“It's always a crapshoot to find a local restaurant when you're on the road. This one was pretty good for breakfast. The biscuits and red potatoes were very good. Veggie omelet was ok, cheese inside was velveta or similar.
Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Bathroom was sub-standard.“

“Easy in out location. When you're in West Plains or passing thru. Open late. Plenty of seating, large parking lot. Handicapped accessibility. Huge menu, drink menu. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Great crust, and seasoning had blue cheese butter. 😋. Take a break and visit when you're hungry.“

Also I dropped some cocktail sauce and it splattered everywhere I tried to clean it up to where nobody would see because I was embarrassed and then everybody saw and they didn't make me feel bad at all and then also other customers were helping me clean... so then I got really nervous and I dropped a whole thing of tartar sauce anyhow it was a pleasant surprise when my friend Tiffany and her daughter - Chaslin had me as their company for dinner!“

“My wife, friends and I had a great experience at Side Pockets in Blue Springs. They have great pool tables, super tasty jalapeño cheese bites and fun dart machines as well.

The only off-putting experience for me was when we were initially trying to play on the dart machines. A prompt popped up on the screen for some kind of registration process that could be bypassed but we weren’t sure how to do it. After a very polite employee tried to override it for several minutes and couldn’t figure it out, he called over another gentleman who asked/stated things like (paraphrased): “Who touched the buttons?” “I figured this out in 9 seconds.” “I blame the educational system.” Just some arguably degrading things. One of my friends had jokingly pointed at me when he asked who had touched the machine but I hadn’t actually been the one to mess with it and he still said those things.

I still want to leave five stars. After all, maybe I misread the situation. But it seemed like misplaced humor and slightly rude at the time. Especially when the other employee couldn’t seem to solve the problem either (he may have been intending to poke fun at his employee as opposed to us).

Regardless, it was a fun experience overall and I give a big thanks to the staff for being overwhelmingly helpful and inviting. The waitresses were very proactive in ensuring we were taken care of while we were there.“
