“Our cousin brought us here for lunch after a morning of shopping. There were 9 of us with 4 of those being kids. I wasn't sure how this would go. We were seated outside downstairs, and there were plenty of things to keep the kids occupied while waiting on the food. The best part was that the kids' food came out first!!! That is a huge thing for parents of young children. After they finished eating, they again played while the adults finished and could easily see the kids playing. Our server was fabulous as well as the food! As an out of towner, I would definitely recommend stopping by.“
“I'm a big fan of this bar. Their drinks are fairly priced and I am a big fan of the rewards system. Sure, it's a way to keep you coming back, but for $10 what do you want? The frequent entertainment is nice, and free pool tables are a huge plus. They're all in pretty good shape too.“

“We come to Hickory every year and were looking for great food and atmosphere that wasn’t Corporate America. This place did not disappoint.NOTE: THE NAME ON THE BUILDING SAYS “HICKORY TAVERN GRILL & RAW BAR”….. There is no raw bar. In fact when I asked where the raw bar menu was, she didn’t know what a raw bar was; and added not to listen to the sign on the front of the building. Suggestion, maybe just take that part down?First I’d like to commend them for not accepting reservations, but still getting our table of 8 in without very little wait for a Friday night with a short notice we were on our way.If you’re a sport lover, which I am not but my entire party is, so this was a great place for them because they have TV’s everywhere with every game playing on them. That was a huge bonus for the crew I was with. Not only do they have TV’s everywhere but there are a couple huge projector screens as well. You’ll never miss a game or highlight.The menu is a nice variety of pub food. One unique item was a build your own salad. I thought that was a nice touch. You don’t see that often if at all in the North. Their house side salad is still pretty big so beware if you order it as an additional side to your entree. Definitely not a problem, but if you ordered an entree those are pretty big portions as well. You won’t leave hungry.Although the service was a little slow, everyone’s food came out hot, correctly and we were very pleased with it. Our only complaint would be that one of the members of our party didn’t get their food until we were all about halfway through our meals.Would definitely go again when back in town.Parking: It’s in a plaza parking lot so there’s plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: We saw high chairs and they asked about kids menus, so kids are accepted.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
