“Just WOW! The best asada taco I have ever had in my entire life! They must make their corn tortillas in house - they are thick and soft + unlike most store bought corn tortillas they do not fall apart. We savored every bite and then both my husband and I kept bringing up how good they were!“

“Why can’t we have this restaurant closer to our home instead of off the interstate on our way to TN? We were in the mood for Mexican food fir lunch, and saw the sign for this restaurant as we exited. The food was marvelous, as was our waiter. We are on our way to our final destination now - full and raving about lunch. First thing that was given to us was a large round corn tortilla with salsa on top. It was not spicy, and it was just enough to whet our appetites. Delicious! We are grateful that we did not fill up by eating customary chips and salsa. The menu was huge, and it was difficult to decide on just one thing. Due to a dental procedure, I had to find something soft. The cheese quesadilla fit the bill and it was perfect. The included salad was different and amazing: cucumber, tomato, dried banana slice, apple slices, and lettuce with Caesar dressing. Husband raved about his cheese grilled burrito with chicken, rice, and the same salad. If you are in the area, and you like authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. We will make it a stop anytime we are in the area so we can try more of the menu items!“

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!“

When my wife calls ahead, they recognize her voice and ask if she wants the regular, which for us has been the sopes. “I see why this is 5 stars! Only 7 reviews is criminal though. Hand made tortillas and meat with amazing flavor. I got cabeza (beef cheek) and pastor. Very very good! Both salsas are good. A perfect wedge of lime for each taco. You NEED to try this place. Best tacos ive has in Asheville area. Quick service and very friendly. I'll make this a very regular stop for much lunch breaks.“
