“The food here is really good. It seems more authentic than most places. The portions are very generous, they cook really good, and the service is very friendly.“

“Mamacitas have some of the best tacos around town for sure. Great customer service and I always feel welcomed when I come visit them. I always post pictures of my foot on my social media and I always get asked where I got it from. 10/10 staff, food and atmosphere. My only place that I get tacos from!“

“Stopped in for dinner last night, and since it’s in a little strip mall, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much. But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Gigantic art on the walls, high-back wooden chairs carved out of wood, it was a totally different vibe than I anticipated, and in a good way. It was Friday night around 8:00, and the place was packed. Despite that, we got a table almost immediately.
Now, I didn’t care for the salsa. It was a bit too oniony and runny for my taste, but honestly, that’s the only downside. The Birria tacos were phenomenal. The portion of meat was huge, and for around $19, it was an exceptional value. The guys I was with all ordered different things, and they were just as impressed as I was. The service? Absolutely stellar. No complaints there.
So yeah, other than the salsa not being the best I’ve ever had, it’s a minor issue compared to how good everything else was. I’ll definitely be going back.“

“Great for lunch. The burrito I ordered was huge! Texas burrito. Mango margarita was also great on the rocks. I would go back!“

“Been going to Los Arcos since its original incarnation when it was a fairly small venue in a strip mall in nearby Aker’s Center back in the early 90s. The food quality has remained identical all of these decades, which is to say it’s great. It’s the only Mexican restaurant I’ve ever encountered that has a lunch buffet, and a large one at that. I hate for them that, for various reasons, they’re down to just two locations - this one in front of Eastridge Mall, and the other in the old Hardee’s on 321 at 85 - but I will always go there as often as possible to support them, hopefully for many decades to come.“

“The absolute best tacos I've ever ate!! The pico is so delicious! This spot has now became my go to spot for chicken tacos. Can't beat the price for how much food you get either. Oh and the employees have always been super nice and goes the extra mile for me. I'll forever eat tacos from here.“

“Always love walking into here and getting the best Mexican food in Gaston County. Service is always 9/10 or better here, and the food has never come out to the table wrong for me. Be honest with yourself. You want the Pollo Loco. Just get it. If you don't think you'll love it, trust me, you will, it's great!!“

“Great food, local, love the regional Mexican food. El Pirul is a region in Mexico. Everywhere you go the food will be different based on regions, with the exception of just crowd-pleaser “Mexican” restaurants people tend to unduely 5-star. It is a humble hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves food at pretty reasonable prices considering the locale. Where less english is spoken & a regional authentic menu is, there I am. Food. A universal language where you dont have to speak the same dialect to understand each other’s needs. Good food, reasonable prices, 5 stars. Try an agua fresca called Jamaica (pronounced “ha-mai-ka,” not Jamaica the country). Lovely addition to fatty foods/tacos.“

“The buffet was good, but wish there would've been more to offer. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. It was a little warm in the restaurant but she explained they were having AC issues. The price at lunch was 15.99 and included the drink, like I said, I feel there should've been more options for the pricing, but overall experience was good!“

“On 6/6/24 the two gentlemen working the counter and register at around 1pm deserve all the praise from corporate and their manager. The store was busy with lunch and online orders and these two men kept their composure while customers began being butts to them. I appreciate their kindness and their responsibility to the quality of food that was coming out at that time. I ordered a small bowl and the ingredients were fresh as well and well portioned. This location is a clean and friendly location that I will frequent again.“
