“Food was absolutely amazing. Crawdad claws for an appetizer. Duck gumbo, Mardi Gras, Chicken Bacon Ranch gnocchi, Rodeo burger, and Blue Burger for entrée. Finished up with Peach and berry cobbler. Each dish as good as the next. The true star of the meal was our server, Jasan, she is a master at her craft. She seems to truly love her job.“

“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it“

“Sarah, my server, absolutely amazing. I ordered the turnip green bites as an appetizer. It should have been my main dish. OMGoodness, they are delicious.
On the other side of things, my salmon was a bit overcooked. I'll take the blame since I didn't request medium.
The turnip green bites definitely made up for that.“

“Wes and I try to visit Martin’s in Livingston once a month or so. Today we had to work in the afternoon and didn’t feel like cooking. We had a few cold beers with friends and a few appetizers. We tried the bbq Pork Skins with queso and the Ultimate hush puppies. The Pork Skins were fantastic. I really liked them. The hush puppies were really hard and dry; hard to chew but Dalton, the bartender, gladly brought us another order. The Pork Skins were still better. We brought home a Club Sandwich, the Cordon Blue sandwich, and the Philly Steak and Cheese. Good food, good service, cold beers, and good times. We’ll be back.“

The hostess said there was not a table available for six, but then we were brought to a table that sat six people. I asked the manager if he could move us to a round table in the back several were open and he agreed and did that for us and turned what was going to be an unpleasant situation into a very pleasant afternoon dining experience “

We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“

“I've been here twice with my wife and kid. Both times we felt welcomed and the food was amazing. I had the Sassy Scotty the first time and decided second time to get a scoop of it plus the Fruity Fran. Both are fantastic. The quality is consistent in both times I had the Sassy Scotty. Fruity Fran had the perfect mix to get the right amount fruit and chicken in each bite. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it doesn't go unnoticed by my family. 10,000,000/10, highly recommend.
