“Last night we found ourselves at Phattys Steak & Seafood here in beautiful Billings Montana. Upon walking in the front door my nose was greeted with the most divine smells of butter, cheese and garlic setting the mood right for a wonderful dinner to come. After review of their diverse menu, we decided to start with some char-broiled oysters. Let me tell you, they have those figured out. A dash of hot sauce and a quick down the hatch, my taste buds exploded with sensations I have a hard time coming up with words for. I decided to stray from my normal meat and potatoes style dinner for my main course with a pasta dish. The Blackend Chicken and Andouille pasta caught my eye, and it did not disappoint. Exploding with classic Cajun flavors, it was everything it needed to be. My date decided to go with a classic Connecticut style Lobster Roll. The taste of warm lobster and butter with a perfectly grilled roll was sensational. It's not very often we get talked into a desert, but tonight seemed like a break from the ordinary. They had a Pineapple Creme Brulee and omg. The top was crispy, the custard was creamy and on the bottom boasted a surprise of a pineapple filling that totally set this creme brulee apart from all the others I have ever tried. Our service was top notch, the ambiance was classic steak house mixed with a modern upscale vibe. One thing I could not understand is why this place is not packed on a Saturday night!!! Don't be sleeping on this place friends!!! I 100% recommend this fine establishment and look forward to visiting it again!!!“

We love this place but the last few times we've been here the food seems to be extremely salty. I dont want to seem overly critical (as I like a salt shaker as well as anybody), but I found that I've had to leave my food. Please, please cut down on the salt. “last night I hosted a Bachelorette party at jakes downtown they were incredible from the hostess to the server and the kitchen and the bartender. the food was amazing our waiter was attentive, we had some last minute additions to our group and the hostesses went to work to accommodate everyone. thank you for making the bride's special night so memorable.“

From beginning to end, they thought of everything, we had quite a few children attending and they recommended hotdogs and mac & cheese for the kids which went over amazing. Our dinner consisted of smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, beans, and coleslaw, along with a fresh garden salad & rolls. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! We had quite a few more people show up that didn’t RSVP and still had some leftovers that got ate late night after the party ended! Set up was beautiful & well presented.. “We love this place! We have breakfast there every time we are in Billings. My husband is a member of the coffee club and gets a discount on coffee. They give a discount to veterans. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. My favorites are the quick break breakfast and the senior Spanish omelet. It's a comfortable and friendly restaurant. I highly recommend this place.“

“This was some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! We had the pot stickers which were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. We also had the sesame, general taos, and orange chicken with chow mein combo. All fantastic! “I truly appreciate this restaurant. Love having them back. They have a great rewards proposal and also support Veterans on Wednesdays with a discount. I enjoy going for lunch or dinner and spending the extra $6 on a to go plate. That’s a very affordable lunch the next day and the leftovers taste just as great at home. (If they don’t taste great you didn’t mix the right sauce! Haha) Also love being able to load up on protein and veggies when cutting those carbs! “As someone from Billings, I just want to say it’s really nice to see Café Rio getting its groove back. The new management and staff are clearly putting in the effort, and it shows in the service, the atmosphere, and the food. There will be the occasional random food item in my tacos or burrito that I didn’t ask for but it’s just due to it being a fast food restaurant style. The bathrooms are clean again and just starting to look more taking care of by the new Manager and Staff!

Trevor and Claudia were both amazing — friendly, welcoming, and on top of everything even while it was busy. It’s not easy working in a restaurant, and the team here deserves a lot of credit for the hard work they’re putting in. Recommendating their favorites and the burrito was enough to get me full and I’m 6’4 and 260 pounds. Was considering seconds lmao! Removing my 1 Star from years ago and replacing it with this now because it seems like a lot has changed, for the better!
