“The vibe here is amazing! I love a double entendre so walking in to see a sign that says “meat here” with a giant arrow instantly gives me the giggles! The multicolored decor and cool artwork made it hard to do anything but keep smiling. As soon as we’re seated our waitress says “I love your earring and all your jewlery” and I was smitten. I took my jacket off right as she was brining our food. “I love your tattoos” she says and I’m falling in love with this place. The cheesin steak sandwich is smothered in cheese, the wings are crispy, our appetizers came out fast and hot, and the atmosphere was great. I was having such a good time I didn’t even mind the watered down, chunkless blu cheese. You won’t either I promise! My husband and friends notified the waitress it was my 29th birthday to which she replied “29 would have never guessed your 29!” and I’m a little shocked. The thing is it was 13th 29th birthday so I reply “ and how old did you think I was?” I’m expecting a 35 or 36…. She says “24!” I laughed so much and said “I’m actually 42” and it was her turn to be shocked. She actually insisted I pull out my ID and that’s when I knew this lunch date was a Flirtatious Fork 5 star “Marry Me” good! ❤️ the food, the vibe, the service, the drinks (get the emerald godness, it’s amazing!) 💔 having to leave and knowing there isn’t a groovy beast near me! If im ever in Gastonia again I’ll go back!“

So my REAL review #Hostess 11/10… Jay our waitress 10/10 (only because I feel the food should have been brought out as it became ready EVEN if the kitchen failed miserably) food taste 7/10 because my daughter loved her chicken and waffles! And my son didn’t LOVE the chicken. But overall the atmosphere was nice. Jay did have a lot to handle with our big group and some allergies BUT in my opinion SHE HANDLED HERSELF WELL UNDER STRESS AND ISSUES OUT OF HER CONTROL! I think I would go back but maybe not with a group and definitely not 2 hours to closing I think the kitchen staff probably gives up at that point and figure you get what you get!“

“Our first visit was today. The food was amazing and the Manager that was working the afternoon was amazing. The Manager stepped up and came our waitress she filled our drinks and brought our bill. Our Waitress we had was horrible she never once refilled our drinks. She only took our order and delivered it to us. We did leave a tip which should go to the Manager. We will visit again just hope we have a different waitress.“

“We discovered Pier 88 last lake season and it’s become a must do every time we are on the lake. It’s the perfect stop for gas, burgers, ice cream, smoothies. The owners are absolutely the BEST!! We feel like part of the family every time we visit!!! I always leave with some sort of merchandise... the sun shirts are fabulous, love @sunbum and @boggobag and today grabbed a @silipint cup! “We’ve been to Traust twice now for karaoke nights, both times were great!! We had a birthday dinner there with about 25 people in our party, and Megan held it down!! She did awesome at keeping everyone’s drinks full and taking orders as people rolled in. She was attentive and friendly. Last night there was some drama with a strange man dancing around and trying to talk to our kids. Once I mentioned it to our server, she and several other staff members IMMEDIATELY ran this guy off. They do NOT play when it comes to child safety.“

“I haven’t had Greek Food since I moved here from the DMV. I wanted take out. The young lady answered on the second ring,(good sign). Ordered two Gyro platters and a Club Sandwich. The food was delicious. The order was ready when I arrived for pickup. The food was fresh, no French Fries in old grease which tends to make them look brown. The white sauce on the Gyro which I can’t pronounce was in the correct amount not drowning the peta bread. The Club Sandwich wash fresh. The lettuce was crunchy not soggy. I will eat there again. I do recommend them.“

The service in this place is a 20. Everyone from the front greeter to the bus person, 3 waitresses…oh my, we just can’t say enough about them all. EVERYONE mentioned asked us several times if we needed anything. Our food was hot and delicious!!! The Toastery made us feel comfortable and like we were a grandmas loving home during the holidays.
