“This place in my opinion is the best of Brevard. The service is impeccable , the French inspired food is served in large portions, at a nominal cost. The chef is French, so that explains why the food is so good, do not pass up the opportunity to eat here, make reservations.”

“We had the most amazing experience at The Square Root!!!! We walked up and were literally greeted with “your dogs are so cute we all hoped you were coming here” we sat outside and the patio dining is just gorgeous and cozy! The service is impeccable and the food I cannot even say enough about the London broil sandwich and chicken Marsala! Holy moly we were blown away! Also, just a huge heartfelt thank you to the staff for taking such good care of us as a storm came up and we were “stuck” outside because we had dogs with us but they asked us to please come inside and let us stand by the bar for safety sake. Jacob the manager was just so kind and Chris our server was so on point and cool!!! We cannot recommend The Square Root enough - just go - the food is better than the hype! Thanks again!!! We will be back as soon as we can!”

“When it comes to goodness...where do I begin!!! ALL of the wonderful personalities that make up the Blue Ridge Bakery are delightful! Each one made me feel at home and welcomed! The Zucchini Cornbread is to die for!!! and each kind of Quiche holds a special place in my heart and stomach. The pastries are crafted with love and are more than delectable! I attempted to sample a different one each day and then switched each day between my favorites-The Cappucino-Chocolate Muffin- The heavenely Cinnamon Roll and The various Danishes--AND the SWEET POTATO CHILI Oy Vey!!!!- They even had Challah which made my Friday and Saturdays... The 94 days that I have been in Brevard have been made even sweeter because of you-The Blue Ridge Bakery!!!! A person could go there EVERY DAY and find awesomeness.. “I was prepared to write a '5', but in truth there were a number of small things that kept me from going there. First, it's a cool space off the beaten track. The beer is good, the mural is superb. The house food truck was passable. I was expecting a little higher standard on the sandwiches, but I may be a bit picky.
And the fryer was down. No fault there - they've got a new one on the way.
My biggest critique was the number of aggressive dogs there. I take my dog to a fair number of taprooms around the country, and honestly - many of these (6+) would've been 86'd by staff at most taprooms. My dog loves to interact, and would not have understood the aggressiveness.”

“Started off with Chips y Salsa, very good! Then we moved on to Tacos de Pescado o Camaron & Carne Asada Tacos with rice & napales. Wow, all of it fantastic along with great service! We are definitely going back even if it's not Taco Tuesday!”

“We come up to Brevard most every summer to attend concerts at the Brevard Music Center, and stop by Cup & Saucer at least once during that time. The coffee is great - love an Americano! - and the baked goods and quiches are as well. I’m seriously craving one of their fantastic fig and almond biscotti today. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Jenny is a dear as well as all her colleagues whose names I don’t know. If this was a “number of stars” review I’d give them 10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“If you are looking for THE BEST pastries look no further. We visit every time we are in town and it gets better and better ( not sure how that is possible). Their chocolate croissants 🥐 are my go to but we have discovered their blueberry cheese danish. OH MY! Delicious! Please try them for yourself and see why they are 5 ⭐️ stars!”

“Visited mid week for late lunch/early dinner. Great service, very friendly waitress. Prompt ordering, short wait for food. Excellent wings and the pizza was amazing! Ate a little at the restaurant and took a large portion home to eat on that evening. Highly recommend, although parking in downtown Brevard can be a challenge.”

“What an unforgettable find! We stopped here for a quick lunch after a morning in Pisgah Forest and it was everything we wanted and more. We shared a super fresh salad and a delicious special - eggplant parm pizza. Perfect amount for two hungry people. We had delicious specialty coffee and grabbed a couple of bakery items from the front display case for snacks and breakfast tomorrow. 10/10 would visit again! Only note, the parking lot was full so we parked on a side street and walked over. Don’t let that stop you!”

“we had lovely windows seating tonight and our service was exceptional. Our food was made exactly as ordered. Since my husband and I could not decide between the steak or the snapper, we ordered an extra entree and got it all and shared the extra. The Snapper was absolutely delicious. I am so glad we did that as if we hadnt, we'd have missed out. Then the delicious berry pie to top it off. This is one date night that may never get beat as far as food quality, service, and hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We enjoyed it very much.”

“My family grew up camping in the blue ridge mountains for 18 years!!! Once we discovered it at the whistle stop country store, it became a family tradition to stop and pick up a few loaves of the blueberry lemon bread to take with us on picnics!!! I think we’ve tried nearly every flavor and there is NOT A SINGLE ONE I wouldn’t recommend!!! While typing this review, my husband asked “what ya doin” and I replied with “do you remember that blueberry lemon bread from when we went camping with my family” and he immediately replied “YES!”… it has been 4 years and he only tried it twice!! If that is not a true testament to how AMAZING this bread is, I don’t know what is!”

“This Starbucks is always clean and the workers are professional! I enjoy this location very much! They are always friendly and make great drinks! The baristas really know what they’re doing! It’s a very calm nice atmosphere as well! Friendly faces and great coffee! Their food here is amazing as well! Their Ham and Swiss is my favorite!

“A wonderful brewery with a tasting room bartender that is truly a genuine person and asset to the business. He was very friendly and attentive.

Beers are very limited but the quality was top notch. All of them. And…the business gets one thing correct that other small breweries don’t: they have a variety of beers in a case. 👏🏼😎. They are fully stocked on all beers to go to.

“Hands down the best mom and pop Chinese restaurant in town. The lo mein was fresh and the beef was tender. The pork fried rice, fried rice and egg rolls were spot on. Staff is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is typically perfect for a small establishment. More than worth a visit.”

“Had a wonderful dinner after the remarkable Brevard Elementary School Christmas program last Thursday Night at El Ranchero. It was later discovered the following afternoon that My Mother had lost her small turquoise colored change purse with her drivers license, a few credit cards and cash. As we were about to leave, she recalls having it in lap as she was leaving our server a tip. We have called the restaurant and no one turned it in. Just hoping someone would see this to do the right thing. Thursday December 15th between 7:45-8pm. Credit Cards are reported lost/stolen. Don’t be a Grinch this Christmas just do the right thing is all. Thank You!”

“We eat at Zaxby's once or maybe twice a month, usually use the drive through. We chose the 4 pcs chicken plate today. When we got home it looked like someone had tipped the containers on their end to put them in the bag, all of our slaw was all over our fries making some of them soggy”
