“Southwest Tacos chicken and veggies were fresh, tender and delicious. Southwest Tacos steak was unfortunately tough. Empanada was amazing and exactly as described with a flaky fresh crust!! Excellent prices and I will definitely be back! UPDATE 10/27/25 Ordered a steak Gordita for the first time and it tasted amazing ❤️ I wish this location in Clayton would list sour cream as an extra condiment on their delivery apps because it would have made my Empanada and Gordita over the top and a small extra charge would not have bothered me a bit😁“

“This restaurant and quality is about as Mexican as it gets!; homemade tortillas, delicious rice, carne asada, and burritos along with decent prices serve as solid evidence of a fantastic eatery that has garnered our loyal patronage. WE WILL RETURN!!!“

“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food has always been amazing. My wife tried there taco salad last night. It looked more like cream of mushroom soup. Something went wrong with the portions of ingredients. We showed our waitress. She said “you stirred it to much” The manager came over without us complaining to her and apologized and said she was embarrassed. She heavily discounted the bill to try to make things right. We appreciate that and will definitely return. Our waitress Brenda seemed to insinuate we just wanted free food and drinks. Even though I handed her a 20% cash tip for the un discounted check amount. And told her the food wasn’t her fault. Everything else was great as usual. And the manager made every effort to insure a positive experience. El Barzon is a great place to eat. We highly recommend it.“

“Wonderful spot to grab a bite to eat with friends or family. Service begins with fresh chips and salsa, and the menu has something for everyone. I had the California Quesadilla and have to say, it was one of the best quesadillas I've had in years, and I'm from Arizona where good Mexican food is plentiful! Fast and friendly staff, easy parking, all around an excellent establishment.“

“I come here at least once a month and it never disappoints. I went last night and everything was great as always. The service is consistently excellent no matter who’s working, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Easily one of my go-to Mexican spots.“

“Had a very nice lunch. There were 4 of us. So, we each got a meal and tea/soda to drink. We ordered a large queso dip as well. The total came to $82. Pretty steep. The device was great but the value for food was not. Probably would not recommend it for lunch.“

“One of my favorite place for street style tacos and papusas!!! The food is all freshly made and authentic. I go there at least twice a week for lunch and it’s deff a cost efficient and delicious option. They have many more food options but it’s one of those hole in the wall places you won’t want to miss“
“Hidden gem! This place is a nonprofit located inside the medical mall of Smithfield across from the hospital. They use actual eggs on a grill to make breakfast sandwiches (not microwaved). They help people with accessibility by providing jobs and helping adults learn skills for independence. Very friendly staff, lovely baked goods and sandwiches.“
