“This was hands down some of the best vegan food I’ve had. Been mostly plant based for about 7 years now. I’m so sad I didn’t find out about them sooner on my visit to Charlotte. But I will absolutely be back!!!

Adie was absolutely excellent in explaining the menu and sharing her favorites! (I gave her a personal to let her know how wonderful her recommendations were) The fries are delicious. Seasoning so so good! I had my mouth set on the biscoff cookie shake, they only had Oreo. I tried it but it was just ok. Highly recommend giving out bigger straws b/c it was a headache sucking that shake through lol. I also would recommend using coconut milk instead of oat milk. It just has an aftertaste whereas coconut not so much.

The best thing and the shocker for me and my non vegan friend, was the Carolina Hot dog. It left me screaming and then speechless. My friend even did a happy dance lol. We are contemplating taking another drive tonight before they close b/c I shared it with her as she was too nervous to get it, we want more lol. We both love hotdogs and I can’t say that I’ve ever had a really good vegan one. This was it!!! And honestly can’t tell it was vegan from the texture, to the chili, the special sauces, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

And the Philly cheesesteak came a very close second runner up. The bread stood up to the sauces. And they are saucey but I don’t mind it at all. Sautéed peppers, onions, the protein…this was just good clean food and not too much processed.

As a vegan chef (Mama Nicca’s Homemade Things) and someone who loves to be creative in this vegan world of cooking, this truly was OUTSTANDING. I will probably return every time I’m in Charlotte. “I’m really picky about tofu and how it’s cooked, this place is hands down the best in town for tofu, not mushy at all. I tried this place for the first time and I wish I did sooner. The Korean BBQ tofu fingers are amazing. The Mac n cheese was good too, not sure the spice they put on top, but it’s sweet. I plan to start going in person!“

We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.“

“We are from out of town and wanted to try something new. Manager delivered our food and asked us about our visit. He thanked us for picking them for lunch and gave us chips and queso on the house! “The Sweet Life is a phenomenal bakery specializing in desserts and baked goods, and just about everything they make is excellent. Their selection is consistently fresh, rich, and satisfying.

My family keeps going back mainly for their lemon bars and strawberry bars, which are absolutely outstanding. Those alone are worth the visit.

I’ve heard some people speculate about pre-made mixes being used, but honestly, the quality of their desserts makes that hard to believe. Everything tastes too fresh and well-made.

Beyond the bars, their cupcakes are great, and I’ve heard really good things about their custom cakes for birthdays and weddings as well.

Prices are generally around $4–$7 per item, and while that might sound a bit high, the portions are often large—some of the cookies and bars are genuinely huge, so you get your money’s worth.

Overall, it’s a fantastic bakery for special treats or occasions. It might not be the best place for an everyday habit… though it’s definitely the kind of place that could accidentally become one.“

I was pleasantly surprised that the service was exceptional. The food was also exceptional. We had omelettes with home fries. The home fries were out of this world.
