“The Four Foodie Sisters took on the Tamale Trail in search of the best tamales. STOP RIGHT HERE, because this place is the bomb. It is only one of two places we would drive back to with more people!!! The Tamale Pie and the Fried Tamales are off the chart. Do not pass this up or miss out. The staff was AMAZING as well. Go to the 1427 Hwy 1 location because it has the full menu. We promise, you won't be disappointed. The Four Foodie Sisters know food“

“This place is the definition of local. Pure Mississippian hospitality with a laid back feel. The entrance has you walking through the kitchen where steaks are grilled on an old grill and fresh cut fries are fried in cast iron skillets. The menu is small, but the steaks, fries, bread, and salad are all very good. They also have authentic mississippi style tamales which I would recommend getting too. This is an institution, and quite frankly I have never been to another restaurant that treated you as family. And I was just a visitor passing through. Definitely a must stop!“

“This little spot is part of the historic downtown. Located a few blocks from the Mississippi River, it features regional specialities like catfish, steaks, wings, chicken, fried green tomatoes, all well prepared and delicious!\nThe service started slow, the young servers were tied up with large tables. We ordered and service thereafter was smooth and efficient, so we left a large tip. A nice find in Greenville.“

“This was my second visit here at Scoops. The first time I had a small cup of gumbo, it was okay. Each day is a different lunch menu for $13.00 per person. This isn't bad if you want comfort food. 👍🏻 They also have a regular menu where you can order other items. Those prices are kinda reasonable under $20.00. I had the ruben 🥪 sandwich with potato 🥔 salad. Other family members weren't impressed. The burger 🍔 meat was very dry. The hot roast beef sandwich with gravy was very disappointing. It was everything but hot 🥵 The cheese 🧀 looked old, & the gravy was cold. 🥶 A lot of people had been raving about Scoops but never believed in the hype. 🤗 Oh yes, 1 more thing they do have a variety of delicious ice cream.. 😜😋“
