“This place is really small, but the food is sooooo good! It's real Mexican food, and have been good for years now. I have never had a bad experience and continue to get good food and service. I usually take my food out instead of eating since it's so small and tight in there. Parking is a pain because it's a shared parking lot with the other businesses and a gas station surrounding it, but if they there when they open you can deal with it lol.“

“Agave has recently become our most favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. The first taste of the house Salsa and we were already starting to be hooked. Then the food came and blew us away. Everything we've had there has been exceptionally good. It doesn't just end there though. The staff is the sweetest and most personable staff of any restaurant I've been to in a long time. They make you feel at home and like family, and we are already starting an amazing friendship with them! If you were ever on the fence about checking this place out, let this review be a sign that it's time to go!!! You won't be disappointed!!!“

“We love this place. Girls' night out. I had the shrimp quesadilla. It was fantastic. She had the California burrito. She loved it. The guacamole wasn't good, we dont recommend it, it's very watery. But the rest of the food was great.“

“Picture yourself not in a parking lot because the food will bring you to the beaches of Mexico. The food was authentic, not your usual crema sauce. Fresh, hot, tasty, and friendly. Totally recommend if you are in the area. Maybe some Musica for a little atmosphere.“

“I am looking at previous bad reviews and I do not know what they are talking about. I place my order and they are SUPER nice over the phone. She greets me with a smile on her face and never had a bad experience. The tacos are so good. By far the best tacos and HOT sauce I’ve had. This is my go to spot.“

“Stopped in for dinner last night, and since it’s in a little strip mall, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much. But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Gigantic art on the walls, high-back wooden chairs carved out of wood, it was a totally different vibe than I anticipated, and in a good way. It was Friday night around 8:00, and the place was packed. Despite that, we got a table almost immediately.
Now, I didn’t care for the salsa. It was a bit too oniony and runny for my taste, but honestly, that’s the only downside. The Birria tacos were phenomenal. The portion of meat was huge, and for around $19, it was an exceptional value. The guys I was with all ordered different things, and they were just as impressed as I was. The service? Absolutely stellar. No complaints there.
So yeah, other than the salsa not being the best I’ve ever had, it’s a minor issue compared to how good everything else was. I’ll definitely be going back.“

“This is an excellent spot for authentic Mexican food and flavor. The tortillas are freshly made and delicious. The salsa verde and salsa roja are also fresh and the barbacoa is incredible. I love the spice level and flavor combination of the food here. It’s deli style so you order by the pound and take it to-go. Love this place!“

“The waitress, whose name I didn't catch, was fantastic! My family wanted to practice ordering in Spanish and she waited patiently for them to do so. She even assisted with pronunciation when some words were incorrect. I really appreciated that she took this approach rather than being annoyed with the kids for trying. The food was good; our main entrees were hot off the grill but, the sides were lukewarm. We didn't complain though. Seemed trivial. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.“

“A very small place with delicious food, the owner is always attentive, especially when there is a long wait. If you want to eat here on Sunday, take advantage and go early. It opens at 9 am because after 12 it gets full and you have to wait for a table.
I love lamb barbacoa tacos, pozole and in general everything smells and looks delicious.🤤“

“I'd choose Qdoba over Chipotle or Moe's anyday. My favorite things to get are the chicken bowl and the chicken quesadilla. However, sometimes the rice and chicken lack the seasoning it's used to. Other than that, it's really good.“

“Visiting from Hilton Head, SC and we have our fair share of taco trucks but this place, wow! The food was prepped quickly and precise to how we ordered! Even with a line we had our food in less than 10 minutes. The staff is friendly. I am an avid taco truck visitor and this is top 10! Definitely coming back when I visit Charlotte again. “On our way to the overlook my husband and I noticed this restaurant. When we got there we were the only customers but over the course of our meal more and more people came in. I can see why, their food is amazing. The food looks better and bigger than the pictures off the menu. The service we got was very friendly and the place was very clean. We will be returning for sure. ☺️“
