“We were traveling from Asheville to DC and my Japanese girlfriend picked this place for lunch. We are foodies, travel extensively (go to Japan annually) and we loved this place. The freshness and quality of the sushi is rare to find in America! Based on our experiences worldwide, we can confidently place M Sushi in the Top 10 Sushi restaurants in America!“

“I had a fantastic experience at Sushioki in Durham, NC! We tried the spicy tuna burrito and the HoeDeopBap burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The service was excellent — the staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. “Oh this is a great place for Pho!
My girls like the fried rice, my son likes the ramen but my husband and I love the extremely large super hot bowl of pho!
The beef is sliced perfectly and the hot broth cooks the beef so tenderly.
The staff is friendly and prices are good.
Minor issues I find is the lobby.
It is very small with limited seating.
It may be that they don’t have much dine in customers so perhaps they don’t need much space.
It’s still a wonderful little spot to grab a hot soup or noddles“

“Genji is a sushi station in Whole Foods. So you have to purchase what has been made. Sushi master who is a vey talented, knowledgeable person can also take orders. However this is mostly is a one man show. If he is not busy he can take specific orders. I love his work. Rice is perfectly seasoned, fish is fresh.“

“Peony had been the go-to spot for a while and the food is great for take out and normally on-point with their service. However, something is wrong with their system because the last few times as it seems to be “losing my online order” meaning I have to wait an extra 20 minutes. Nothing major would just recommend they upgrade their ordering service to minimize these minor, but recently consistent inconveniences. Would recommend calling to place order.“

“A part of my order was not delivered, although I ordered on their direct website. when I called to ask for a refund, I was told that they would not do so because they are only responsible for making the food. Noone offered to contact the driver service to rectify. Instead, when I mentioned that I could only choose to not use the restaurant again, I was laughed at. Very unfortunate. I used to greatly enjoy this location. UPDATE: The restaurant reached out, apologized, and are doing what they can to make it right. I appreciate the follow up, and I totally will go back. The food is good, and they are one of the few places in that part of Durham that isn't a chain.“

“The food was great! The buffet was full of options. Lots of seafood, chicken and beef choices. There were also a lot of vegetable choices too including bok choy. Everything was super tasty and fresh. We were coming through Durham on Christmas Day and stopped. I would definitely eat here again.“

“I popped in right at opening and got me the Luxe Lobster bowl with half rice and half salad. It was absolutely delicious! I switched out the ponzu sauce for the sriracha aioli and it was so good. I love a lot of sauce and Renee(I think) def hooked me up. Customer service was great and they were quick so I was able to run in and run right back out!“

“Just moved to this side of town, And first of all they have a all you can eat buffet for 7.99. nuf said. Pluss its family owned and run By a really nice mixed Asian family. The food could honestly be better but it's always fresh. Me personally I'm dumping cash into this place......“

“I will say that I can be a bit of a Hibachi snob, as it's one of my favorite foods, so I was a bit hesitant about eating hibachi that isn't cooked directly in front of me.

This is the first time that I've ordered take-out for hibachi buuuuuut it was excellent!! I ordered the Shrimp and Steak and it was delicious!

The pre-packaged yum-yum and ginger sauces (they standardly provide 2 yy and 1 ginger) were also unexpectedly amazing and they complimented the meal perfectly. The portions were also generous, as they completely covered my to go box.

I will DEFINITELY be revisiting this hidden gem the next time I had to Raleigh! I've found a new favorite!“
