“We went there for an anniversary dinner with no reservation prior to arrival. We were seated immediately and the wait staff was wonderful. We ordered the Beef Tips and Redfish Almondine. Spectacular meal…!!! It was a wonderful experience 👍“

“last day in town and i thought i needed to treat myself. Was craving sea food and this place poped up close to my stay.. the moment i walked in i was greeted with a happy Friendly smile by the host. Seated quickly.. greeted by all the staff as i walked to my table with the host..the general manager was cleaning a table helping his crew and spoke to me in a welcoming greeting manor! With in 3min of being in the building everyone had turned my bad day grumpy mood upside down! The food is amazing fast fresh delivery to the table! Amazing atmosphere! “I had a reservation for 8 PM on a Saturday night which is an understandably busy time. According to their policy, cancellations must be made by 12 PM the same day to avoid a no-show charge. Unfortunately, just a few hours before our reservation, my boyfriend’s father suffered a medical emergency. When I called the restaurant, the staff was incredibly understanding and canceled our reservation without any penalty.

This level of compassion and flexibility isn’t something you’ll experienced everywhere in the area. When I explained the situation to another establishment we planned to visit same day before Ely’s, they refused to offer any consideration because we didn’t cancel “24 hours in advance,” despite the circumstances involving a sudden loss in the family.

Ely’s grace during such a difficult time was the epitome of excellent customer service and gave us one less thing to worry about. I genuinely look forward to dining there in the future and will gladly recommend them to others.“

“To be fair, I've only had one dish here but it keeps me coming back! The red beans and rice is the best in the whole metro area. I'm not even a big red beans n rice fan, but that's how good this dish is. The staff are very friendly and personable. Food comes out hot and fast. Really unique mardi-gras-style atmosphere. “It's been a while since we ate here but nothing has changed: superb food and service in a great atmosphere. We had pizza and chicken Marguerite which were excellent. The portions are very generous and the prices are very reasonable. Wait staff are friendly and efficient without being overbearing. Can't wait to come back soon!“

“The food is always great. But the catfish is over priced. They take a catfish filet and cut it in 3 or 4 pieces and sever it as a large catfish. I been in other states where the cost of living is much higher than Ms, I be getting 3 whole filets for the price Penn's charge!“

“On May 25th we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. The food and atmosphere was very nice. I will definitely go back but I do not want Adam as my waiter ever again. The issue that I have with Adam as our waiter is this. When he passed by our table my husband put his finger up letting him know that we needed him. He brushed my husband off and told him that he would be back and he went on to other tables. When he finally came back through he didn’t stop like he said he would he passed by our table and went to another table. At first I was like ok but it kept happening. And every time Adam passed by he looked right at me in my eyes. So now we’re ready to go so we’re waiting and waiting because he told us that he would be back. Well when he came back he passed us up again and eventually my husband had to stop him and give him the check. We gave him our payment with a $20 tip but at first I wasn’t going to leave one but I said no I’m gonna do what’s right. But now I regret even leaving it. After he walked off we waited and waited and I noticed him walking to another table he looked me right in my eyes. And my thought process was like ok we gave him the money now clear us out so we can go. Another waiter walked by because he noticed me looking for our waiter we told him what was going on and we asked him if he can let Adam know to please give us our receipt. Adam then walked straight from the table where the other customer was and gave us our receipt. I thought to myself he had it on him all this time why did he let us wait this long to give us the receipt we could’ve been gone? I was going to make a complaint when I walked out but I was like no I’m going to write a review because I was ready to go because I was very irritated at this point.“

“My boyfriend ordered a large salad with grilled chicken it was delicious and also very large. I ordered a shrimp po-boy, it had lots of delicious shrimp on it with all the trimmings. My disappointment was with the bread itself. I would have given the food 5 stars if they would use French bread the kind like New Orleans French bread. Then all of my orders would have been 5 stars. They also have a live band, only wish they would have started earlier and have had more cooling or fans on the outside where the band was. It just got too hot so we had to leave. We would have spent more money there if it weren't for that. We still recommend Shuckers a great place.

Parking: No problem, we were able to park right at the entrance. The place was full with plenty of parking to spare. ?

“My husband and I came from Memphis Tennessee to a dogshow in Jackson MS. We ran errands and Sante Fe Grill popped up. The food was delicious and service was excellent. I told my hubby I hadn’t had the great of food in Memphis. Very much worth it!“
