“The young man working all alone tonight was amazing. I didn’t get his name, but dark hair and foreign accent. There were probably 20 people in line when we arrived. He served each of them efficiently and with a smile. When we were up to order, the owner decided to show up and take over. Fine, except that when he did, he started berating the young employee for “getting into this situation”. The only situation was the fact that he was left alone with a large volume of customers. We were really turned off by the owner’s behavior.“

“Our favorite coffee shop on Hatteras Island. Service is amazing and friendly. Coffee and baked goods delicious. Although the interior may not have the coziness of some coffee shops, the atmosphere is open with plenty of space to take in the local art or get a little work done (if you do that kinda thing in Avon).“

“ordered a milkshake. no price listed on board. the small shake (I'd say 16 or 20 oz.) was $9.00. the shake was very liquidy and had little to no flavor. It was more like slightly flavored milk. definetly not worth the money.“

“Came here 12-13 years ago during one of the first trips I ever took to OBX when I was a kid. Just came here for the week again and decided that I should go back to one of the best places I remember eating at when I came here originally. Even after the hurricane, this establishment was AWESOME. Even got to talk to the owner for a few minutes and tell him my story of coming here those years ago and they appreciated it beyond anything I would’ve thought! For a part of the OBX that not many people seem to travel to after this storm, this place was busy. Great people, great food, great environment. Making this a tradition from now on to hit this place up everytime I come. These people are great!“
