“Can't say enough about how wonderful Full Moon Oyster Bar is! Even after us getting there early and seated quickly they still sold out of our usual favorite starters (lobster deviled eggs and crab stuffed mushrooms) but the bacon wrapped scallops and seared tuna did not disappoint. Jake mastered my extra dirty martini to Brittany Spears and beyond Courtney Love levels while server Josh (with a Cabernet Sauvignon wine namesake) cheerfully and attentively took our orders. A member of our party even successfully completed the 6 Oyster Challenge earning a shirt. The drinks were on point, the beer was cold, the food was excellent and the staff was engaging and amazing. I'm hesitant to leave such an excellent review knowing my faves might continue to sell out for my next visit, but this experience is too good to keep secret! Thank you for a very fun experience! “This place is not the kind of place you will want to sit & eat but if you order correctly then it's a very satisfying experience.
We ordered the Mongolia Beef, Vegetable Fried Rice & Steamed Dumplings.

“This is an addition to a previous review from a year or so ago. I now live in the area, and have found that the service and food is just as good as when I was in AB as a visitor. It is winter-time yet the food is still top notch and the service outstanding. My mother loves the Three-C chowder which is chunky, creamy, and chock full of seafood (I had to get in my 3-Cs!). The shrimp dinner has an ample portion of shrimp and the sides are a nice addition. Burgers are cooked as you ask, and tater tots make it an awesome meal. The wait staff in here are incredibly friendly, efficient, and personable. I still highly recommend On the Rocks as the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the service is impecable. These ladies are awesome! For a great place to eat during the winter as well as the busy season, I will continue to go to On the Rocks.“

“Some items are great, others aren't. I think they have really good smoked wings, tacos, and the fig prosciutto toast.
I was suggested by whoever sat us to get the devilled eggs. I have a feeling she was from up North because those were not any devilled eggs anyone I know would be making around here. Not because of the pickled onion or the bacon but the fact that the yolk mixture itself had zero flavor. I don't think they put anything in them but mayonnaise, I didn't even taste salt. I don't recommend those. Their house made PLM sauce is really good. The only thing I could label in it was mustard. I like the atmosphere.“

“Picked up some cupcakes and a cookie from Happy Cakes in Morehead, NC, and they nailed it. The cupcakes were soft, flavorful, and topped with frosting that was smooth and perfectly sweet. The cookie was just as good, with that fresh-baked taste that’s hard to find anywhere else. Staff was friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. Everything tasted homemade in the best way. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone with a sweet tooth.“

“I've been dining at both restaurants for years and enjoyed myself ,the food , and the staff! The food and sides at Morehead have a better flavor, taste better ,and the portions are much bigger. I ve notice that recently on my last couple times that the sides are much better at both restaurants. The mash potatoes in Morehead are so delicious. I wish that was the same case at the emerald isle restaurant. The Cole slaw is the best that I have taste recently. I swear if the food was as good as the sides have been lately I wouldn't eat anywhere else. SNAPPPERZ KEEP IT UP!“

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday, food was great. Restaurant was clean, but as we waited for our food and looked out at your front patio, it was sad to see the dead potted hibiscus trees. They can't be outdoors below 50°... if you had brought them inside in that sunny area for the winter, they would be blooming like mine is right now. You need to make your outdoor area visually appealing, instead of looking like you don't care about the place.“

We just relaxed, and their attentive service and kindness really enhanced our experience. “We were super impressed with our first visit last night! Every single employee we interacted with- from the valet staff, to the host, the bartenders, and our server- were extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Drinks to start were ‘Crazy Legs’ for me (pictured) and an Old fashioned for my husband. For dinner we split the Caesar salad, I got the shrimp and grits, and my husband got the short ribs. And for dessert the bourbon bread pudding. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend. We will be back!“

“I took my son here for his birthday last September and we were not disappointed! We went early on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. Our waitress was amazing and because it was our first (but definitely not our last) visit, we asked her for recommendations. She recommended the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which was delicious. My son got the Hawaiian Special and it disappeared in record time. I definitely recommend the homemade blue cheese dressing if you like it ordinarily, because it puts the stuff in a bottle to shame. At the front of the restaurant (by the restrooms) are walls filled with photos and the history of the establishment, which I found fascinating. We marked the occasion by grabbing a couple of tee shirts on our way out.“
