“Looking for lunch after hiking Jackrabbit Trail & stopped in at Pic-A-Nick. Fantastic sandwiches, friendly staff & a beautiful outdoor area. We had the Rueben & the Tuna, both were tasty & generous portions & came with a bag of chips, a pickle & a surprise cookie. Very dog friendly, my guy even got a piece of bacon. Give it a try if you’re in the area.”

“My hubby and I stopped in for a pizza dinner one night while staying in Nantahala for the week. Very good food and an intimate cozy atmosphere. The server was very sweet and attentive as well! She recommended the house made Sangria and I loved it! We will be back when on vacation!”

“Julie greeted us as we came in. I loved the ambiance! The menu looked incredible. It was BOGO for tacos and my family recommended the fish taco and shrimp taco. The presentation was wonderful and the flavors were amazing! The tortilla had just the right crunch. I live in California and have had great tacos, but nothing like this! Will go again (hopefully) before I leave! Highly recommend! And they have a beautiful porch in the back next to the creek and live music on weekends! Please give it a try!”

“We came in last night with a party of 9 and were seated very quickly in the outside dinning area. The space heaters worked perfectly to take the chill out. The wings were delcious and very meaty and cooked to a perfection. The choice of wings sauces were spot on and offered a fantastic variety to choose from. “Some friends and I went into the Loaded Cow because one of my friends was hungry for home churned ice cream. I'm not a huge eater of ice cream and may have it a few times a year, mostly because my grandsons love it. I ordered a scoop of the salted caramel and wow, it was so creamy and delicious. I don't think I've ever had better ice cream anywhere! the creaminess and flavor were amazing 🤩 I'll return for sure !! Go! you will NOT be disappointed!”

“Great service and good food for a surprisingly fair price. Sunday brunch includes breakfast items such as made-to-order omelettes, eggs Benedict, waffles and biscuits and sausage. Lunch fare includes salad bar, chicken, pork, salmon, shrimp cocktail and prime rib, but the absolute best item is the Bourbon bread pudding—YUM!”

Love their wines and the enjoyable well maintained vineyards. When visiting in the fall I recommend their Apple Wine.”

“The owner of our Airbnb recommended coming here for the AYCE crab and we are so glad she did. We both agreed it was the best crab that we've ever had. Its cooked perfectly. And they don't skimp, they truly will serve you all you can eat. The coleslaw, potato salad and hushpuppies are all really good too, and they give you small servings of all three which we thought was nice. They weren't trying to fill us up on other things. The interior is cute. It is small, so I understand now why they recommend reservations. Our server was really good too, she was so friendly and attentive without being overbearing, asking if we wanted more crab at just the right time. We also got their coconut cake to take home for later and it was really good too. This is a hidden jewel that I would highly recommend!”

“My daughter ordered chicken tenders and received a USED KETCHUP PACKET in her food. When I brought it to the guys attention he looked mortified and went back to the kitchen and came back with an obvious lie that "the cook was playing with ketchup packets and just put them all back in there." I ate a little of my food...like part of my burrito and the more we sat there the more disgusted I got. When I told them I was uncomfortable eating the food because honestly who knows what else they've scraped off of plates...he comes back with my check with the kids meal taken off. I should have pushed further, but Im a pushover. I would have paid for the drinks and cheese dip regardless, but I shouldn't have had to pay for all that uneaten food. 100% will not be back. They probably gave someone all of our uneaten rice since it could easily be reheated 🤢”
