“In my opinion this is the best place to go eat in West Plains. Their breakfast, which is usually what I go for, is the best. The service, atmosphere, and food are just amazing. My personal favs are the Eggs Benedict and the Cinnamon French toast. Talk about yummy!! If Kara is working be sure to sit in her section. She is absolutely amazing! Also, if you are looking for things to do around Missouri and/or looking for informational booklets, look no further than right through the first double doors on your right. Ya'll enjoy and can thank thank me later, 😆“

“We are from out of state, a state that knows how to cook. We are currently in the process of building a house in MO, so we are checking out local fairs every time we come down.

Coltons steakhouse in West plains, MO was amazing. They close at 9pm and we arrived at 8pm. We were greeted with a kind face and friendly welcome. We were seated right away and our server, Shaylee, arrived shortly.

We ordered our drinks and the onion blossom to start. The onion blossom was cooked to perfection with a light, crispy dredge. Shaylee came back to check on us and ask if we were ready to order.

My husband ordered the Del Rio Riley medium with a ceaser salad, and loaded baked potato. I order the 12 oz ribeye medium with a house salad and loaded baked potato.

The salads came out first with hot buttered dinner rolls. The salads are very large for being a side dish and filling. The ceaser salad dressing is a bit tangy compared to other ceaser dressings, but non the less tasting. The dinner rolls were hot, crunchy on the out side, and soft in the middle. Perfection with house whipped honey butter.

Shortly our steaks arrived and we were not disappointed. Both of our steaks were cooked as ordered. They both had a nice crust, juicy, with little fat to be wasted. The potatoes were large and loaded with cheese, chives, bacon, and sour cream.

Our server, Shaylee, was absolutely pleasant, smiley, and talkative. We asked her plenty of questions, and if she did not know the answer she asked and came back immediately with the answer. These questions were related to food ingredients in which you can not expect them to know every ingredient. She was very knowledgeable on any other question we asked.

Additionally, Shaylee took the time to talk to us and engage in conversation about where we are from, even asking us questions, and about us moving down here.

There were no extra gratuity charges, or surprises on our check. We were not rushed, or made to feel guilty that it was close to closing time.

I highly recommend Coltons steak house in West Plains, MO and ask for Shaylee. You will not be disappointed.“

“There food is always good not once Bad and hot plus they get your food to you right as they pull it from the friers and other things they use to cook But if you go to the drive through expect around 30 minute wait give or take if there's only one car in front of you if there's more than that it's too long of a wait for it if you really don't want to eat inside the restaurant“

“My wife, friends and I had a great experience at Side Pockets in Blue Springs. They have great pool tables, super tasty jalapeño cheese bites and fun dart machines as well.

The only off-putting experience for me was when we were initially trying to play on the dart machines. A prompt popped up on the screen for some kind of registration process that could be bypassed but we weren’t sure how to do it. After a very polite employee tried to override it for several minutes and couldn’t figure it out, he called over another gentleman who asked/stated things like (paraphrased): “Who touched the buttons?” “I figured this out in 9 seconds.” “I blame the educational system.” Just some arguably degrading things. One of my friends had jokingly pointed at me when he asked who had touched the machine but I hadn’t actually been the one to mess with it and he still said those things.

I still want to leave five stars. After all, maybe I misread the situation. But it seemed like misplaced humor and slightly rude at the time. Especially when the other employee couldn’t seem to solve the problem either (he may have been intending to poke fun at his employee as opposed to us).

Regardless, it was a fun experience overall and I give a big thanks to the staff for being overwhelmingly helpful and inviting. The waitresses were very proactive in ensuring we were taken care of while we were there.“
