“By far the BEST dining experience we had in Asheville. The food is so spectacular that I bought their cookbook just to remember how good it tasted. You MUST sit at the bar! We spoke with so many people, local and repeat visitors. Friendly, fun vibe. Highly recommended!!!!“

“What an adorable hidden gem tucked off the street. Outdoor setting is dog friendly. Pups even got a treat. Owner is delightful. I had homemade vegetable beef soup and some mixed greens with a vinaigrette. My husband had a tuna melt sandwich. Highly recommend“

“This place makes an excellent martini (with blue cheese olives). It's a cool environment, somewhat crowded, but the busy-ness adds to the appeal. I think they shine more in cocktails than in food. The burger is made with American cheese, to its detriment. Burrata was good, and the table tried some small Spanish-style fish. We had another OK pasta dish as well. Less likely to return for a meal but happy to come for drinks + apps.“
“Such a fan of Botanist and Barrel’s ciders and wines. I love that they are all natural and contain no weird additives. Extra brownie points since their organic ingredients are sourced locally from their farm or other local sources! Love the tasting rooms ambiance and chill vibes. Highly recommend!!“

“A few of us were in town for business and we stopped in prior to dinner for wine and beer… They have a very nice venue here, great décor and decent list of wines and beer. Service was really friendly and prices are decent. We enjoyed a few items and then moved on, but we enjoyed the stay while we sat & sipped! They also offer small bites here. Would stop in when in the area!“

“Grabbed a quick bite here while in the area today, and were pleasantly surprised! Had the brussel sprout appetizer, Swannonoa cheesesteak and my wife had the catfish and chips. Excellent flavor in everything and good portions. Will visit again if in the area! Highly recommend!“

“We had a great breakfast this past weekend. The Lowland Breakfast Bowl is must try. Our server/bartender was so attentive and nice. We will definitely go back the next time we visit AVL. Only advice to management, if you are going to have your front desk staff in the same room as the restaurant you should cross train them to help the restaurant front of house. For most of our breakfast, there was two of them doing very little as they watched the server have to work her tail off to take care of dining customers. If the front desk would just bus tables, pour waters and say goodbye when we left it would have made more sense. I was embarrassed for them on how useless they looked just sitting there.“
“We had such a great time! We were in town to see Biltmore and hike the Pisgah Forest and were looking for some live music. We started at the guitar bar at the other end of the building, but it was way too crowded and not what we were looking for. We heard the music from this place and wandered in. The band Binz was amazing and so much fun, the place is fun and funky and cozy with lots of art on the walls, and everybody was really friendly. And a guy came in with three big dogs that went around and said hi to everybody! The only thing is, we almost missed it because it was not on any of my Google searches!“
“A stop at Walls Wine Bar while in downtown Asheville is a must! You can enjoy a taste, a glass or a bottle of some exceptional international wines. Walk through the gallery to take in the amazing photography of Benjamin Walls on safari or step outside and relax in the open air patio while people watching. While you are there, learn about once in a lifetime travel opportunities; the stuff dreams are made of!“

“The Golden Pineapple has quickly become one of our favorite establishments in Asheville. The bartenders are always friendly and welcoming. The playlist is always awesome. There are many alcoholic and non alcoholic drink options. You will find all kinds of unique cocktails at The Golden Pineapple. My personal favorites are the frozen drinks: The Baja Blast and The Guava Colada, but they have literally every kind of alcohol you could imagine and the bartenders truly enjoy their craft. We also LOVE The Bodega Sandwiches (add hashbrowns). I am from NJ and always on the hunt for a delicious pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich and The Golden Pineapple consistently understands that assignment. It’s our go to dinner spot on weekends and we truly always look forward to it.“

“Awesome little corner bar facing the Woolworth building downtown. Great to watch the various Asheville citizenry from an open air window overlooking the street. Very small establishment but nice and chill. Beautiful bar and wooden bar tables. Best thing is the beer selection is spot on. I was planning to do an afternoon pub crawl but I mostly hung out here to drink. They also do some really great smelling coffee too for any friend of bill w out there still into the casual bar scene!“

“We stopped in here to have a glass of wine before dinner because it was right next to our hotel. We ended up staying much longer because we were having such a great time! The atmosphere is top notch and so is the entire establishment. They have a fantastic selection of wines, great decor, and a great patio. We also got the opportunity to speak to the owners, and they were genuinely kind and great people! Bottle Riot is also dog friendly which is always a plus. Any time we’re back in Asheville we will make a point to stop here again to support a great local business!“

“I am a foodie/food-snob. I admit it. I am so often disappointed by my restaurant experiences. Last night, my partner and i had one of the best meals in Asheville we can remember. Bold, sensual, well-balanced dishes (somewhere in the neighborhood Charleston's Xiao Bar Biscuit). Off the hook (if a little pricey) wine list.“
“Do not pass this place by- the prices are great, the staff are friendly and the location is KILLER. This is a great place to stop in, have some quality beverages and some apps before dinner for a fair price in Asheville. We stopped in one night waiting for a table at a local restaurant and spent a lot of time having drinks and couldn't be happier. The store connected to this place is winehaus. Great place for a happy hour in Ash.“

“Went here for dinner and drinks. I’m a vegan and there wasn’t a vegan option. The chef went above and beyond and came out to talk to me and prepare me a vegan dish and also informed there will be more options in the future. The meal was FANTASTIC and the chef was unbelievable kind for taking those extra steps to make sure I had a yummy meal! My sister and mother had the gnocchi and said that was fantastic as well! Plus, beautiful view from patio. Will be going back!“

“Very nice little coffee shop. The location is great and has a decent amount of free parking around and near the building. The inside has lots of seating and is nicely decorated in a minimal style, and the space has lots of natural lighting. The works are friendly and the offerings at the coffee shop are good. I got a rose latte and a cinnamon oat cookie. The latte was 6-7$ after tip and the cookie was 5$.The music they play isn’t too loud and the general ambiance is nice. One of the best coffee shops in Asheville in my opinion :)Kid-friendliness: Has a corner of toys for child entertainment.“

“I had an incredible dinner with my husband for my birthday on Friday night. We don’t often rave about a restaurant and BOTH of us absolutely loved everything about Proper. Service, food, decor, speed, lighting....5 stars keep it up!! By the way we ate early and will do this again.“

“Good food with a good amount of spice. The reviews here were mixed so I was a little nervous to try it but it was close to the hotel and I didn't want to drive anywhere else. Definitely worth the visit! Our server was attentive. The dumplings were average but the green curry was excellent!“

“The restaurant was nice & clean. The food was delicious ? the staff very lovely and if I wish had service that good Everytime I go out. I'm only leaving 4 stars because of them being a bit steep with prices. Not all menu item prices are bad.. but 13 for 3 scallions and a pinch of arugula is outlandish. But the food was flavorful and the staff was exquisiteness WONDERFUL.“
