“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Lunch Experience at Prime in Highlands! Our lunch at Primary in Highlands, NC, was simply outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host and restaurant manager, which set the tone for a wonderful meal. We started with perfectly cooked Oysters Rockefeller, followed by a fresh and flavorful green salad. My husband had the chimichurri marinated chicken sandwich, which was the special of the day, while I opted for the 14-ounce New York strip. Although I couldn’t finish the entire steak, it was perfect for sharing, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made for a lovely midday meal. We topped off the experience with a delicious slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. If you’re looking for an exceptional lunch in downtown Highlands, I highly recommend Primary for its fantastic food, atmosphere, and top-notch service“

“The Angus hamburger was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and juicy! The gluten-free bun was a welcomed option - no additional fee. French fries were hot and delicious.

Kid-friendliness: Very casual atmosphere. They had buckets of crayons and coloring books for younger guests.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a bit of a lip getting into the restaurant on the door threshold but otherwise it looks accessible.“

“Stopped by to grab a bite while listening to some entertainment at Music on Pine …. Great and friendly staff including Debbie (the owner) My chicken sandwich was so good and the fish and chips (special) was delicious including the tartar sauce which I heard is home made. Wow! Be back for sure! 😋“

“If looking for a cozy pub, Ugly Dog is the place to be. Came on a Wednesday, which meant we hit Bluegrass Night, which only added to happening vibe. Sat at the bar, chatted with locals, and out-of-towners. Service from Kelly, our bartender, was excellent. Personable and attentive.“

“As usual, the food was high quality and the service is what you expect in a nice restaurant. They know how to get fresh fish and cook it right. I we could not resist dessert because their desserts are great. I highly recommend the lemon moose cake with raspberry sauce. It got very noisy, but I don't know how that can be avoided. They were packed out. Reservations suggested.“
