“It was very clean, noticed their 95.5 rating ! Wowza!!🙌🏼 I had an 8” prosciutto and mushroom pizza and the small beet salad! Both were heavenly! My only recommendation is they get some Mike’s hot honey to drizzle on your pizza, I improvised with regular honey and red pepper flakes! Delicious y’all!”

“Absolutely the best restaurant in Cashiers. Best service and amazing farm to table cuisine. Great wine selection and cocktails. My favorite cocktail there is the dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Husband likes the chicken livers appetizer, which is a pretty large portion. I love the soups. Fresh bread and salads with entrees. The seafood pasta is delicious with a lemon blanc sauce. We have never had a bad meal at The Orchard. Make sure to request Joe for service and always make a reservation. As the restaurant is well known for its great food and service so it gets booked pretty quickly. Joe is a true gem. Love love this place.”

“I failed to take photos, but my party of 5 loved everything we had! I personally had one of their quiches. (Spinach, onions, tomatoes, bacon, feta, and cheddar cheeses.) The crust was so buttery and flaky…perfection! The waffles were also a favorite at our table.”

“Finally tried the Tavern tonight and am already thinking about my next visit! The menu was eclectic and had a fantastic selection. We started with the Foccacia and it was perfectly baked and seasoned and came with a miso butter and something like an olive tapenade. Big enough to share with our neighbors:) I had the green curry with lemongrass chicken and it was rich and packed with all the goodness a curry should have. The hubby had the steak sandwich and the steak was tender and the toppings just made it so tasty. Dessert- if there’s creme brûlée i have to have it. Tonight’s special was a salted caramel and it was perfection. If you go, try the smoky and the bandit cocktail. The presentation was crazy and the taste…well…I limited myself to one..I could have drank these all night. Lol. 10/10 recommend!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Lunch Experience at Prime in Highlands! Our lunch at Primary in Highlands, NC, was simply outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host and restaurant manager, which set the tone for a wonderful meal. We started with perfectly cooked Oysters Rockefeller, followed by a fresh and flavorful green salad. My husband had the chimichurri marinated chicken sandwich, which was the special of the day, while I opted for the 14-ounce New York strip. Although I couldn’t finish the entire steak, it was perfect for sharing, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made for a lovely midday meal. We topped off the experience with a delicious slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. If you’re looking for an exceptional lunch in downtown Highlands, I highly recommend Primary for its fantastic food, atmosphere, and top-notch service”

“we took eight of our friends from The over the hill hiking group to eat there on July 24. We ate on the back deck which was very pleasant and undercover. The brisket was great all the sides were great. Everybody was happy with their food. It was even better than I remember from my previous visit. Wright before close we even got to see a bear. Try to get into the dumpster, which was quite entertaining.. we will be back.”

“My husband and I stopped in on Friday night and sat at the bar, as we prefer to do. We were promptly served by Nick, and he was fantastic! We had a few small plates and they were all fantastic! We finished with the deconstructed bread pudding. Not something we normally eat, but it was ridiculously tasty!! If we were local we’d be there on a regular basis. It will definitely be a must the next time we are in town!”

“Great find off the main drag (downtown) in Highland's. The owners are lovely (married couple in their 80's) and had a sandwich shop back in the day in Highlands. We got the burger and gyro sandwich. Burger was juicy and the gyro meat was tender and plentiful. Worth a stop for sure.”

“Had a very enjoyable stay at the Highlander Mountain House. It is very well decorated and quite cozy. The bed was very comfortable with fresh linens. A place I will definitely return to in the future.”
