“I’m glad I tried this little gem. Upon walking in, I was greeted in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Being that it was my first time here, the young lady was patient with me and my indecisiveness. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant with pepper jack cheese, and also a large white chocolate mocha. I ordered hot cocoa for my daughter and strawberry crepes. The star of my sandwich was the croissant—flaky and buttery. I didn’t really taste the white chocolate in my white chocolate mocha, but do appreciate that it wasn’t ladened with sugar. My daughter’s hot cocoa was at a perfect temp for her very young and sensitive palate. The server even asked beforehand if she wanted whipped cream on top, and of course I said yes. The crepes batter wasn’t your typical sweet one, which again, is a plus. The sliced fresh strawberries were plentiful and the chocolate drizzle and whipped cream were perfect complement. Overall, the strawberry crepe was faintly sweet, which is just the way I like it. However, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea since every other crepe I’ve ever had was much too sweet. We had other pastries to go and loved them all, including cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing. Again, it’s not your typical sickeningly sweet cinnamon roll. The sweetness is just right. However, I am not used to the dough not being doughy and stretchy. Our server came to check on us a few times and to talk to my daughter. She was super attentive and friendly!Lastly, on a wall, there is a world map and the US map littered with push pins of where patrons came from. It’s so neat to see how thousands of people from all over the world and country come to visit Vicksburg.“

“We stopped here on the way back from NOLA. It did not disappoint. This was food like my Granny used to make. The ladies working were very nice. I would definitely stop here again. Come for the food, stay for the conversation. This is a true southern comfort food gathering place.“

“While passing through Vicksburg on a Monday we stopped in to eat as this place boasted a 4.8 rating. It is a very quaint old home with just the front room as the seating area. Everything looked tidy.We were greeted when we entered the door and directed to a table for three people. It was quickly noted that although the two servers greeted us, neither one at any time was ever seen smiling. They were pleasant enough but no smiles. An order was placed for a chicken salad sandwich, a cup of the soup of the day, a gyro and a roast beef with aus jus along with drinks. We received our order in a timely manner. Again, no smiles. The server came to check on us again but without a smile. Our food was just okay. It was not bad. We all three agreed we would go back again as it was better than fast food. But it did not match the reviews of excellence in actual taste. We have definitely had great but not here and not today. After sharing each other's meals we determined that the gyro was the best tasting of all three items. But it was not spectacular. Now these little biscuits that were supposed to be so delicious were a real let down. One person in my party is a biscuit expert and they were unimpressed and didn't even take a second biscuit. Usually they are stealing all the biscuits on the table from us without sharing. But not here. I only took one bite and I was done. We will pass on the biscuits altogether next time.We each took a turn at the one stall bathroom and agreed that it looked like it needed a deeper cleaning. There was trash including toilet paper on the floor. Now when it came time to stand in line and pay at the register, that lady was smiling as she took everyone's payments. But, again, she was the only one who smiled the whole time we were there. Very strange indeed. So four stars is all I care to afford across the board. We will try again on another pass through Vicksburg. Maybe today was an off today.“

“I came for lunch and immediately was greeted and waited on. The vibe in this cafe is great! It’s very welcoming and the food is fresh cooked, hot and made to order. My mom got the chicken and dumplings, and my Dad got the vegetable plate. We all cleaned our plates!! I got the BLT on wheat bread toasted and it was so tasty. They are generous with the bacon. The lettuce and tomato was fresh. I absolutely recommend having breakfast or lunch here. This was my first time but definitely not my last. I’d absolutely drive here again to eat. It has that safe haven feeling that home has. It’s really nice.“

“Cafe Paradiso has become my top choice for quality Americanos and delightful caramel frappes. Their commitment to freshness is evident in every cup. Unlike its nearby competitor, Starbucks, which disappointingly ran out of frappe base at 5 pm, Cafe Paradiso consistently delivers on customer satisfaction. With an extensive range of flavor options for frappes, this local gem has earned its spot as my go-to coffee destination. Choosing Cafe Paradiso ensures you'll receive exactly what you desire, making it a decision you won't regret. Support local businesses and savor the difference!“
