“Everything was great here. Starting with the service. No waiting for waitstaff; muliple vists by all the servers. Even the proprietor touched base several times. The drinks were well made with top shelf ingredients. The food was intriguing, chef used imaginative combinations. I had the 4th Street Burger and Street Corn (outstanding) and my wife had the 205 Wedge Salad (what a great surprise). The ambiance was just what my wife and i were looking for; and the setlist was killer too. We will be back. Awsome night. Thanks“

“Great find off the main drag (downtown) in Highland's. The owners are lovely (married couple in their 80's) and had a sandwich shop back in the day in Highlands. We got the burger and gyro sandwich. Burger was juicy and the gyro meat was tender and plentiful. Worth a stop for sure.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Lunch Experience at Prime in Highlands! Our lunch at Primary in Highlands, NC, was simply outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host and restaurant manager, which set the tone for a wonderful meal. We started with perfectly cooked Oysters Rockefeller, followed by a fresh and flavorful green salad. My husband had the chimichurri marinated chicken sandwich, which was the special of the day, while I opted for the 14-ounce New York strip. Although I couldn’t finish the entire steak, it was perfect for sharing, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made for a lovely midday meal. We topped off the experience with a delicious slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. “Went for a smash burger and onion rings. Good was very good. My server was inattentive and pushy. Halfway through eating (alone) she came to the table with her credit card machine and said ‘are you ready to settle up?.’ Burger in my hand. I looked at and said, not yet, thanks. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I had to ask another server if I could order a cider. She nodded and in 2 min was back with it. I finished my meal and waited 13 minutes for my waitress to return. I finally stopped another server and asked if he wouldn’t mind getting my server as I was ready to check out. She came back after 6 minutes with her machine and put it in front of me. I popped my card on it. ‘Would you like to include a tip?’

I’ll leave it in cash. She departs and I reached into my pocket and placed $1,56 on the table.
Then found the guy who brought my food and Cider and gave him $5. Found the other server who found my waitress and gave him $5.

‘How was your service?’ Well the two who brought my food and cider, and had to find my waitress to settle up, I tipped personally. The inattentive server assigned to my table I left $1 and change. About that time, my server walked up and said with her hand out holding her tip ‘I believe you left this.’ No, that’s for your service. ‘Really?!?’ She said. I looked at the greeter and said ‘see?’ I thfn walked out.“

“Our new Year's Eve meal was fantastic! We had the stuffed chicken and the sea bass entrees.The desserts were done perfectly and presented nicely. Overall a great night and meal. I have been dining at On the Veranda for over 15 years. Great job everyone at the Veranda!!!“

“High end resturant, service was good. First time fist impressions a good resturant over all, prices on high side and we notice on the menu if sharing charge extra $4. Atmosphere very good & outside seating for pets if you have them.
See if next time food & service will improve. Could of been what we ordered since was lunch. As much was over cooked and servers where very matter if fact when serving and taking order. But again first time dinning at this resturant. We just expected more from a high end resturant. Thank you, Travers“

“We had an excellent dining experience, thanks to Casey’s outstanding service. He was incredibly attentive and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. For dinner, I enjoyed the pheasant, which was absolutely delicious, while my husband had the ribeye—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our son ordered the sirloin, but it wasn’t quite to our liking. Casey handled it with professionalism and care, ensuring it was promptly corrected. His warm and accommodating nature truly elevated our experience, making our evening both enjoyable and memorable.“

“We enjoyed their salmon cakes immensely, that they make from their own poached salmon and then into patties. We served it with the aioli, on a bed of greens. It’s like getting a catered meal just for two. Love the people there. Rare breed.“
