“Tucked away in the middle of Morganton, North Carolina, right in the middle of downtown, is Pat’s Snack Bar — a local spot that’s been around for nearly 50 years.
It’s a small, no-frills restaurant with a very simple menu. Cash only, sit-down seating, plus a small bar area. Everything is cooked right there on the flat top in front of you, which adds to the experience. Burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and liver mush (definitely an acquired taste — proceed with caution on that one).
Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was super friendly, the food was solid, and it’s the kind of place you’d gladly stop at again. Also they have excellent desserts served in the back of the restaurant. The lady preparing these sweet treats has been at Pat's since 2001.
Just note the limited hours — open Monday through Wednesday from 11 AM to 2 PM — but if you catch it when it’s open, it’s well worth the stop.”

“One of the best maintained Ruby Tuesday's that i have visited. The restaurant was very clean. We felt very welcomed from the time we entered the building until we finished our meal and left. “As a non local (and craft beer snob) - it was nice to find a spot in Lenoir I could indulge. On my first night, the bartender (I think Tyler?) was super cool and gave me samples to my curiosity. On future visits Lexie was a sweetheart and always friendly. The owner, Jesse, engages in his patrons. As with any successful brewery, this one succeeded in it's care for the people they serve.

Edit: the Mr piggy pizza is what you want if you like a little spice. Ask for the homemade ranch to dip your crust. (Thanks Lexie)”
