“Everything I ordered today was great. Large rib tips, sausage, smoked wings, and Italian pasta. The ribs were juicy and tender. The wings were juicy and tender as well. The pasta was full of flavor. If I could change anything it would be a larger quantity of pasta.“

“Do yourself a favor and eat here. Everything I’ve had is excellent. Reasonable prices for such outstanding food. If you’re a fan of good southern food—ie, brisket, gumbo, deviled eggs, pecan pie—then your butt needs to be ordering food from this excellent restaurant. You’re welcome.“

“This is the best bbq in the city! I drive from stankin Rankin weekly to get it. Best ribs, crispy fries (with sauce on them) and baked beans with ground beef in town! Sausage good too. Be prepared to wait. Its at a gas station so parking can be tricky. Worth it still.“

“Today I tried E&L & it has been a while but I’m so glad that my mind lead me there!!! Everyone recognized my husband & I as we’ve patronized the restaurant for years. The service was great & fast, prices have increased a bit but still very affordable as everything is increasing. Got home & our dinner was delicious. We had Tips, Links, Sauce on fries, & potatoe salad. Thanks E&L!! Closing time has changed a bit so check with them about hours of operation.“

“It is ok. Best thing was the fries. Burger was ok not great. I tried to remember why I had quit eating there. . As soon as walked in I remembered the hard plank booth seating and the extremely loud environment. Did not help that a mother allowed her 2 little hellions to run and scream continuously the whole time I was in there. I couldn’t enjoy my ok burger for the hard seats and screaming kids.“

“I ordered 2 baked potatoes today 3/25 when the young lady suggested that I wait just a couple of more minutes so the potatoes would soften more, just enough to soak in all the flavors. Well!! it was worth the minutes. My order was delicious and hot. The two ladies there today were very friendly and pleasant. Reminding me of back home in Dallas TX. I definitely recommend this location especially with these two ladies Cooking👀“
“I am 68, and ribs have been one of my favorite foods all of my adult life. I rarely write reviews online, but I am compelled to recommend Down South BBQ & Burgers. Their ribs are the best I have ever had: almost (almost is the key) fall-off-the-bone tender and seasoned perfectly. Try them dry first, but they have a selection of delicious sauces, too. Down South also has delicious chicken, brisket, and wings in addition to burgers and a wide selection of side dishes. The folks are friendly and well organized and offer a simple, immaculately clean dining area if you want to dine in. If you haven't tried Down South, I encourage you to do so!“

“Ana was amazing, she turn the bad experience into a decent dinner with her good service. The ny strip overcooked (Ana did offer to bring me a new one. I said no, you know sometimes the chefs take it too personal and I no longer know what is in the plate ) sticky floors. And more. Ana did offer me a free ice cream because it was my birthday.“
