Olive and Oak for a couple reasons. They were open late on Sunday and the menu looked amazing. From start to finish, this was a wonderful dining experience. The NA mocktails were amazing. The atmosphere is stunning. We tried several different things on the menu and were not disappointed by any of them. Our server, Jordan, was fantastic. My boyfriend is a restaurant owner/chef in Columbia and to watch him truly enjoy every bit of that meal made my heart happy as well. We will absolutely be back. Many times:)”

“I got the Thai green curry with shrimp, medium spice and it was fantastic. The Chinese eggplant was so sweet and buttery. The whole dish was very tasty and looaded with vegetables and flavor.”

“This place is actually really good. The bread they bring out with the olive oil is good. The seeds on top of the sliced bread pairs really well with the dipping oil and even gives great texture. They have homemade pasta which is always a plus. The lobster rigatoni is really good. There is a spice to the dish that's complimentary. The chicken parm was really good and completely unlike any other chicken parm that I had. It was almost like a fushion or Italian parm mixed with an Indian curry sauce instead of the traditional red sauce. Surprisingly, it worked though. I would rate the Chicken Parm a 8.5/10. Portion size was good, and the flavor fushion was awesome. The location is great, and the overall layout of the restaurant is clever with it's mirrors along the wall to create the illusion of a bigger restaurant. Go check this place out.

“Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)”

“We recently moved “locally” and Our trying out new restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised with “A’mis” Took Our four kids there for lunch today. The ENTIRE dining area was full, yet the short staffed staff did not miss a beat. Drinks filled, food brought out, they did forget silverware but They were SO busy and also so on top of it! Truly impressed as a former server and hostess back in the day. My kids finished the cheese sticks in less than 5 minutes. The fettuccini was amazing, and so was the New York style pizza. The house dressing is good as well. On top of that the wait staff was so friendly and kind to Us. You sometimes sadly get dirty looks bringing 4 kids under 13 into a restaurants alone, even if they are well behaved! We will be back!!! Thank-You!”

“Our waitress was new but you wouldn't have known without being told. She was gracious, efficient and checked on us regularly. We didn't pay attention to the time and ended up closing the restaurant. No one pressured us to leave and when I apologized for not realizing how late it was everyone was so kind.”

“We found this place on accident!! They did not disappoint. Pad Thai shrimp the flavor was out of this world from te 1st bite!! Khai sol OMG , the curry broth were so rich and complimented the chicken so well. Som Tum was spiced just to our liking!!”

“Late in life, I’ve discovered Imo’s Pizza. We get delivery from Imo’s quite a lot. Their chef salads are fantastic, their sandwiches are also very good, the pizzas are a St. Louis tradition, and their spaghetti Bolognese is one of the best kept secrets of St. Louis cuisine. Believe it or not, I’ve had their spaghetti Bolognese multiple times, and every single time it is served perfectly prepared “al dente”. The portion is larger enough. I usually just eat half and save the other half for later. Imo’s has been around a long time. I hope they continue to be a tradition in St. Louis.”

The restaurant went above and beyond with an anniversary card at the table to sparklers in our dessert! It was so special, a dinner to really remember! “i have been there several times and always call ahead for a table in the bar area. i love the bartender my drinks are always fast and taste good , i alway love the bands because it is a older group of peeps ,like me , but they are loud ,sit in the bar at the high tops and you can see all the bands and the peeps dancing and the girl bartending i think is jamie is so friendly”

“I only go on Monday nights, but I find the atmosphere to be what you would expect at a large sports bar. The wait staff is friendly, attentive, in personable. Beer prices are in line and competitive.

Just don't eat the food unless you're desperate! I call it a worst-case scenario. Otherwise, go have fun!”
