“Melt is probably the top ice cream spot in Myrtle Beach. They have both house made and other flavors, both of which are very good. The line can be quite long at time but the staff is very good and moves things along quickly! The outdoor seating area can be small for the crowd and overflows into a parking lot which isn't really ideal for kids.“
“This hidden gem is one of the best ice cream places I have ever been to. Loved the ice cream and the pricing can’t be beat. We go here every year when we go on vacation. I will continue to bring my family here every time we come to Sunset Beach for vacation.“
“When I went it was out of season, however that didnt change a thing in my eyes. Only one lady there when we went and she was very kind. A little slow but I mean what can I expect from an out of season shop with one employee working. The slushies are the only things I've had from here and by God they are the greatest treat you can buy in Ocean Isle area. Super tasty treat :] would recommend to anyone.“
“I can't visit Sunset Beach without stopping at Sunset Slush! My husband jokes that I need to branch out more because my go-to is the Rainbow USA Gelati. The other flavors are also tasty, but that's my hands down favorite flavor that I always go back to. The shop can get busy in summer, but is on my list of "must visit" places whenever I am in town! Plus they have an inside section with candy! My tip for other visitors is to get the reusable koozie cup. It keeps it cold longer (melts so much quicker when you use the disposable cup) and refills are a bit cheaper! Plus the inner cup can go in the dishwasher! It's worth it.“
“We went on Saturday March 9th soon after they opened and although there was not a line we must have just missed the crowd placing an order. There were only 2 people working but they were killing it, doing a great job and everything they pushed out while I waited looked great! We ordered the Sweet Cheesus and the Lil Less Crazy Mint Brownie they were both GREAT! Service was great, food was great I just wish we would have sat in a different area other then that this was a great experience!“
“Stopped by Rita's for the second time yesterday. I love Rita's! Every italian ice has so much delicious flavor, but anything cherry flavored is my favorite. I got Zombie's Blood and loved it. Beware of red teeth and tongue after eating it, lol!! I am so excited that this one opened in North Myrtle Beach. I live in Conway, but will definitely stop in for an italian ice every time I am in that area.“
“Update: this review was originally written a couple years ago and since writing, many things have changed. They now do offer allergy free ice cream and no longer have the deer park water. The owner also reached out personally to me and said that she works every day to ensure they don't have the bad customer service. Based on her personal reply, I have no reason to doubt this. We went in here this evening and we have two with a milk allergy. Most places like this would have at least one flavor of dairy free ice cream. Or even a smoothie at best. No! Instead they had 2 snotty women who looked at us like we were crazy to ask of such a thing! One of the people with the milk allergy is not only allergic to milk but also is only 6 with developmental delays (is just learning to talk and can't eat any solids) so doesn't fully understand why everyone else is able to have a treat right in front of him and he doesn't get anything. When I went back in to ask about maybe a smoothie, they were snotty again with their snapping "no" back to me. The least they could've done is acted like they cared and said "no, sorry" rather than being snotty. I decided later on that I wanted something to be able to wash the mediocre-at-best-ice cream down, so went back in for a water. They charge $1.08 for some cheep deer park water. They can't even get the good Dasani or Aquafina. And on top of that, they are charging so much for the water! Reply to owner: This is most definitely the correct location. We went in July and I had written this but forgot to hit post until now“
“I ordered a custom cake for my daughters birthday. I sent the decorator, Kris, a picture of what I was looking for and when I picked it up, it was exactly what I wanted. Great pricing too.. I highly recommend using them for your next party ?“
“This is hands down my favorite ice cream (well technically custard) joint. The custard is creamy and has great flavor and they have a good number of options on how to serve it: cups, cones, mix-ins, etc. They'll be seeing a lot of me in the future :-)“
“This is by far the best Italian ice/ices that I have ever had and I have been all over. It's better than Rita's and Ralph's combined. Their flavors were creative, delicious and refreshing. I highly recommend their flavor blue vanilla. Definitely going to be a regular customer in future ??????????“
