“The food was good, I had sauteed crab claws, shrimp and grits, with a salad and asparagus. The shrimp and grits are definitely different from the norm they have a nice flavor but I wasn't crazy about the texture. The asparagus was delicious! The service was outstanding. We went early to beat the crowd so we didn't have to wait.“
“This restaurant is amazing with great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the crab cakes, mixed green salad, and osso bucco(life changing 10/10 highly recommend). I travel for work and will be making this a must go to anytime I am in the area.“
“Love this place. Definitely visit here if you are in town and looking for a good place to eat and enjoy a good drink. We stopped by and totally enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Payton was a fantastic server and was extremely attentive. We will return to this great location.“
“The location is close to William Carey, so I'm able to just hop in the car and head over for lunch. If you don't want the main dish of the day, they always have alternatives just as delicious. My favorite is the chicken orzo dish they have started to bring in. The orange fluff is good, and I always have to get the lima beans. Every plate comes with a sweet tea, which is a plus! Can't beat their style of home cooking ?I will say choose the roll over the cornbread ?“
“I’ve been here multiple times and the atmosphere is amazing. Think of eating on your grandma’s back porch with friends you’ve known forever alongside the new kid in the neighborhood. The food is amazing. My favorites are the pizza, chicken and waffles, and any of the burgers. There are outdoor games to play with large screens if your favorite teams are playing. This place can’t be beat.Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps to access seating areas.“
“This was my 1st visit to Hattiesburg and was informed about this seafood restaurant, so I decided to try it. I must say I was impressed by the delightful service. I ordered the catfish over jambalaya and a cup of seafood gumbo. The gumbo to me was okay but not something I would order again as it was lacking in the flavor department. Now, the catfish dinner was on point, it had great flavor the seasoning was on point the breading on the fish had a nice crisp, although I'm not certain why mushrooms were on the dish as they are not needed to make this dish a 5 star. My server was on point as she made some suggestions and gave a as to what she liked and what was ordered the most. Overall the atmosphere was very nice and next time I'm in town I'm definitely coming here for dinner.“
“Conni Cone has a huge variety of flavors and the smoothest ice I have ever had in snowballs. In four out of my last five visits, the ice was almost creamy. The last time I went, the ice was a bit chunky, but they may have had some trouble their machine that day. The flavors are amazing every time.“
“This is a local bar that serves house made brews on tap and burgers. They also have some guest taps and a big selection of cans and bottles. We had burgers and some of the beers. The beers were pretty good. The Mystic, a Belgian hibiscus ale, is particularly good, even if you’re someone who doesn’t like beer. The burgers were a little overcooked for my taste. The atmosphere was okay. My wife thought the place was a little too small for the volume of the music. It made conversation difficult. They had a live folk singer who I’d have paid to stop singing, but the place is pretty cool overall and worth a stop if you’re in Hattiesburg.“
“A proper hole in the wall beer joint. Cold beer, friendly bar tenders, pool tables, and Karaoke on the weekend(Friday and Saturday), and no stupid stuff (fighting, drugs)! Yes smoking (tobacco) is permitted inside because it’s located outside the city limits. BYOB is permitted but there is a fee ($10). Beer and food prices are very reasonable.“
“I was staying at a local hotel and walked over here. I walked inside and sat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the bartender and asked about the food. She recommended a great burger. I substituted the sweet potato fries and it was a wise choice. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was good. I would eat here again.“
“Great service and atmosphere. My wife had the fried pork chops with fries and lima beans. Large serving of 2 pork chops which from my one bite was deliciously tender and perfectly cooked. I ordered the hamburger steak lunch special of the day which came with grilled onions and gravy, fried okra, mash potatoes and gravy, lima beans, and a roll. Portioning was perfect on the sides but a little skimpy on the hamburger burger steak but it might be because it's a lunch portion. The hamburger steak was definitely overcooked and dry as I ordered medium and it was definitely well done. This was my only complaint as a second time customer which ordered the dinner hamburger steak the first time. Pricing is very decent.Dietary restrictions: There's a large salad menu and vegetarian options. As well as gluten free options, calorie friendly options, and keto friendly options.Kid-friendliness: Waitresses and staff are very professional and friendly with children.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entry ways for wheelchairs and ideal parking near the main entry.“
“When we went they have live band playing which was very deverse, we got there it was jazz,as the night went on we heard old school and 80/90s rock, then they played rob zombie. Drinks where cold and service was fast people where friendly. Small place but had plenty of outside space to hang out as well. I adored the atmosphere there.. Will go back“
“From start to finish five stars! Having been in the restaurant business previously for over 17 years, my other half has approved! Hold temps on food were great! Food was hot, fresh and delicious. We love the salad bar so GC is a hot spot when we travel if it is on the way! Xavien was so kind checking us in, Brittany was a great server and our manager was very friendly. This was a great stop for us. We had room to park our RV and car in tow. Wal-mart is just behind it for our shopping needs after dinner. Did I mention the rolls!!?? Yum! ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Starting this off, I'm not a fan of sandwiches at all, but this place has one of the friendliest and positive staff. Not to mention the vibe here is absolutely amazing, I always see a smile on everyone's face and probably one of the prettiest buildings i've ever seen in hattiesburg. Fan favorite for me personally is the Newk's Q (obviously!) and to follow that up with a miss vickey's bbq chips. This is definitely the place that would turn me into a sandwhich person for not being a sandwhich person.“
