“We really enjoyed our take-out from Sakura 8. The prices are fair, meat is cooked well, and the rice is a typical hibachi style soy sauce fried rice. The food overall isn’t very seasoned. When it comes to hibachi, the seasoning is supposed to be mild because the flavor comes from ginger and yum yum sauce
that you can get at the self serve counter by the fountain. I think it’s great you can basically get as much as you want. And the both sauces taste just like they should. We also had crab rangoons which were imo the best in the area, and salmon sushi rolls which were typical “cheap takeout” sushi quality but they tasted great with well cooked rice. I was a little bit sketched out by the reviews but I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. The people that work here were nice and respectful.“

“Greatest Of All Time chinese joint. I’m down to fight if you wanna disagree. 1) All the meat I’ve tried here is lean and flavorful, consistently high quality. That’s hard to find. 2) Stellar value on their meals. Hibachi lunch combo is like $12 after taxes AND you get a side of the best egg drop soup on the Eastern Seaboard. Also, they’ve had a BOGO free Makimono sushi roll deal for several years now, and it’s always been tasty. 3) Service is immaculate. The nice lady usually working the counter knew my name by my third time coming in, she’ll hand me my order without me having to say word. If someone says the service was bad here, I can guarentee they were being bad customers. 4) SELF SERVE SAUCES, UTENSILS, AND FORTUNE COOKIES. Hibachi 88 is the ONLY asian food place I’ve ever visited that offers this. I like a lot of soy and duck sauce, and I love fortune cookies. It’s the little things like that, that keep me as a return customer.“

“Sono was the best sushi I’ve had in a long time! Out of alllll the rolls at our table the Screaming O was amazing. The Poke roll was a close second. Great food, great service — including our server boxing up leftovers and including a fresh salad as an extra customer care touch!

“We had a wonderful experience. We mentioned to our server, Vanessa, that we were celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary, and she truly went above and beyond to make it special. Her service was excellent, thoughtful, and genuinely over the top in the best way. The food was great, but the service was even better. Vanessa took such great care of us and made our night even more memorable“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi at City Market! Everything tasted fresh, the rolls were well made, and the presentation was beautiful. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!“

“The service was excellent. Our server was very patient. We went to celebrate our daughter’s 10th birthday and she and the kids took a minute to choose their boba teas. He did not rush us and was very kind. Our orders came out quickly and everything was correct. The ramen and gyozu were delicious.“

“Good drink specials throughout the week, I appreciate the infusion that these dishes provide between Mexican and Asian. I always get the sushi with a little less sauce, which always is perfect for me. It’s great to have a sit down restaurant. That’s also one you can order from the bar and take to go inside the food hall.“

“Julianne's moon was incredible! Volcano is my favorite usually but I wasn't as impressed here. The fried wonton things were yummy 😋 Bryan don't come after me I forgot what they are called. Our blonde waitress was unfortunately inattentive and distracted by her phone, but nice when we could get her attention to ask for the one refill we needed much earlier in the meal. Will still come back..“

“Absolutely amazing experience! The sushi was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, but what really made my visit special was the service.
I want to give a special shout-out to Omar, our server. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever felt this well taken care of at a restaurant before. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, professional, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His attention to detail and the way he treated us made the entire experience exceptional.
Omar is a true asset to this restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great sushi and outstanding service!“

“I've been a regular here over the last few years. Something I really appreciate about their business is their willingness to alter rolls. I have only altered 1 ingredient typically, so I don't know how it would work if you wanted to make more than one adjustment.
I recommend their spicy salmon roll and their spicy girl roll. It's no longer listed on their menu, but if you ask for a pokemon roll and enjoy salmon+lemon+ginger, I recommend the pokemon roll.
Food is 4 stars because although I love their tempura appetizer, it tends to be on the greasy side.“

“This is a great place that never disappoints mostly because of the care and attention the owner provides. I've been going here for twenty years. It a favorite in Raleigh.
Sushi bar, comfortable tables inside and outside. The servers are friendly and attentive.

“I took my two boys out for dinner tonight and had the best time. Omar was our chef and he was amazing!! We are not new to this place, but he made it so creative and different. That’s super hard to do! He is hilarious and by far our favorite Japanese steakhouse chef we’ve had, and we’ve seen a lot. Such a kind guy! We will request him the next time we stop in. Hope you are lucky enough to have him too :)“

“If you want some fast/hibachi come here! Who cares about the area ,or if people hanging around outside. Get your food and leave! I'm from Jersey the best food come from not the best area's. I enjoyed my crab wonton's;steak& chicken hibachi .They definitely cooking with flavor unlike some places.“

“I can’t believe some of these reviews because I have gone three times and the food has been so so good. We have dined in at a table and we also have dined in at the grill. We have had many of the options. Shrimp, filet, ribeye, crab watons and more. All have been exceptional! Our chef the night we sat at the grill was fantastic as well. Our waitress at our last meal was phenomenal. I do want to say my only draw back is that we called at 8:00 asking for a reservation for 8:30 (the website said to call) and the girl who answered was sassy saying they wouldn’t sit us unless we were there by a certain time and they wouldn’t do a reservation.“
