But what it lacks in formality, it makes up for in warmth. The mosaic-topped tables add a touch of charm, and the friendly conversation with the staff made us feel right at home.We opted for the lamb and chicken kebap platters, and both were excellent. The marinated meat was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying rice, Turkish salad, and even the fries were all fresh and flavorful. The portions were incredibly generous. We also tried the stuffed grape leaves and baklava, and both were delicious additions to our meal.The two men working at the restaurant, who I believe included Mustafa himself, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to chat with us about their home country and made us feel like valued guests.Overall, Mustafa's Place is a hidden gem in Spencer. It offers delicious and authentic Turkish cuisine in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. The generous portions and friendly service make it a great value.”

“My husband is not a BBQ fan, and I love BBQ, so finding a place where we can both be happy is difficult. He ate here for the first time this past week and was raving about it being his new favorite place to eat. He had the brisket. The burnt ends, mac and cheese, and broccoli salad were all soooo good!!! We live in Statesville but will happily make the drive.”

“This little gem will surprise you with a modern take on traditional Vietnamese dishes. Great flavor and friendly staff, run by second generation immigrants. As good as any you’d find in Houston, San Fran, or LA. Not much seating but squeeze in for a yummy lunch!”

“Every time I am in Salisbury within the time frame of them being open, I happly stand in that line and wait for my chance to order. They smile and greet you like they are happy you are there. Which is hard to come by now a days. The burgers and dogs are simple but perfection! Everything melts together, but it isn't falling out all over you while you eat. You order they put it in the bag and your off. Pro tip: walk around the corner to Bottle and Can get a beer and drink it while you wait in line. It's all in the social district.”

“Our family of four came into downtown Salisbury to attend the Nutcracker performance at Catawba College. We do not live locally so we didn't prepare for the demand on local restaurants that evening. Without reservations, we were unable to be seated at two other nearby restaurants. My husband walked into Carpe Vinum and despite having no reservations and a quick timeline (45 minutes) they were able to seat us at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and accommodating. Through her service and the kitchen's quick response, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and never felt rushed. My daughters loved their espresso martini and aperol spritz. Between the four of us, we enjoyed a grilled wedge salad, a caesar salad, lobster bisque, sliders, tuna bites and fried shrimp. It was all wonderful! Thank you again for a great dinner and the hospitality. We will be back!”

“One of our "go-to" places for Mexican food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Service is prompt, staff are friendly and they checked in with us several times.”

“We absolutely love the Grove Cartel. They have a wonderful atmosphere, staff, food and beverages. We go routinely to either eat upstairs or sit and relax downstairs. They often times have live music, music bingo, and other activities to involve the community. A definite must try!!! You will not be disappointed!!”

“Went for lunch today. Had a 5 minute wait to be seated which was pretty fast. Ordered our food. I also had soup with my meal but they had no silverware. The waitress brought a pack of plastic utensils. She eventually brought metal silverware .. For some reason they have become pretty stingy with condiments. They had bottled ketchup on tables except a few so she brought us packets instead of a bottle. The wood chairs are pretty hard to sit in. Some of them look like the front legs are shorter than the back legs. Other than that everything was ok..”

“Always on the lookout for a meadery, Buzzed popped up and was right on our travel path. The facility is quite large with lots of seating and a serving kitchen so many folks were eating meals. While it is a meadery, it offers a wide variety of products. We did tastings and found the Meadow Foam mead extraordinary. It was unfortunate that there was a sales restrctions on mead as we wanted to buy bottles to take home, but their supply was limited to on sale only due to a production issue. Definitely would visit again when in the area.”

“I had never heard of this place and certainly didn't realize it was a chain until pulling it up on Google Maps. I ate here on Friday and it was spectacular. I was very happy with the pancakes and the livermush+egg+cheese sandwich. I also had a bite of hashbrowns and country fried steak. I highly recommend this place because not only was the food great, but the service was wonderful and the price was right.”

“Una excelente adición a Salisbury. El restaurante estaba un poco escondido, pero tiene amplio estacionamiento para encontrarse con mucha familia. Es difícil encontrar restaurantes Mexicanos con buen sazón. Aquí si hay sazón. El arroz era arroz 100% Mexicano, húmedo y con el saborcito a knorr. Nada seco amigos. También los platos son de porciones muy generosas. Me encanto el chile relleno. La calabacita al lado estaba deliciosa y en verdad no se ve en otros restaurantes. Me pareció un plato muy hogareño y auténtico con este elemento. Nos preguntaron si queríamos salsas que pica y no fallaron. Aunque tienen mucha clientela estadounidense si se puede comer con gusto y en confianza aquí como Mexicano. Lo digo porque a veces en busca de comida Mexicana de alto rating é tenido la experiencia de que la comida es desabrida y para un paladar americano - Y no se ve ningún hispano en la clientela . Aquí todos los empleados parecían ser de habla hispana y nos atendieron muy bien en ambos lenguajes. Ya hay planes para regresar y introducir a nuestros amigos y familia este restaurante. “I got the chicken sovlaki pita with fries. The fries were nice and crisp, the chicken pita was pretty big, and I felt like a good amount of food for the price, but it was too plain! I almost couldn't taste it, so it wasn't bad, just nothing to write home about. I was disappointed maybe some of their other food has more flavor and seasoning.”
