“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

“Great option for gluten free! They gave me a gluten-free menu clearly showing which menu items were gluten-free. I opted for food cooked in a shared fryer (cornmeal crusted catfish!!! so delish), but they also had options with less cross contamination. Highly recommend!!“

“I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for years. I don’t know what seasoning they use and they will not tell me but it is sooooo good! I have had their oyster Po boy, chicken wings, gizzards, livers and they were all delicious. I have moved to Madison, but I betcha I’m stopping today for my order of their house salad and gizzards! I hope they one day open up another restaurant off Countyline or Ridgeland, maybe I’ll suggest it today, what do you think??“

If only they could enhance their customer service and make the wait feel a bit more bearable, I bet complaints would plummet. A little effort in these areas could transform the experience for everyone involved!“

“My son and I tried this place out tonight after riding around downtown, and we were PLEASED! The food was cooked fresh to order. The prices are AMAZING, and the young man behind the counter even agreed to take a picture with me! Lol.

It doesn't look like much parking up front, but there is additional parking in the back. The young man did suggest calling in to order your food so that your wait time is shortened, but our wait time still wasn't bad. We will be back!“