“Stopped by here for a quick bite Wednesday evening. The staff was quite friendly after a brief moment of upset that my cousin Tommy Tallarico wasn't with me.Eventually they got me calmed down enough to place an order, though it did take 45 minutes and half an Ativan.Ordered the ALL STAR special: Hashbrowns in lieu of grits, eggs over medium, bacon, plain waffle...please and thank you.The waiter didn't even write anything down.Instead he called out to the cook using a sort of WH Code System...possibly developed during the downtime of the Second World War.Strange really, when you think about it.Without that absolute nightmare conflict sweeping across the globe, the founders might have never met. "Tom" and "Joe" (clearly code names. "Tom" worked in military intelligence, which means he continued to do so until his death in 2017.) decided that what America needed was a place to get waffles after the bars close.Somewhere with a jukebox, sales tax figured into the menu price, and crewed by real Problem Solver types. People who get things DONE, no matter what kind of fresh hell is going down in the next booth over...Every WH employee is required to take 3 weeks of SEAL survival training as a new hire, and several intensive combat & logistics mini sessions any given year.Strength has built upon strength, 68 years strong, until what was originally conceived as a bulwark against the creeping globalization of the INTERNATIONAL house of pancakes has instead become a juggernaut of safety & security recognized all across the planet.Even the Federal Government has recognized this accomplishment, and decided (as the Federal Government will) to create the WAFFLE HOUSE index as a metric for evaluating disasters.Unlike life and love, the WH is seemingly NEVER OVER.Every hour of every day, they are there.Bring them your worry, your fear, your stomach full of cheap daiquiris...they will feed you, protect you, and have somehow managed to keep their prices in range of the WORKING POOR that once dreamed of joining the "Middle Class" in this blighted nation.I paid 13 dollars pre-tip for an incredible meal, cooked fresh to order and on the table at a. speed that shames any late night burger hell you care to name.I tipped 5 bucks, and thanked the crew for their service (which is ACTUAL SERVICE, and not just a semi-socialist construct designed to provide opportunity for the aforementioned American Working Poor provided they are willing to murder strangers and topple freely elected government across the globe without asking too many questions)TLDR for all those with TikTok brain:Go eat at Waffle House. It's good shit.“
“"STEAK" with a down home southern style atmosphere with southern hospitality twist incorporated into a nationally sought after menu item (Steak) as well as there other menu items that are not just thrown on a plate and served but is a plate that once ordered is built and created with the customer in “
“This was a nice experience at the Hattiesburg location. Visited here for Valentine. The wait was not very long and we chose to sit inside. It was chilly inside too with an opened door but not as much as outside seating. The waiter was kind to us. We ordered crawfish nachos and red beans and rice. Our order was incorrect initially due to custom requests but the waiter readjusted and we were satisfied. I would most definitely consider eating here again.“
“Shout out to Ariel! She was awesome!Of course, my husband and I enjoyed the food, but she really made the experience great. She was so sweet, her service was quick, and attentive- we never even asked for refills on our drinks. She already saw when we’re getting low, and slid them on the table.Definitely going to be requesting her for future visits.“
“My buddy and I was going to a UAB- Southern Miss football game and cased the surroundings where we go get some food and drink before going into the stadium. This was the best since we could park, walk to the place and then to stadium without going back to the car all within a three to four block area. We sat at the bar and was treated extremely nicely by the staff. Locals started coming in and even though we were UAB fans- they we pleasant and we engaged in conversation while watching the early football games on the numerous TV's. After drinking a few we decided to order food and I got a club sandwich. I am a rather large boy and it was all I could do to finish the plate. Met some nice local people. Drank some beer. Ate a meal. And UAB won the game. Life was good that Saturday. Glad we found this local place instead of the big box restaurants. Will be back in two years or possible before- when just passing through.“
“We were just married at Camp Shelby All Ranks Club on September 4th and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, the manager, Kimberly Hatten, along with Aprille & Tony, were the best to work with – they were easygoing and professional from the start, and made us, our Wedding Party, and guest feel very welcome. You couldn’t ask for a more compassionate group of people to work with. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. The staff did a wonderful job for us and I am very appreciative for the expertise provided. We had an amazing day and that is in no small part to their work. In addition to that the service, food, lighting, it was everything I could've imagined! Thank you!“
“Great local restaurant and bar. First time visiting and we definitely enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and engaging. We enjoyed some good karaoke while sampling a few appetizers and a very good main course. We enjoyed the blackwater bites and cajun chips with seafood dip appetizers. The main course was blackened red fish and boiled shrimped platter and both were outstanding in both taste and quantity. I’ve seen a lot of reviews about the price being high but it is absolutely not overpriced and the prices we paid were very fair. We definitely will be back again to sample more great food and enjoy some good karaoke.“
“Well, everything's great except th location, being right by an apt house, one customer didn't have $, another complained about their food three times over nothing, the staff did great and re-served her all three times but that shows what kind of people they get, mid morning, anyway I'd still eat there again, I ain't skeered..“
“SPICED PERFECTLY. Best food I’ve had since moving to this state. Amazing selection, please try the Lebanese tea. It’s fantastic. We ordered a platter (Petra mezza) with Kibbeh, falafel, gyro meat, grape leaves, chicken schwarma, a salad, baba gannoush, and hummus. Also Turkish coffee, and baklava. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. A new favorite.Staff is extremely friendly and kind. Kid friendly :)“
