“I am in town and really wanted to eat healthy. This place was close and the young man who wanted on me was very helpful. I told him I had never been there before so he explained all my options. The proportions were reasonable, but probably for a grown man it might not be enough. I actually didn’t put any protein on my bowl because I’m a vegetarian so this was a great option for me. The flavor was wonderful. I think it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in a long time. They could keep the bar a little more cleaned up and the avocado was bad so I asked him to give me a fresh avocado which she did without any complaints . I will go back here and eat, and I think the prices are reasonable as well. Just needs a little your observation to the details around the restaurant. Keeping everything fresh is really important us to setting like this. I love it!“

“I was so disappointed with my meal as I had been looking forward to trying their spanakopita which came with a Greek salad. The salad was very good but the spanakopita was terrible. It was so dry that I couldn't cut it with a table knife! I've had this dish at other places and this is the worst I have had--order with caution!“

A few observations.

The ambiance is terrific. Finally a restaurant that understands that background music in BACKGROUND music. Perfect volume for allowing table conversations. The tables are nicely spread out so you’re not competing with other table conversations. Granted it was on a Tuesday night but by the time we left the place was quite busy. Have your phone light ready to read the menu as it can be a little dark inside.

The decor is subtle but still very interesting. Not easy to hide huge support columns but they’ve done it nicely! Love the open kitchen. Table was a great size and the cushions in our booth were very comfortable and very clean.

The service was terrific. Chris, our server, was at once very attentive and engaging. I love the model that the server welcomes, answers questions and takes our orders. It’s others who bring out cocktails, appetizers and the meal thus freeing up the servers to attend to their tables.

The food was very good. My wife had the salmon which she thought was delicious. I had the braised ribs. The meat itself was tender and delicious. I have to say that I was looking forward to a little more kick in the horseradish and mustard sauce. I can understand that it’s a delicate balance of too much kick and too little. But I was disappointed. I guess I could have asked for a side of horseradish to kick it up a bit. The cheesecake for desert was tasty as well.

One personal disappointment. When making our reservation, like many reservation apps, the user is asked if there’s a special occasion for the evening. I noted that it was my wife’s birthday. Her birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day.

I wasn’t after a free desert topped with a candle. But I thought it would have been nice to simply acknowledge her with a, “happy birthday.” You see, if you ask for the information and you’re given then information, and you do nothing with the information it leaves one disappointed.

Anyway, given everything else, we’ll be back a some point.“
