Way too many McD restaurants fail to toast the muffin, but they made it awesome at this location. I was o pleased that I went back a week later, just to see if my first experience was a fluke. “I am a student at UNC-Chapel Hill and I come to the Starbucks at East Gate every single day, if not twice a day, to study. I am a coffee addict and switch up my Starbucks purchase every day. I purchased a white chocolate mocha that tasted like a hot coffee with frothed milk. I spoke with Whitney who was super friendly and immediately remade my drink. The remade drink tasted exactly the way it was supposed to taste. Whitney's professionalism and customer service were on point. “This location has such a great atmosphere! The highlight for me is definitely the furniture – you can sit or even lounge comfortably, it’s super relaxing. Plus, it’s right next to a Supercharger, which is perfect. While waiting for my EV to charge, I stopped by for a coffee and really enjoyed it. The other customers were quiet and respectful too, which made the experience even better. Had to leave a review so I can remember to come back next time!“

“This Starbucks is my favorite location. The baristas are starting to recognize me as a regular, their wait times are usually pretty fast and consistent, and I’ve witnessed firsthand their ability to keep calm and collected while dealing with difficult customers. I’m leaving a review today specifically to say thank-you for the kindness they showed me this morning when I had to abandon my drinks in the drive through because of a long wait time. For whatever reason, all of Durham decided this was the place to be. They ended up being absolutely slammed and I spent over 30 minutes in the drive through after placing my order through the mobile app. I finally had to just get out of line as I was late for an event at my son’s school. I came back after the event - at least two hours later - and explained what happened. I asked if there was any way I could either get a refund or if they wouldn’t mind making my order now, and they were so kind and joyful and remade my whole order. It wasn’t even their fault or mistake; I’m the one that ordered and then left, but they remade it anyway and happily. This is my anecdote for today but this is the service I have always consistently received at this location. Love the Tower Blvd Starbucks!“
