“The food was good as usual. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were so delicious we couldn't get a picture before they were eaten. Keyonte was the worst server ever. We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“

“With a tomato allergy, my options were limited. They had a standard brunch of breakfast items that was allergen free. It was the typical breakfast correctly cooked, but the fact that they had options for me gets them major bonus points. Wait staff was effective but nothing noteworthy. Atmosphere is a romantic, quiet restaurant. I won't say that they're upscale but "fancy" dress is appropriate here. It's still casual enough that jeans or shorts are ok. Be warned... There's typically a wait here. The day I went they were not taking reservations.

Dietary restrictions: They do not have a separate allergy friendly kitchen. They do sell shellfish. Im allergic to tomatoes, so I got the brunch special of bacon and eggs, avoiding any logically possible risks of cross contamination.“

“Happened upon this place while in town for a soccer tourney. Wanted some seafood and boy did we get what we wanted. Hostess was funny and friendly and our server Risha was amazing. She showed us all our options, asked questions to help us decide and helped us order to our liking. Everything we ate melted in our mouths. Best seafood and meal we have had in a very long time. The general manager stopped by to chat and thank us for coming in. We hope to bring our whole team back for a team dinner. Next time we’re in town this will be our go to place for sure. Can’t say enough about The Mighty Crab, thanks for having us!!“

“Today was my first time coming to The Landshark. Ive seen ads and heard good reviews so we drove a little to try it. Best crawfish around. The lady and man there were very friendly. And this is the best seasoned crawfish we've had. highly recommend!“

“Definitely geared toward the older crowd but the food was great with huge portions. Artichoke hearts were perfectly crispy and delicious, wedge was good but order dressing on side, and filet was like butter and cooked perfectly. could use more seasoning on steak and broccoli.“

“Made advanced reservations to celebrate our anniversary supper here. They honored my request for a booth (even though they let you know up front at reservation booths are not guaranteed).

Our gentleman server was top-notch all the way through. He took the time to explain their daily specials and was conscientious to ask if we had nut allergy when we ordered the brownie. He made sure we had what we needed and checked on us often.

We had portabello fries, salads, redfish Anna, and the brownie. All hot straight from the kitchen. The entire meal was Delicious!!

Parking: Leave earlier than usual, especially if you have reservations, in case you have to park elsewhere and walk to Walker’s, since their parking lot fills up quickly at peak hours.“

“last day in town and i thought i needed to treat myself. Was craving sea food and this place poped up close to my stay.. the moment i walked in i was greeted with a happy Friendly smile by the host. Seated quickly.. greeted by all the staff as i walked to my table with the host..the general manager was cleaning a table helping his crew and spoke to me in a welcoming greeting manor! With in 3min of being in the building everyone had turned my bad day grumpy mood upside down! The food is amazing fast fresh delivery to the table! Amazing atmosphere! “I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

“One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! Flew in town for work and I always try to find a nice local, non-chain spot, saw the reviews so decided to try it and we were so impressed we came back a few days later with a larger group. Our server was so attentive and helpful we requested him personally for our return trip. Spoke with management on both visits (TJ and Zack were their names I think) and they were gracious and appreciative.
From the classy atmosphere to the expertly made cocktails to the exquisite food and with dessert being the chef's kiss, this meal was not cheap and it was worth every penny! The fried green tomatoes are the TRUTH! If I am ever anywhere near Jackson again, I will be back!

“We ordered our main dishes from the seasonal menu. We ordered the Shrimp creamy pesto pasta and the Carmelized salmon. Both were phenomenal and perfect for the summer. Our appetizer was the calamari. The sauces that came with it were wonderful. The free bread was not the best this time as it usually is. It was hardened, and room temperature. It's usually warmed and soft. Our service was pleasant per usual.

“Second time visiting here and had a great experience both times. First time I got the chicken sandwich for lunch, this time a burger and cheese grits for dinner. All the food I had both times was great but I HIGHLY recommend the goat cheese grits- SO GOOD and the leftovers went great with an egg for breakfast the next day. Will definitely return if I’m back in the area!

“Made my family and I feel very welcome, and the food was great. We did not sit on the bar side with the live music because the kids were with us, but the band sounded great. I would highly recommended for family or date night. So many options to choose from on the menu and so reasonably priced“

“Absolutely the finest in the area / staff is wonderful / owner is always on hand and is one of the finest in the area / I have eaten in the finest restaurants from Chicago to the west coast none can compare with the service and food !!! And has the best coffee anywhere / onion rings with every order if you want!!! Music is mostly oldies and at level so you can talk to your partner while enjoying the restaurant - I have been eating there for over 30 years - nothing has changed - he has a 7ft security guard that can make you feel very safe. You just have to try it if you have not, you would be missing a great and memorable outing“

“First time here and it has me wanted more.“

“On May 25th we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. The food and atmosphere was very nice. I will definitely go back but I do not want Adam as my waiter ever again. The issue that I have with Adam as our waiter is this. When he passed by our table my husband put his finger up letting him know that we needed him. He brushed my husband off and told him that he would be back and he went on to other tables. When he finally came back through he didn’t stop like he said he would he passed by our table and went to another table. At first I was like ok but it kept happening. And every time Adam passed by he looked right at me in my eyes. So now we’re ready to go so we’re waiting and waiting because he told us that he would be back. Well when he came back he passed us up again and eventually my husband had to stop him and give him the check. We gave him our payment with a $20 tip but at first I wasn’t going to leave one but I said no I’m gonna do what’s right. But now I regret even leaving it. After he walked off we waited and waited and I noticed him walking to another table he looked me right in my eyes. And my thought process was like ok we gave him the money now clear us out so we can go. Another waiter walked by because he noticed me looking for our waiter we told him what was going on and we asked him if he can let Adam know to please give us our receipt. Adam then walked straight from the table where the other customer was and gave us our receipt. I thought to myself he had it on him all this time why did he let us wait this long to give us the receipt we could’ve been gone? I was going to make a complaint when I walked out but I was like no I’m going to write a review because I was ready to go because I was very irritated at this point.“
