Nestled in the beautiful remote mountains and accessible over the spectacular Cherohala Skyway or the famous Tail of the Dragon from Maryville, it offers beautiful, serene mountain views, delicious meals, and a friendly staff. We love staying in one of the small private cottages with a terrace looking out on the mountains. It is a magical place in nature, providing a yearly respite and regeneration. It’s memory long lingers in one’s imagination. Snowbird has nature trails, lovely unspoiled forests all around and Lake Santeetlah below, as well as Natahala white water rafting nearby as well as the magnificent Fontana Dam. Also nearby one can reach the scenic Smoky Mountain Highway en route to other destinations.

Lynn's Place
237 E Main St, RobbinsvilleThe food was really good, the service was excellent and the place was full of people who had driven a long way to eat there. We ride motorcycles and this is a regular stop when here we are in the area. We drive up from Ball Ground GaAnd plan to be here at lunch time. We are very happy with the place.

Tapoco Tavern
14981 Tapoco Rd, RobbinsvilleIf you are anywhere close to Tapoco Lodge, do yourself a favor and stop in. It's an amazing place set on the banks of a beautiful river with rapids and, if you are there at the right time, many kayakers running the river. We were there this past weekend with the Miata event and went to eat lunch on Saturday. Their lot was full but we got lucky and found a spot. They even had someone at the entrance and another guy in the lot with radios so they could tell people arriving if there were spaces in the lot or not. They said that the wait would be 1.5 hours for a table which was just fine with us. When the scenery and mood is that great, no time is too long to wait. It turned out to be only 45 minutes and the food was fantastic. They have many vegetarian options for my daughter and I had the Stella chicken sandwich which was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. Despite them being super busy, Heidi gave us EXCELLENT service and she was very attentive.Best food and atmosphere in all of western North Carolina. Just do it!

Our fajitas for two were one of the best we have had in a long time. The portion was so ample we filled a to go box completely after finishing our dinner.

129 Rodney Orr Bypass, RobbinsvilleThis is by far the best Subway we've ever been to. The guy making sandwiches was kind and courteous and he made EXCELLENT sandwiches for our picnic. I'm so glad we drove through Robbinsville and stopped here for our lunch!

Dragon's Den Grill
17548 Tapoco Rd, RobbinsvilleI took a friend from Germany there on 8/1/23...She told me it was the best Hamburger she has ever ate here in America so far and believe me we ate at a lot of places.. I do agree with her on this. She also liked the fries and my Onion rings. It was worth the ride up there. The staff was friendly and courteous. Didn't have to wait very long on the food. Prices are reasonable. Clean dinning area. And free refills on drinks. Definitely will eat there the next time I go back.

It needs a good cleaning and some paint to give more stars on atmosphere. I suggest the chicken wrap, they grill it so it just a little warm ( yummy) and they have sweet potato fries which I love! Order ahead and take it to go!Parking: Easy in and outWheelchair accessibility: No steps

The restaurant was clean in the dining area and rest rooms. Most importantly, the staff was super friendly. If you're in the area you won't be disappointed stopping here!!Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff.Parking: Plenty of free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Whole restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
