The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)“

“Late in life, I’ve discovered Imo’s Pizza. We get delivery from Imo’s quite a lot. Their chef salads are fantastic, their sandwiches are also very good, the pizzas are a St. Louis tradition, and their spaghetti Bolognese is one of the best kept secrets of St. Louis cuisine. Believe it or not, I’ve had their spaghetti Bolognese multiple times, and every single time it is served perfectly prepared “al dente”. The portion is larger enough. I usually just eat half and save the other half for later. Imo’s has been around a long time. I hope they continue to be a tradition in St. Louis.“

I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! We love the carnivore pizza! The pizza sauce has the right flavor and isnt bitter or sweet, its perfect.Their wings are made without deep frying. They run them thru their pizza cooker. If you like crisper wings just tell them you want them crispier. The hillbilly seasoning is my favorite but they are all soo good. Also, the stuffed crust bites are a must try. There is a pool table, some slots and a couple of games for the kiddos to enjoy.“

“I have had a lot of food from Loafers over the past few years but never had enough information to write a review! They serve a more cafe-style menu during lunch, offering amazing soups, sandwiches and salads. I have eaten lunch at Loafers many times and loved every experience. During dinner service, they serve their amazing pizzas, which I only got to experience for the first time recently. We went with another couple and ended up getting their spinach pizza and their seasonal pizza, which had far too many elements to name. Both pizzas were amazing. The service was great, though they did seem to want to turn the table quickly, understandably, as they are quite busy constantly. Highly recommend this space, as it is not unreasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food and service you receive.“

“I've heard Blackthorn was the place to go in St. Louis for deep dish pizza. I was not misled! I went for dinner with my cousin and his wife. We got a 16" deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. It was phenomenal! The cheese pull on this thing was ridiculous, so cheesy! Two pieces ko'd me. The crust was perfect! Crispy on the bottom and soft and fluffy directly under the toppings. Perfect for a fork and knife. I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza, and this will be my go to from now on! Highly recommend!“

“I have dined in and had delivery (twice). All experiences were great. Although the first time I ordered delivery, was Saturday night after the Mardi Gras parade🤦🏼‍♀️. The food took a bit to get here but was still fantastic, and it was 100% my fault for horrible timing. The last delivery was super fast and the food, again, was outstanding. This has quickly become one of my favorite go to places. Dining in, this place is COOL. “We ordered two cauliflower crust, all-vegetable pizzas to-go yesterday afternoon. While the pizzas were prepared very nicely (in terms of topping layout and quantity) by an employee, the pizzas were both burned to different degrees - one quite a bit and the other partially. This situation required us to return to Mod Pizza when we opened the pizza boxes at a nearby park. **We want to thank Charlie, Manager at Mod Pizza-Kirkwood, for his courtesy and professionalism yesterday in resolving our concerns.** Charlie and the employee who helped us earlier today made things right for us, and we feel much better about returning to this particular Mod Pizza in the future! We also want to give our great thanks to Mod Pizza-Kirkwood employee Ethan who was outstanding—very conscientious, warm, and professional—during a previous visit to this location.

We very much appreciate Mod’s rich assortment of vegetables and the non-white flour option (i.e., the cauliflower crust).

A few requests for Mod Pizza as a company:

1.) Please train your Staff to consistently uphold standards of courtesy and professionalism. Some are excellent (courteous and thorough) and others are not particularly friendly and don't seem especially motivated to make sure that the food is well-prepared from start to finish.

2.) Please cut your broccoli much larger. For the pizzas prepared for us today, the broccoli was almost completely burned, and inedible. Our experience (in pizza-making at home) is that if the broccoli pieces are large, they won’t get burned.

3.) Please put the raw garlic on your pizza after the pizza is taken from the oven; if the garlic is cooked with the pizza, it comes out charred.

4.) In regard to dietary restrictions:

a.) Please find a way to make your cauliflower crust vegan. We had been advised by another Mod Pizza location that the cauliflower crust is vegan, but it turns out that that other location apparently gave us the incorrect information!

b.) Please offer a vegan, whole-wheat crust option.

“Impromptu date night away from the kids lead us to this place! We arrived at peak dinner time- 7:30- and shockingly there was no wait! I can’t imagine this will last for long, because the service is fabulous, and the food is delicious! We have really enjoyed the other restaurants by these guys- and Press does not disappoint! I loved the Lavender cocktail, Husb enjoyed the sweet take on the old fashioned. I also had the beet salad to start- but ate it too fast to get a photo! The smash pizzas have a delicate combination of flavors, are easy to eat and heat up the next day to continue the culinary enjoyment!“

“Cheap outing if you’ve got a family to feed and on a small budget.
The buffet itself leaves something to be desired besides pizza, however there is a mid salad bar, some basic noodles and sauce as well as desserts like brownies and cinnamon rolls that add some fluff to the plates. drinks are endless and if it’s not to busy, you can ask for special made pizzas with crazy toppings and styles like “chicken and waffle with red onions” that’s probably one of my favorite things about the place.
Tables are generally clean, and the staff is always nice and attentive, however you can tell it’s the kind of place running off minimum wage overall.
Because I’m cheap, I never really get much from the arcade area however I am glad it exists for the kids sake.
My only major gripe about the place is that sometimes it can get a little crowded and chaotic with kids running around and the other people sometimes look/act like hooserish creatures themselves. Otherwise it’s a solid choice for the family to fill up in between the daily hustle and bustle.“
