“Friendly service, delicious food!”

“Another winner. Rob and I ate a late lunch at Balkan Treat Box in Webster Grove, Mo, today. I have known about this place for awhile, and finally got here, today. This delightful, friendly to all, little restaurant boasts a James Beard nominated Chef, many times over. One taste of the Browned butter hummus, and grilled bread, and you won't wonder why she ROCKS those nominations. Layers of flavor explode in your mouth. Sweet, salty, citrusy, and smooth as silk tastes. Developed flavors that keep revealing themselves with each savored bite. We loved it so much, that I ordered more to bring home. We split that "baby beer"a "Pocket Pivo". Crisp, clean brew made locally, and highly recommended by the order taker, and cashier, Dylan. He and I played off each other very well, and he loved that I said, "YAY" to everything I loved. 🤣🤣🥰 Our server, Hope, suggested as first timers that we try the hummus. She couldn't have been more right about it. Hope also suggested that we pick something from the left column on the first page of the menu. We selected the Lahmachun with spicy beef. There was plenty to split between us. Again, another explosion in my mouth of earthy spicy, sweet, herby, coupled with that fabulous woodfired bread. Hope suggested that we splash the juice from the accompanying lemon wedge on the Lahmacun. It gives balance, and a slight acidity to the meat. Perfectly balanced. This food represents the best of Boznia, Turkey, Croatian, so many more cultures full developed by the Chef's traveling far, and wide to understand the cultures behind the foods. The restaurant offers meatless, and meat full choices to please all desires, and needs. Adding to the experience is the wonderful music, a combination of those cultures, that is piped through the restaurant. I cannot wait to come back here. ( The Balkan Treat Box started as a food truck, which is still in operation, and now boasts two brick and mortar locations, too.) It's the stuff dreams are made of to me. I would LOVE this type of restaurant in my area of Saratoga Springs,NY. 🥰”

“The food was good and the service was friendly. The parking on the street was a little difficult. The dining room was very small and I'm a chilly night with the door constantly opening made the temperature a little cool for my taste. They had a large outside seating section however because of the weather it was closed.”

“We had a great dinner. Kids had the steak and unlike many places, they were willing to go as rare as my 8 year old wanted for her child size steak which was nice. Service was also great, excellent timing and attention. …and bit off topic but if the hostess with the curly red hair sees this, I hope you know that your natural runway walk doesn’t need to be ignored.. if you aren’t modeling, you should be! ✨💃🏼”

“Delicious pizza and cocktails. They were running a little behind and couldn't seat us at the time of our reservation (it wasn't even that long of a delay compared to other restaurants) so they gave us a free round of drinks, which was lovely. One note is that if you have anyone in your party with mobility issues who might have trouble sitting at a stool or high-top table, make sure to request one of the booth tables that have normal height chairs with backs.”

“Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)”

“We recently moved “locally” and Our trying out new restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised with “A’mis” Took Our four kids there for lunch today. The ENTIRE dining area was full, yet the short staffed staff did not miss a beat. Drinks filled, food brought out, they did forget silverware but They were SO busy and also so on top of it! Truly impressed as a former server and hostess back in the day. My kids finished the cheese sticks in less than 5 minutes. The fettuccini was amazing, and so was the New York style pizza. The house dressing is good as well. On top of that the wait staff was so friendly and kind to Us. You sometimes sadly get dirty looks bringing 4 kids under 13 into a restaurants alone, even if they are well behaved! We will be back!!! Thank-You!”

“I got the steak bowl with rice, chicken spring rolls, and banana Boba. all of it was so good. the bowl was so flavorful. I will definitely have to come back soon!!”

“Robust Wine Bar is our favorite restaurant for great wine, excellent food, exceptional service, and the best environment for a romantic dinner, celebrations, or just great times with friends. Our server, Aiden, was terrific, suggesting a perfect wine for dinner. We even bought a bottle to take home! We will always consider Robust as our special occasion restaurant. Love this place!”

“My family and I came from out of town to take the kids to the zoo and found this place looking online for something we didn’t have back home and this was a fantastic experience very friendly people all around! Kids menu was perfect and all our food was brought to us amazing!! Hot fresh and just simply so good!!! If we get to come back and visit I would definitely come to eat here again!!!”

“This restaurant is a hidden gem. I can’t believe that you can find authentic northern Thai food in St. Louis. It’s unthinkable. It’s family owned and it seems everything is cooked to order.

But as with any Asian restaurant in St. Louis (or the west in general), some dishes are better than others. Dishes that taste pretty similar to Thailand are gaeng hung lay, larb khua, and hoi tod (all pictured).

The nam ngiaw and nuea sawan and not even close to what they taste like in Thailand. The sai oua looks good but I haven't tried it yet. Lastly, the portion sizes are smaller than typical American restaurants and the prices are a tad expensive.

This restaurant is probably one of the few more authentic Thai restaurants in St. Louis. If not, you would have to go to Chicago or a bigger city to find better.”

“A friend and I dined outdoors on Tuesday evening on the upper deck. We had a fabulous waitress! Laura was truly one of the best waitresses we have ever had from any restaurant! She was prompt, helpful, fun, etc and made our dinner truly memorable!”

“My husband and I came here for our anniversary. I made reservations online and in the comments added that we would be celebrating our anniversary. The restaurant went above and beyond with an anniversary card at the table to sparklers in our dessert! It was so special, a dinner to really remember! “Just stopped in to pick up a Doordash and the store was nicely lit, had good music playing, and while they had a few customers, it was still calm and relatively quiet. Very nice atmosphere. I've eaten here before and the food and coffee are both great.

BUT while I was picking up my Doordash order, the person working the counter offered me a coffee for myself. That was so kind! Most places get mad if I ask for a water 😂 so thank you!!!!”

“i have been there several times and always call ahead for a table in the bar area. i love the bartender my drinks are always fast and taste good , i alway love the bands because it is a older group of peeps ,like me , but they are loud ,sit in the bar at the high tops and you can see all the bands and the peeps dancing and the girl bartending i think is jamie is so friendly”

“Tonight a large group of children from the ages of 10 to 18 came to this location to celebrate the end of a 6 show weekend. There were about 30 kids and about 7 parents.

We were greeted with warmth and welcoming hospitality. We knew our orders were going to bombard the kitchen, and we hoped that they would not be annoyed with us. It was exactly the opposite the manager, and the staff continuously checked in with us and apologized for the long wait. But no one even noticed the wait time. Y’all had a place to sit down and connect with one another to celebrate closing night and we are super grateful.

Everyone got their food and ice cream and we left super happy. This location is so lucky to have so many hardworking teammates!”
