“The food and service were excellent. We had a 6:30 reservation and the server was kind enough to tell they were running out of Oyster and a main course dish which I thought was strange since the restaurant was just starting to get busy. We had four people, and all had appetizers and a main course. Three of us ordered their Lamb Chops that were severed almost the way we order them in terms of temperature. Three of us switches a vegetable that went with the Lamb main course. There was a $3.50 substitution charge for each. I ordered the Raw Oysters, which was $18, there were very fresh but only came with a small paper thimble of ketchup not a homemade sauce or fresh horseradish, and no oyster crackers. I asked for horseradish and some crackers, and they charged us $1.50 for extra crackers. Our bill before server tip was $300. You would think they would not nickel and dime us for changing a vegetable or crackers. Not a good policy. By the way this is a very small restaurant that is very noisy.”

Claudio who is from Rome made the experience even better as he prepared our order and explained about the special dough which is the perfect base for the gourmet toppings! “The virgin Mojito they made me tonight was the best one I’ve had at bar yet! The fresh mint and garnishes were fun too. It’s hard to make a mojito taste like a mojito without the alcohol and y’all nailed it! Perfection! This is the perfect time of year for the outdoor bands the way it has the covered dance floor such a fun night. I love how you guys redid it. It’s elevated for sure! Fun!”

“Mr. A’s Beignets: A Powdered Sugar Revelation Mr. A’s beignets are so good, I had to sit down and reevaluate some life choices. Light, fluffy, perfectly fried, and drowning in powdered sugar—just like the ones in New Orleans… but honestly? Better. Yeah, I said it. One bite and I was spiritually transported to the French Quarter—minus the street smells and saxophones. These beignets are dangerously good. Like, “accidentally eat the whole box before pulling out of the parking lot” good. They’re golden perfection with a powdered sugar blizzard on top. Soft in the middle, crisp on the edges, and clearly made with love (and possibly sorcery). Highly recommend. Bring napkins. And self-control.”

“I went to Papa MURPHY’S on Saturday and ordered a pepperoni, sausage onion,green pepper and tomatoes pizza on thin crust. The guy working was super nice and explained everything since I hadn’t been back in years. I cooked it on the middle rack instead of the bottom like he mentioned, with the oven safe paper. It was delicious and will plan to be back again.”

“Whoever was working at the Apex location today btwn 3-4 did an AMAZING job. The line was out the door the entire time with screaming middle school pre-teens and he was calm, quick and efficient. He was alone behind the counter taking/making orders, ringing everyone up, everything by himself until around 4 (the gentleman who came in also was doing a great job but we left shortly after 4). Stellar service under pressure, very impressive! Please make sure they know they are appreciated!”

“I went in yesterday because my dog was next door getting surgery. Let me tell you… absolutely amazing. I don’t live in the area and needed to remote work while I was waiting on my dog. The girl behind the counter was so nice and welcoming. I got one of the coffees that was on special, 12/10. So good. Usually specialty coffees give me heartburn. This did not. I also got a muffin that was delicious too! I will have to come back when I’m in the area!”

The Tots with queso was amazing as well. If you’re in the area I strongly suggest trying this place out.”

“Went for the first time on Saturday March 6. I got a beef taco and my kids got the same. I also ordered a side of rice. The food took about 8 minutes to make. We opened up our taco and it looked delicious. There was a little lime in all our taco meals. The taste was amazing! The tortilla was authentic and delicious as well! Overall, the staff are incredibly nice, the place is clean and the food was just meh. Believe it or not, the soup was the clear winner. Giant wontons in the soup, broth was great too. Had both egg drop and wonton soups. 5/5.

As someone that comes from the Northeast, it’s wild to me that every take out Chinese restaurant in Raleigh does bright yellow fried rice as if I was eating Cuban food… pork fried rice was 2/5.

The Sesame Chicken was all white meat. Great portion. Sauce was a bit tangy, but not bad. 4/5.

Overall, not bad by any means. If you need some Chinese take out, it’s one of the better options in town.”

The customer was essentially asking for double portions of everything without wanting to pay for it, claiming the bowl should be enough to feed two people. Anam handled the situation with professionalism and respect, despite the customer’s rude tone and demeanor.

In my experience, the portions at Mezeh are always generous — some people just expect double servings without paying for them. Like every business nowadays, Mezeh has to be cost-conscious, especially with rising food and ingredient prices. In my opinion, Mezeh consistently delivers fresh, high-quality meals that are both filling and flavorful. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the value is excellent. I’d truly hate to see this location close — they’re doing a fantastic job.”
