“Cute little restaurant and bar. Met a friend for lunch. I ordered the BLC Salad. They mix the ranch dressing into the salad which was a nice plus. The salad was huge which was another huge plus. I like when the sliced egg and chicken are warm when the rest of the salad ingredients are cold. Fresh ingredients and very flavorful. The vibe of this restaurant felt like a neighborhood bar like Cheers. Very good service.“

“First time visiting JJ’s stopping in for a late lunch. All the staff were super friendly. Food all was hot and tasty. Large portions that we needed to bring half of it home. Prices very reasonable. Very nice diner atmosphere with plenty of old photos and memorabilia on the walls.“

“I had lunch at Halftime yesterday and the food was wonderful. The special of the day was a Smashburger, homemade chips and a salad. I also shared some southwest chicken rolls as an appetizer. The southwest chicken rolls are always great, but I really loved the Smashburger and homemade chips. The chips had a really tasty seasoning on them. Apparently, this meal was a special only and not on the everyday menu, but it should be. Everything was delicious and our server was great.“

“Its out first time in this area and we decided to give this place a try. Staff was super friendly all smiles as we walked in. I believe our waitresses name was Ava and she was probably one of the nicest waitresses I've had at a restaurant in a while. It was the first time we had seen fried green beads on a menu so we had to try them, not bad but probably wouldn't order again over many of the other options they have. However everything else we had was great and don't pass on dessert because Ava sold us on some chocolate cake and I'm definitely not mad at her for it. We will be back if we are ever in the area again.“

“I enjoy their Sunday brunch. It's open to the public. Great atmosphere and service. The views over the golf course are very pretty. They do take reservations.

Parking: On a busy Sunday, it can be difficult to find a parking space.

Dietary restrictions: Their Sunday buffet allows you to choose foods to meet your dietary restrictions, but I didn't see any specific accommodations being made otherwise. For example, no gluten-free waffles or Danish were offered.“

“We had a 6 top on Friday April 17 at 6pm in Royal Oak. Danielle was our server, she was nice, polite and quick. The 1 appetizer for another couple came with their dinner. 4 of the six people got their meals. About 5 mins later our 2 burgers came. Both prepared wrong (order was 1 burger as is on menu, 1 burger with only pickles). Both were sent back. Waitress came over, realized we didn't have our meal, apologized. 5 mins later a manager came over and said our meal would be out soon. As our friends were just about finished with their meals, our burgers finally came, about 15 mins too late. Burgers were fine. Nothing to brag about, I ate half because I had lost my appetite. When the bill came, nothing was comped or reduced in price. My husband paid the bill and I was pretty PO'ed at him that he actually paid it without asking for some sort of discount. The steak ordered by a friend was super salty, and the chicken on the salad was dry. I know they have kinks to work out, but the place and food isn't really much to brag about.“

Not only was he good at service but was able to bring humor to the table which brings some entertainment to the experience. One big thing that I enjoy is having a beer first ready to go before my meal and that expectation was met. Their pork porterhouse...thick and cooked perfectly with an amazing seasoned sauce. Those accompanying carrots with their sweet glaze...out of this world. The meatball appetizer was seasoned so well and accompanied with a crisp delicious beer bread. My Manhattan...perfect, strong. Dessert was huge (caramel bacon brownie) and that caramel was sinful. I called ahead and asked the staff if they could help me surprise my wife for our anniversary dinner. All I told them was, “I’m planning to bring my wife here for our first time to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. Please help me make it a memorable experience for her. She doesn’t know about this.” From that moment on, the staff went above and beyond for us. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. They spent time with me on the phone suggesting ideas and helping plan the entire evening. As soon as we walked through the front doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and escorted to our table. While my wife was admiring the beautiful and cozy atmosphere, the staff gave me the reassuring “we got you” signal, allowing me to sit back, relax, and enjoy the night with her. Oliver our server was very attentive & super polite even though we came in late. They were shortstaffed, but Tammy the manager quickly seated us & made sure we.had everything we needed. Went for a quick lunch. The salad bar was fully stocked and overall delicious. The mushrooms did not look fresh and appeared to be from the previous night. My wife ordered a New York Strip and was thoroughly disappointed. The steak was not very tender and had very little seasoning or flavor. The service was pleasant as always, and we appreciated the attentiveness of the server.“

Ordered and it took ten minutes to get it. Normally I wouldn’t mind but we had my MIL with us in her wheelchair. It came and was the Tiniest piece of cheesecake I’ve ever been served for $10 😳. I would recommend skipping dessert and go buy a whole cheesecake at Dierbergs next door for the same price and less wait.“
