Waiter John Henry? Was real good, professional, knowledgeable on menu products.
This location is the best out of the three in the area.
Food quality is superb. My wife says “ the best by far” we will surely return.
The key lime is a big helping and can be shared with 2-3 people. Good flavor.“

The staff here is very nice and everyone seemed very knowledgeable regarding the menu.

The food is good here I wasn't to impressed with the oystery's that I chose but everything else was fantastic!

“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

The food was delicious, and our waiter Jazz was so personable and attentive. The manager Dees spoke to us for a long time and welcomed us into the restaurant and Jackson area. Highly recommend. “I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for years. I don’t know what seasoning they use and they will not tell me but it is sooooo good! I have had their oyster Po boy, chicken wings, gizzards, livers and they were all delicious. I have moved to Madison, but I betcha I’m stopping today for my order of their house salad and gizzards! I hope they one day open up another restaurant off Countyline or Ridgeland, maybe I’ll suggest it today, what do you think??“

“Found it on the soul food buffet list last year for our women retreat group on our way back home to Columbus , Ms n it was great did not disappoint and the sweet tea tastes just like my godmother used to make it brought back memories setting on the carport drinking Mamma B sweet tea.And it would be gone before you know it and you want more n this year I'm glad to say I'm going back“

“Captain D's has fallen on bad times due to inflation I suppose. The food is still good but the size has gone down tremendously. The strips of fish are super thin and small. The service was good. The atmosphere is nice also. Prices are decent.“

“My son and I tried this place out tonight after riding around downtown, and we were PLEASED! The food was cooked fresh to order. The prices are AMAZING, and the young man behind the counter even agreed to take a picture with me! Lol.

It doesn't look like much parking up front, but there is additional parking in the back. The young man did suggest calling in to order your food so that your wait time is shortened, but our wait time still wasn't bad. We will be back!“
