“Why haven’t I been here before?! Omg! So good! I got the poke bowl (a delicious combination of tuna, cucumbers and tomatoes in sauce) and hubby got the fried chicken sandwich….I think it is our new favorite chicken sandwich in Asheville. The honey sauce the used! Yum! Coming back. Great outdoor dining and all the food is great!“

“After trying several Asheville BBQ places that were lackluster for us, we are so glad we came here. The atmosphere was simple, comfy, and laid back. There are several tables both covered and uncovered, charming lights, and heaters to keep you warm. The service was friendly, quick and well packaged. We ordered to go- 1 lb of pulled pork, 2 sauces (the Texas one and the vinegar based one), with pickles and buns. The pork was fantastic- tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the the sauces packed a delicious punch. Brioche buns added extra yum and the pickles were a great surprise- crunchy and flavorful dill. Very fair prices, also. We will be back.“

“Between the 3 dollar beer, the great prices on food, and the friendly staff, this place is definately worth the visit. There was a tour bus I'm pretty sure is solely touring the country for the best corn bread. Needless to say, they stopped here“

“Tiger Bay Cafe and Battle Cat Coffee Bar are located in the same building but SEPARATE businesses / counters inside. Be aware so you that you wait in the correct line. Once you get past that confusion and find the counter in the back, the menu is small but appetizing. Not many substitutions but that is fine. Wait was about 20 mins for two sandwiches, but my wife and I both found them tasty and worth the wait!Good meal and glad we stopped in.“

“For those who love tasting menus that are a little bit unconventional, this is the spot for you. My wife and I came here on a trip to Asheville in March and had the best meal. They had a fairly large drink menu - of course with a ton of beers because Asheville - but there were a lot of really fun cocktail options. Both seasonal and regular. One cocktail I got was the Tsukemono (Lunazul Blanco Tequila, gentian liqueur, lemon, house yuzu pickle brine + Scrappy's Firewater Tincture) and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We both went with the more expensive tasting menu and got WAYYY too much food. It was all delicious but some standouts were: -Sea bass on a stick (top 5 fish dish i've ever eaten, so meaty) -Pork and shitake mushroom gyoza -Tuna sashimi -Duck hot pot It was awesome and we would definitely go back next time we're in the area!“

“Great pulled pork and sides. I haven't had anything bad on the menu. BBQ pork is not fatty or greasy. Great tasting sauce.Very clean and organized establishment. Friendly staff. Little pricier choice for fast on the go foods but top quality product. I eat here every time I can.“

“Hit this joint on the way out of the airport, and was pleased. Got the pulled pork platter, okra, and mac and cheese, and the hush puppies were phenomenal. I really like what they've done with the sauces - good variety, not overly hot, and all good taste. Banana pudding was good, not great, but I do have a high standard when it comes to that...Would definitely come back.“

“Damn this place was amazing! Everything was delicious, sides, main meats, everything! The bacon wrapped meatballs were the star of the show along with the smoked turkey breast. Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and the live music wasn't too loud. Service was fast and there wasn't a line at the time. We went back on our last day in Asheville to get a dozen meatballs to-go!“

“We stopped here while on a Carolina Waterfall Tour. Even though it’s right on the side of the road the setting is lovely. The porch has about 10/12 rocking chairs and there are some picnic tables with umbrellas. The ice cream was good but they were out of two flavors. And enjoyable stop.“

“Fascinating place with great food. Eclectic atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating. We enjoyed the graffiti. Food was great. You will have to line up and place your order at the counter as you enter. It didn't take long and they brought our food out to our table. Plenty of beer options.“

“Luella's catered my wedding rehearsal dinner last month and knocked it out of the park. From the moment of inquiry Luella's team was communicative, supportive, very clear, and thorough. We planned our event with them from the other side of the country and they made it easy and relaxed the whole time. When it came to the day of the event, Luella's was punctual and ready for action! The food was unbelievably tasty! I really can't recommend these folks enough, they were great every step of the way. I will definitely be stopping in to dine with them again next time I am in Asheville! Thank you Luella's!“

“Been coming to Little Pigs over 40 years since I was Little. My favorite is the Broasted Chicken it's the best in Asheville. I also like the Potato Salad and the hush puppies. My family and I come several times a month. Oldest Restaurant in Asheville since 1963. And it's one of the best.“

“We found this little gem while coming back from a trip up in Tennessee. Wanted something different for lunch before a hike up the road. Wow. This place is so good. I can’t say enough about the food. So so good. Had the pulled beef. Man so flavorful. I got the beans and coleslaw. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich. Really great. Piled high and everything is made in house. They don’t have a microwave or a freezer. Nice. Great bbq sauces. The owner is super cool and knows his stuff. You have to check this place out. Plus he has bands play during the week. We are most definitely coming back.“
