“Traveling through on our way back to Virginia, and so glad we chose this stop for dinner. The food was good, but the service was phenomenal. Serenity was wonderful from the start. Knew the menu from experience, knew allergy protocol, and had the patience of a saint with me and my guys! Thank you, Serenity, for making our visit here one to remember!“

“When we entered, the host did not seem to have the best attitude and did not greet us. The waitress was very kind & worked hard to provide us with the best possible service. The kids accidentally broke a glass, and the waitress was more than accommodating with getting it cleaned up. The costs were not bad at all and the drink I ordered (the trash can) did its job for sure. I'd give the place a 4.5 rating out of 5 only because 1st impressions count. When you walk into an establishment, you don't want to be greeted with attitude or not greeted at all. The food and waitress saved the rating!“

“My husband and I were traveling from Destin to Texas. We were trying to find a place to stop eat and relax. We came up on Berrys and decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness how good it was from the food to waitstaff being so nice and helpful. We give it a 5 ⭐️“

“They got the best tasting Pan Trout and Catfish in town. It is cooked very well, just right, and is very soft and tender. Very little bones as well. Both Fishes mentioned above are definitely filleted Correctly. Definitely a Local Staple!!!!“

“Happened upon this place while in town for a soccer tourney. Wanted some seafood and boy did we get what we wanted. Hostess was funny and friendly and our server Risha was amazing. She showed us all our options, asked questions to help us decide and helped us order to our liking. Everything we ate melted in our mouths. Best seafood and meal we have had in a very long time. The general manager stopped by to chat and thank us for coming in. We hope to bring our whole team back for a team dinner. Next time we’re in town this will be our go to place for sure. “I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

“Made advanced reservations to celebrate our anniversary supper here. They honored my request for a booth (even though they let you know up front at reservation booths are not guaranteed).

Our gentleman server was top-notch all the way through. He took the time to explain their daily specials and was conscientious to ask if we had nut allergy when we ordered the brownie. He made sure we had what we needed and checked on us often.

We had portabello fries, salads, redfish Anna, and the brownie. All hot straight from the kitchen. The entire meal was Delicious!!

“To be honest… my wife and I pulled up and saw it was a store front and started to leave… but decided to give it a shot. So glad we did! We both were blown away by the service and the food! Bradley was our server — and was everything you want a server to be. Friendly, informative, attentive, fast, and thoughtful!

I got the A’HA stir-fry rice dish that had shrimp, crawfish, and chicken. I told my wife it is probably in the top three best tasting things I’ve ever eaten! And I travel and eat at highly reviewed places.

“The food was good as usual. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were so delicious we couldn't get a picture before they were eaten. Keyonte was the worst server ever. We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“

“One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! Flew in town for work and I always try to find a nice local, non-chain spot, saw the reviews so decided to try it and we were so impressed we came back a few days later with a larger group. Our server was so attentive and helpful we requested him personally for our return trip. Spoke with management on both visits (TJ and Zack were their names I think) and they were gracious and appreciative.
From the classy atmosphere to the expertly made cocktails to the exquisite food and with dessert being the chef's kiss, this meal was not cheap and it was worth every penny! The fried green tomatoes are the TRUTH! If I am ever anywhere near Jackson again, I will be back!

“We ordered our main dishes from the seasonal menu. We ordered the Shrimp creamy pesto pasta and the Carmelized salmon. Both were phenomenal and perfect for the summer. Our appetizer was the calamari. The sauces that came with it were wonderful. The free bread was not the best this time as it usually is. It was hardened, and room temperature. It's usually warmed and soft. Our service was pleasant per usual.

“With a tomato allergy, my options were limited. They had a standard brunch of breakfast items that was allergen free. It was the typical breakfast correctly cooked, but the fact that they had options for me gets them major bonus points. Wait staff was effective but nothing noteworthy. Atmosphere is a romantic, quiet restaurant. I won't say that they're upscale but "fancy" dress is appropriate here. It's still casual enough that jeans or shorts are ok. Be warned... There's typically a wait here. The day I went they were not taking reservations.

Dietary restrictions: They do not have a separate allergy friendly kitchen. They do sell shellfish. Im allergic to tomatoes, so I got the brunch special of bacon and eggs, avoiding any logically possible risks of cross contamination.“

“Second time visiting here and had a great experience both times. First time I got the chicken sandwich for lunch, this time a burger and cheese grits for dinner. All the food I had both times was great but I HIGHLY recommend the goat cheese grits- SO GOOD and the leftovers went great with an egg for breakfast the next day. Will definitely return if I’m back in the area!

“Absolutely the finest in the area / staff is wonderful / owner is always on hand and is one of the finest in the area / I have eaten in the finest restaurants from Chicago to the west coast none can compare with the service and food !!! And has the best coffee anywhere / onion rings with every order if you want!!! Music is mostly oldies and at level so you can talk to your partner while enjoying the restaurant - I have been eating there for over 30 years - nothing has changed - he has a 7ft security guard that can make you feel very safe. You just have to try it if you have not, you would be missing a great and memorable outing“

“Got a chicken on a stick dinner and a catfish dinner with fries and hushpuppies. The chicken on a stick was a nice size and good. Catfish and hushpuppies were really good. The fries were the seasoned kind, which were also good. Food was cooked to order, so it was a 10-15 min wait.“
