“Great bbq. Service was good. Nice employees. Came in with my family when we were moving my sister and brother in law to Madison from Florida. Was a nice meal after a long day of unloading a moving truck. Had the football game on too which was nice to not miss.“

“Dickeys has a variety of different bbq options and free ice cream with your meal. They are at their best every bit of ok. I generally the few times I dealt with Dickeys was having them out of a pure wish for bbq on a bbq holiday but unfortunately I had to work so we decided to get Dickeys as they were the only bbq place nearby and open. I can say truthfully though the bbq was not terrible it was not great either as a matter of fact I'll say the ice cream was the best part of the meal. Prices are acceptable. Atmosphere is okay and customer service was good.“

“My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and we had Steven who has to be the best employee person in the building. His service and communication is off the charts. We didn’t mind waiting for our food which did take a while to come out to say it was slow but he kept us updated. I highly recommend him“

“Do yourself a favor and eat here. Everything I’ve had is excellent. Reasonable prices for such outstanding food. If you’re a fan of good southern food—ie, brisket, gumbo, deviled eggs, pecan pie—then your butt needs to be ordering food from this excellent restaurant. You’re welcome.“

“I was visiting from Toronto, Canada for an event and I put off visiting this place until we were ready to leave. I am kicking myself! The food here had me licking my ten fingers. I literally plan to visit just to have it again!
THANK YOU to the lovely people of Jackson, Mississippi who were kind enough to allow us to skip the line. The line was out the door and we waited as long as we could before we feared missing our flight. I am truly appreciative of all of the kind people I met in the line. Food was amazing, the men serving were quick and the people were all so nice to be around! Couldn't ask for more. My fiancé (who is from MS) order the fried chicken plate 10/10. Their fried chicken is amazing! I ordered the rib plate and OMG ... these were the best ribs I've had my whole life. My gawddd. I literally licked my 10 fingers and if I used my toes to eat I wouldve licked them too 😋 lmaoo! Look forward to going back!!“
“Everything I ordered today was great. Large rib tips, sausage, smoked wings, and Italian pasta. The ribs were juicy and tender. The wings were juicy and tender as well. The pasta was full of flavor. If I could change anything it would be a larger quantity of pasta.“

“It is ok. Best thing was the fries. Burger was ok not great. I tried to remember why I had quit eating there. . As soon as walked in I remembered the hard plank booth seating and the extremely loud environment. Did not help that a mother allowed her 2 little hellions to run and scream continuously the whole time I was in there. I couldn’t enjoy my ok burger for the hard seats and screaming kids.“

“We got it to go. Got out in traffic, and I was disappointed. I have always gotten the same at Dickeys. But this time I felt like I been had. I called them back and explained and they said they make it right…. Now these ribs was very good and cooked just right.“
“I am 68, and ribs have been one of my favorite foods all of my adult life. I rarely write reviews online, but I am compelled to recommend Down South BBQ & Burgers. Their ribs are the best I have ever had: almost (almost is the key) fall-off-the-bone tender and seasoned perfectly. Try them dry first, but they have a selection of delicious sauces, too. Down South also has delicious chicken, brisket, and wings in addition to burgers and a wide selection of side dishes. The folks are friendly and well organized and offer a simple, immaculately clean dining area if you want to dine in. If you haven't tried Down South, I encourage you to do so!“

“My boyfriend and I came here on a little lunch date, and the food here was amazing. I got the pepper steak salad with a loaded potato soup. Personally, I loved the combo; both dishes were great. My boyfriend got a hamburger, which was bigger than an Applebee’s hamburger and better. I’m not sure why the reviews are so low, but the food and service were excellent. The restaurant seemed very clean, and our server, Derenda, was so sweet. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and the pepper steak! I also love the atmosphere !!!“
