“I am surprised by the negative reviews. We started coming to Waterside when the construction of our house nearby began in late 2022. We have eaten lunch, dinner and gotten take out on many occasions. Shrimp tacos, hotdogs, and wings are our favorites, but everything is good and the service has been great. Were retired and really enjoyed the bands a couple of Mondays ago. Nothing fancy, which is fine with us. I’m sure they make some mistakes like the rest of us, but we really love our local bar and grill!“

“Got a real good breakfast here, and let me tell you the grits were in what I call a chili pot I'm talking eight quarts! It was on a double boiler so they didn't get ruined. Good coffee good food and wonderful ladies running this place and serving the customers here!“

“Parking situation sucks a little bit on a busy day so plan ahead to either wait for a spot or to park on the road. The servers were very friendly and accommodating but a little slow but I know they were very busy since it was Saturday. Food is very good, we all got burgers and steaks and we're all pleased with what we got. The appetizers were portioned kinda small so don't play to feed more than 2 people per app. The view of the lake was beautiful. I wish the music wasn't playing so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk at the table.“

“The Boxcar Grille is a staple in the Claremont community and in Catawba County. The food is good. The best part is the salad bar. The service is decent. You may have to wait a little bit. But the wait staff is always nice. The atmosphere is top notch, and they have remodeled somethings which has given it a fresh look.“

“Came here on a Wednesday for wing night special. I had part teriyaki and part buffalo wings. Service was good and the wings were delicious. Also they had a DJ and we played music bingo. My son won a hat and a 10.00 gift card. Most likely will go back!Parking: Very little street parking. We parked in the back in a dark lot and came in the back door. Back door you walk by the grease trap and the stuff you usually don’t see at a restaurant. I felt it was not ideal.Kid-friendliness: Kids seemed very welcome here. Had food for kids as well.“

“I got a double cheeseburger all the way and wow it was ridiculously good! Honestly the best burger I think I've had in Catawba county, super cheesy and not so loaded with other stuff that you couldn't taste the meat. I haven't been in over a decade, but I will certainly be going back often!“

“Small town restaurant go to for your bar-b-que and smoked meats. Bar-b-que chopped was moist perfect amount of sloppy the bread wasn't soggy and topped with in house made BBQ sauce and BBQ slaw. I wanted smoked chicken half or quarter and had asked about the chicken plate but the clerk didn't really elaborate. Great choice and worth the drive.“

“I visited Don's Grill for the first time a few days ago. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy. The staff was really friendly and checked on our needs often! The food is very tasty and comes out piping hot and exactly as ordered, which is fantastic. There are a lot of options and there are different daily specials to choose from. The milkshakes are wonderfully thick and come in a wide variety of flavors! You can dine in or call in an order and pick it up at the window or you can order at the window and wait for your order. I will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: It is just a friendly and relaxed place.“

We have made a few more purchases at OUR SHERRILLS FORD location and Everytime it's been fast, great service and fantastic beverages, coffee and all. What a refreshing thing. Fantastic job !!!Today March 6th2024 did a visit , long line but it was extremely fast. Under two minutes even after I added items to my call ahead. Wow, this sure beats competition. Along with a fantastic coffee at a fantastic price all ng with the cream Danish from heaven all ng with friendly service. GREAT JOB STAR BUCKS!!! You have me totally won over. Unreal !!!!“

“We stopped in for breakfast but got there past 10:30am. They only serve breakfast sandwiches post 10:30. The place was completely full as well as constant to go orders coming in.We ordered the club sandwich and the chicken tenders platter, both were very good. The unsweet ice tea was perfectly brewed.I am not from this part of town so I don't know if they are always this busy. If they are they need a second wait staff up front. There was only one waitress and she was busting it and doing her best, waiting tables, taking orders, answering the phone, cashiering, packaging up to go orders. She still stayed super pleasant to all of the customers. It obviously is a great local place with good food.“

“A great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine on the spacious patio! Nikki the bartender was extremely attentive and held great conversation. I had the tuna appetizer and calamari and both were delicious and came out very quickly. The view of the lake, the service and great management, and delicious food is all the reasons you need to make this a regular spot to visit!“

“My husband always wants brunch and orders the VERY same omelette however if the manager is cooking don’t get it!! He makes it tiny and hardly any hashbrowns with it. If this happens again we won’t go back. ALL of the waitresses are very nice but they are concerned about this too because of complaints.“

“Why didnt I swing in sooner. I unload up the road all the time but jave never stopped in. Finally did and man i wish i had sooner. Got a buffalo cut prime rib to go and it was amazing. Perfectly cook and tender to it. Will definitely be stopping again next time im down“

“I got a large pizza with onion mushroom and bacon well.... that is what I asked for. I ate 2 pieces. On one piece, I ate 2 pieces on onion, 3 pieces of mushrooms, and no bacon. The other piece, I ate 2 pieces of mushroom and one tiny piece of bacon. My husband had 4 pieces of pizza and noticed he didn't have much toppings either. I will say the pizza was still good, but they lack in putting toppings on the pizza. Oh, and when my husband got the pizza home, they had the pizza cut, and each piece was separated from the others, so most of the cheese had run off the crust on between the pieces. I wish i would've taken a picture when my husband brought it home. I will try it one more time the next time I'm in town. If it's the same, I won't return. I always give a place a second chance.“

“For those of you who aren't old enough to remember what a "fish camp" is, this is it! 3rd generation of family ownership. Scratch-made tartar sauce, onion rings slaw and hush puppies. Catfish fillet meal is strips, not a full slab. Still delicious; not greasy, and batter was not over-salty. Service was a slow for the size crowd. Server was managing 4 tables with total of 7 people. Never refilled my drink. Was offered more hush puppies, but they never arrived. Also got the wrong slaw: ordered sweet and received sour. I'll come back for the good. food, but probably lean towards take-out next trip 5 food and 2 star service.“