“Hot chocolate with caramel and French vanilla was excellent! Strawberry bomb smoothie (Smoothie with boba) was delicious. Service was very friendly and accommodating regarding drinks. Prices are reasonable. Great place to visit while at Sunset Beach!“
“They are wonderful about accommodating allergies. My son has peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergies, and they have a chart readily available listing what items contain what allergens so he could choose something nut-free. They were so patient with him and opened up a fresh container of ice cream and a new pack of cones to ensure there was no cross-contamination. I can’t tell you how much this means to me as a parent with a child who has allergies and is constantly left out of things like cake and ice cream. Thank you so much for taking the time to accommodate him! I appreciate it SO much!“
“Decided to stop and get some donuts because we absolutely love Duck Donuts! Store is very clean and organized. Ordered at the kiosk and waited. Was able to watch our order being made and the workers were so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend Duck Donuts at North Myrtle!“
“Service was super duper fast and our order was brought outside to us personally. We didn’t have to wait for our name or a number to be called. Some of the food was a bit pricier than I had expected but what’s not pricey in 2023 especially in a highly populated area as Myrtle Beach. The pretzel I wasn’t a fan of but the funnel cake and banana split were amazeballs. The main reason this review is getting 4 stars is because the flies were absolutely horrendous at the outside sitting area where the tables are located. They were swarming us so badly that we had to take our ice cream and food inside to our condo across the street.“
“Always great ice cream here, although the staff could use a little customer service training. Granted they are really summer hires and how much investment do you put into that, nonetheless you're interacting with people all afternoon and evening and they just need to soften their edge a little bit and tone down the obstinance and turn up the smile and gracious host in them. This is not any one off either, it is a consistent pattern I've noticed over 8 years. Nothing bad or egregious, but just an edge and a little bit of a bite the staff needs to rid themselves of. The ice cream is excellent and speed of service very good also.“
“It's an oceanside pizza parlor and arcade, so it doesn't have great "atmosphere", but if you take your food out the back thru the arcade, you can eat it outside about 50 yards from the ocean. Their pizzas have more toppings than any pizza parlor I've ever eaten at, especially The Breakers' Special pizza. They also sell hand scooped ice cream, and are generous with their scoops. The people that own it and run it don't smile a lot, but the service is almost always excellent, so don't let that get in the way of a good experience. Only real negative is the parking. There's only 2 spots in front of the building, so you usually have to park across the street, which is free. DON'T park in the lot next to the bldg, as that's emergency access for EMTs. Parking at the OIB Pier parking lot MAY be OK, but check the signage as before 6pm there's probably a charge to park there. I recommend WALKING to Breakers if you can, so you get great food and good exercise.Kid-friendliness: No one goes in here expecting a fine dining experience, so kids of all ages, and noise levels, will probably be fine here. They do have a high chair.“
“Complete and utter ripOff!Stay away!Update, the area manager contacted me and explained to me how I was supposed to be treated as a customer which was contrary to how I was treated on this particular day.She was very considerate and apologized for my unpleasant experience. She refunded my $ and offered me another opportunity to have a better experience. This time I will know what to expect and what I am buying with my hard earned $.The product is good. That day the staff was not helpful in giving me any information on the brand and how it worked. This was my first visit to this brand.I look forward to another opportunity.“
“This place is so cool! So many candy varieties that take me back to when i was a kid, Brachs Rocks, rootbear candy, banana quarter machine candy...I got some icecream as lost one of my scoops to gravity pulling it to the surface of the earth's crust. The collision was disheartening but our icecream server quickly volunteered to give me a replacement scoop! The icecream was so good. Inhad one scoop of a coffee mocha chocolate , and another with banana and peanut butter moose tracks.“
“Nice ice cream shop with a good selection of flavors, including a few non dairy. Staff was very helpful in helping to choose an option that met food allergies. Gluten free cookie wasn't homemade, but it was still great to have as a choice.“
