“Elvie's Jackson, Mississippi I cant say enough about this place. From the time we walked in to the time we left, every staff member was extremely accommodating and obviously excited to be there. From the speciality canapés to the soft shell crab and the fluke, I was absolutely blown away. The thought and intention behind the food as well as their drinks is incredibly fascinating. Thank you to the head sous chef Dalton Ferguson for making sure everything was perfect. 10/10 If you haven’t been I promise you’re missing out.“

“The Library is definitely a hidden gem of Jackson. McKenzie was an amazing waitress. She talked us thru all menus and gave us all her recommendations. I strongly recommend having a reservation for the best spot in the place. The food was amazing with so many different flavors. We will absolutely be returning!!!“

“This location is the best! In the middle of bad weather, I raced to this restaurant to pick up my order I called in. This location closes at 9:30. I pulled up to door at 9:29 in the middle of a storm. The worker saw me pull up and came out to my car with an umbrella and walked me to the door. I apologized for coming so late and paid for my order. The worker was so friendly and kind to me the whole time. Walking out of the restaurant, she said “Let me help.” She grabbed the umbrella again and walked me to my car. I know this may not mean much to some, but this is one of the nicest things that happened to me this year! Also, my order was correct and the food was amazing! Thank you sooo much! ♥️“

“Stopped here while getting gas next door because I wanted something quick to eat, and this place exceeded my expectations. I told them I was in a rush, ordered my food, went to pay for my gas, and by the time I came back my food was already ready.
The employees were super friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and really well made. It’s hard to find a place that’s both this fast and this good. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.“

“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“
“This is one of the most beautiful places to dine in Jackson. The food, drinks, atmosphere.... servers, bartenders.... absolutely everything is great. Expect a lovely upscale, yet laid-back environment. They are not expedient, but they are well worth the visit!!!“

“Today was the 1st time I’ve been to The Manship. We sat outside as the day was overcast and comfortable temps. The atmosphere is laid back southern elegance. Lunch menu choices made it difficult to choose. We started with the seasonal cocktail, a very Manship twist on a French 75 served frozen in a coupe and garnished with a violet. This is one I hope they make a permanent part of their menu. Perfect balance of sweet/sour and delightful on the palate. Next we shared smoked tuna dip served with what I think were fried tortillas seasoned with chili lime and saltine crackers. It rivals the best smoked tuna dip I’ve ever had from along the Atlantic. For entrees we chose small plates: Manship Woodfired Oysters served with focaccia and a special of Bbq pork belly served with Brussel Sprout slaw. I am not fond of brussel sprouts & surprisingly I loved the slaw. The oysters were beautifully served in a dish that kept them warm and not overcooked. The thick slices of bread were perfect for dipping in the butter sauce used in cooking the oysters. The pork belly was so good. Just the right amount of rub and sauce cooked to tender, melt in your mouth perfection. Our server was a total pro. I feel so bad because I didn’t write down her name. My daughter who was with me once worked as a server at a restaurant much like Manship. She was very impressed because our dishes arrived in perfect order and timing. She was knowledgeable about every item on the menu. Do yourself a favor and go eat at this wonderful establishment! We will come back!“

“Primos has been a longtime staple in the Jackson community, and there’s a reason they’ve stood the test of time.
On this visit, I ordered the Early Bird Platter and couldn’t decide between the grits and the hash browns, so I got both! And I’m glad I did! Everything was delicious. My kiddo enjoyed the pancakes and grits, and there wasn’t a crumb left on the plate!
Over the years, we’ve enjoyed both their breakfast offerings and their lunch blue plates, and we’ve never had a bad experience. The food is consistently good, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, and even when the restaurant is packed during the lunch rush, the wait for a table is usually surprisingly short.
If you’re looking for a reliable local favorite with great food and great service, Primos continues to deliver. It’s one of those places that keeps people coming back generation after generation.“

“I went here nearly 10 years ago. My fraternity, the Omega Psi Phi, hosted our 7th District conference in Jackson. One of our local fraternity brother’s took us here (we had our nose in the air). Mannn what the song say, “Smoke filled room, whiskey (ain’t no liquor) and chicken wing… people dancing and drinking… and no one wants to leave!!! Mannn this “hole in the wall” was home, and I’m still telling people IN FLORIDA, about how good these sandwiches were.“

“Went to celebrate my bday last Friday (03/06). Waitress was nice, place was cute, and my food was good even though the scalloped potatoes were slightly undercooked (I was too tipsy to care). My friends also said their food was decent. I guess I caught everyone on a good night bc these reviews were making me second guess my choice. I will be coming back for brunch!🙂↔️“

“The food tasting was good with seasoning, but the steak was tough and oily. The steak was stripped but felt like hard rubber. My order was a takeout. The dish looked appealing and oily at the bottom. It was onions on top and very oily at the bottom appears to have been some kind of season all mix. The packaging was great. It was package and bagged great. It was red oily and greasy at the bottom of the container the steak came in. I was offered because I didn't get to eat what I paid for because of the preparation of the steak. The customer service was good. The memorable part for me was to pay for a good smelling meal that delivered steak that was to tuff to eat.“

“Ordered a 2 egg breakfast and they never made my order and I asked for a refund 3 times and each time they got sidetracked and never answered me. I expect either a refund or my food.
Update: I went back the next day and they made up for it. I was told they had a busy night.“
