“guy who works the front is very friendly. i will say you won't find a Chinese place that puts as much meat in every dish. fried rice cooked correctly too. they give you so much meat that i usually buy a side of rice and add some meat from main dish for a snack later. i get the beef fried rice and the beef is good and plenty. it could be a tad bit more tender, but its definitely not tough and easy to chew. they use huge chunks of chicken. they totally got the meats. no bathroom inside, smaller dining area ( usually not full) its slightly warm inside when its hot day. if you turn on road next to restaurant on east side it'll take you back to one way to chestnut then a quick right and its right there. not easiest to enter, but its worth it, i tell you now believe me later“

“My friends and I came here after going to another bar in town. We were after good drinks and some Christmas vibes. The staff here was incredible and the food and drinks were amazing! We got a vegan mushroom pizza and it's probably the best I've ever had. Skip the other places in town. This is the place.“

“We used Google to find a restaurant near us after an appt and this was the first listing. So glad we tried it! We got the chips and dips because I wanted to try the mango salsa. It was good and the queso was queso but the black bean was the star of that appetizer. We were there during the day and ordered the lunch portions even though full size portions were still available. I have no idea how much more you get with dinner but it has to be huge. We left so full. I got the rasta pasta with shrimp which was incredible. My husband ordered the tiki tacos with fish and said not only was it the best fish tacos he's ever had but it was the best coleslaw he's ever gotten at a restaurant. Then they offered us homemade keylime pie made with the owners mother's recipe. Like I said we was full but I ordered some to go. It was so creamy and refreshing. I'm so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back.“

“I like Lindberg's but they don't always do their best. Went Thursday night for the jam, sat at the bar right in front of one of the bar tenders. She did not acknowledge my presence. “First time here while visiting family in Missouri. The place had a slight smell when we first arrived but we decided to stay and try it out. The server was patient and knowledgeable. I ordered the Oh My Omelet with homefries and biscuit and gravy. (Oh My Omelet - Smoked bacon, sausage, smoked ham, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheddar, green onions, Jack and Swiss cheeses Topped with country gravy.) The food came out pretty quick and the omelet was pretty good. The home fries were nice and crisp and not too hard however they lacked seasoning. I added a little salt and they were delicious. The portions were very good for the price point.“

“Just had lunch at the North Glenstone location. Excellent! The pulled pork was perfect, tender and juicy with a great flavor. Having several selections of BBQ sauce is good because everyone's idea of the best sauce varies person to person. To be honest, the sides are just as great as the barbeque meat. I had fried okra (pretty average) and potato salad (not traditional, but way above average). My husband had the cheesy corn and it was great! It's pretty sweet though, so be aware of that. We are looking forward to going back and trying the ribs!“

“We had a really good experience at Hemingway’s inside Bass Pro in Springfield. The atmosphere was unique and relaxing, especially with the aquarium and outdoor theme throughout the restaurant. The food was pretty good overall, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Everything came out fresh, portions were solid, and it was a nice place to sit down and unwind after walking around Bass Pro. I’d give it about an 8/10 overall and would definitely go back again when we’re in the area.“

“Just needed a quick hit of some Chinese food and this was the closest restaurant. I got in and out quickly and the food was great, with a large portion size. Service was fine, nothing to particularly comment on and the atmosphere was your standard Chinese restaurant.“

I ordered the coffee-cake pancake combo — two eggs, one bacon, one sausage, hash browns, and an orange juice. A simple meal, yes, but simplicity can reveal the cosmic foundations of existence. The pancakes arrived like warm geological strata, sugared with the kind of sweetness that makes you remember childhood before the first disillusionment. The eggs, pristine, glowed with the quiet resilience of creatures that never lived to see the cruelty of this world.

Kelly and Hailey guided me through the experience like benevolent spirits of the American roadside. Their humanity, their small kindnesses, more than atoned for the Sisyphean atrocities I once endured at the IHOP in Boulder, Colorado — a place I speak of now only in whispers, as one might reference a failed expedition up K2, where many good men were lost.

This IHOP, in contrast, was alive. Hopping, you could say — though that word is too light for what I witnessed. A full theater troupe entered, radiant with the madness of performance, and the staff absorbed their entropy with grace. It was as if, in real time, they were turning the tide of positivity in the universe, defying entropy through the sacred ritual of service during the dinner rush.

Here, in the fluorescent glow and the aroma of frying batter, I found not despair, but a portal — a gentle opening in the fabric of the mundane, reminding me that sometimes, even in the vast indifference of the cosmos, breakfast-for-dinner can be a form of salvation.
