“We have been here a few times and the food is always amazing, the atmosphere is awesome and the staff is friendly and attentive. It’s our favorite place in Downtown Wilkesboro. (We got the Mozzarella sticks, loaded tater tots. Not pictured is the Aussie burger and Wings. The drink is the Wonky Wombat.) All was soo yummy. The cake is from an outside company. Highly suggest going here to Eat. Gather. Play“

“Lunch on Friday and very busy. The gentleman bussing tables pointed us to the last table available. Had the special to go - which was a scoop of homemade chicken salad (delish) served w/crackers, fruit cup (ok) and nice slice of very moist German chocolate cake. Also enjoyed in restaurant a footlong hotdog (very good chili & slaw) and cheeseburger along with fries and the best onion rings I have enjoyed in a long time. Fast and super friendly service. Definitely locals favorite. Reasonable prices. Looking forward to next visit.“

“I didn’t think there was a place in Wilkes to get a real, make ya mouth water, burger. I went through the drive through and the young lady was so polite and friendly. This is a very unique restaurant that reminds me of the good old days ❤️ I’ll be back soon!“

“Accidentally ended up here with my kids & was pleasantly surprised. The food was phenomenal & we all loved it. Tony was our server & he was great. It was a perfect experience food wise & at first i thought this was going to be a bad review, but the food & Tony's service would not allow me. Our only negative issue was the host ( guy at the door) was rude. I could go into detail about ignoring & dismissing us, but I'll just say he was rude. I almost left, but we were 2 hours from home and the kids were hungry. So we stayed & thought this will be my first bad review. But the place was clean and the food was delicious. I won't let him ruin the experience. We really loved the food! Undecided about a future visit though.“

“Delicious. Server was very kind. Our food came right out after we ordered. Recommend the French toast, eggs and gravy biscuit...I did not eat all of that by myself, but tasted it all and it was very tasty. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I would come here again.“

“Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. Food is always on point and service is top notch. Great family friendly atmosphere and super clean. You may have a wait to dine in or in the drive through but I promise it's worth it. I grew up visiting the North Carolina coast often and have had my share of great seafood and this locally owned restaurant in the foothills is just as good as any of the seafood places at the beach. I'm always pleased with anything I get time after time. I highly recommend their smothered chicken for anyone not wanting seafood but my favorite dish is the blackened grilled scallops with their famous Captains taters as my side. Both have always been excellent dining in and take out on many occasions.“

“After spending the morning in the hospital and unable to eat for 24+ hours with my wife, we were tired and WE WERE HUNGRY!!! We only stopped here because it was close to the hospital. Talk about a hidden diamond in the rough. We had to be very picky with what we ordered but the young lady at the register was patient and kind. After overhearing us making our long carefully chosen order the cook, a large man, a very large man, came to the front, introduced himself, and assured us that he would make our order to our liking... he certainly did keep his promise. The young man working out front (bussing I assume) even stepped up and got us salad dressing when he found out we needed some. I could go much more into detail about our pleasant experience but it's just a review, not literature. It's a rare occasion these days when you get such service and everyone treats you so well. What a great crew!!! We will certainly be back!Oh, I almost forgot... the food was pretty good and was priced right.“

“Christmas evening and all through the place cars were parked taking up space... food was moving but not very fast. Thankfully, we got a server that had us out in a flash! Amaya was her name and amazing service she provided... even with my picky family being so undecided. With our order placed, a long wait we feared! But miss Amaya soon was there, full of Christmas cheer! With a smile she greeted us the best server indeed, we were so happy to have miss Amaya on this rainy Christmas eve!No seriously give this girl a raise... she's young, working on christmas day and still greeted us with a genuine "Merry Christmas " after dealing with a packed house and our long and complicated order with a few " oh I'm sorry, can I change thats? " plus we had to order a shake while she was giving us our order and she ran right in no attitude and brought it out fast! This kind of service is so appreciated and we need more Amayas like the one working at Sonic on 421 in Wilkesboro, NCMerry Christmas! And God bless“

“Cool spot that was a bit overrun with Merlefest visitors, but they seemed very competent at regulating the crowd. They say you'll "never leave hungry", and that was a fact.Vegetarian options: Several options on the menu.Dietary restrictions: Owner has celiac and therfore offers plenty of gluten-free options. I have an u usual allergy, and so went to the connected health food store/smoothie shoo and got an amazing smoothie to fill me up. Because both are owned by the same family, you can bring.one places food to the other with no issue.“
