“An agreeable place for lunch. A small menu with a versatile variety. I enjoyed the flounder basket. This came with a fair sized fillet. I opted for the batter dipped over the breaded and fried. This was accompanied by some delicious crispy fries and a tasty portion of Cole slaw. A nicely prepared meal for lunch. Our waitress Angela was exuberant with a great sense of humor. Overall a good recommendation from the boys at the turtle conservatory. So a shout out and thank you to them also.

Dietary restrictions: Not the healthiest choice. Good for a cheat day.

“I feel the need to review this place since I had suspicions, but then they were false because it was actually good, and other websites like Yelp and TripAdvisor may not tell you to go there. Horizons is a great/good seafood restaurant located in the Bald Head Island Club. I love the golf carts, and good thing they had a parking space for them- which was meant to keep them from being too hot since it was covered by a roof. The elevator is very unique: you step in one one side, and you go out the other once you're there. Originally I thought it'd be like the sign on the front (that kind of restaurants judging from it), but it wasn't. It looked better than that. We sat outside with a party of 7, and our server was the myth, the (wo)man, the legend: Taylor. She was very nice and lightened the atmosphere for us. Whenever it was too sunny, she didn't mind the whole switching the entire seating of the table around kind of thing. She is very comical, too. Anyways, for appetizers, our table got the Crab Dip and a Pub Pretzel. I do not know what was in that crab dip (except crab), but HOLY SMOKES THAT WAS INCREDIBLE. It reminded me of some other dish, and I loved it. Pretzel was also good. For entrees, our table ordered 2 things of chicken tenders, buffalo wings, a caesar salad (maybe a different one), a Cape Fear burger, the shrimp or scallop risotto (i couldn't remember since I'm writing this the day after the meal), and the pan-seared Halibut. The food was good, but not amazing. For Bald Head standards, I'll give this a 5 star. For my regular standards, I'll give it a 4.
Also, I believe the seagulls raided some table at the far back. Although that happened, it was pretty funny to me.“

“We have been coming here since it opened. It is casual and convenient. Not bad, not great. The food was much better before the chef and menu changed. The Balsamic Chicken was classic and one of the best dishes on the menu, but they don't even bring it back as a special. Burgers are pretty good. Not great for Gluten Free, but they do offer a GF bun. Beacon shrimp is excellent. The outside seating is 5 star. Music on Sundays is great. Unfortunately they only have music for a few months of the year. I think the new manager is quite good, and we need to give him a chance to work issues. The service is ok, or at least adequate, but it can be slow. A small ding from a recent trip: The hostess sat a couple ahead of us even after we pointed out we were next and that table should be ours. She told us not to worry because another table would be ready soon. She wasn't mean or anything, she was simply unaware that was an unacceptable response.“

“the best freshest widest varieties of cheese's. and much more. i love getting my feta cheese stuffed olives and hot sauce here. they have a wide variety of cute little cocktail pickles too. they have fresh bagels too and Sandwiches. Everything we had was so good .I love cheese and they have the best Manchego and smoked Gouda. the staff is so sweet and friendly and helpful. the owner is the best as well.We were here a few times and one time we were here and they were about to close and they kept it open for us. very wonderful customer service. i would recommend 100“
