“My family has eaten here a few times over the past year or so and it has always been good. We usually do the 'build your own bowl' and there are a lot of options. My kids like the white rice with avocado, tuna, and sweet soy sauce. In many cases I can split two bowls across three people making the price reasonable (around $25-27). Service at the counter has always been friendly and the tables in the restaurant are clean. Would recommend going there if you like poke bowls - much better than the ones from the grocery store and about the same price.“

“We have been going to Antico for at least seven years; the food is normally excellent. Last visit, I had the lunch portion around 2PM Chicken Capricioso and the chicken was tough, barely any artichoke. This review was more of a heads up to the kitchen. I was kind on the “4” rating for the dish, as your dishes are typically wonderful. Also, our waiter was too busy socializing to notice the needs of his other customers.“

“I love their chicken salad. I was so disappointed when they took it off their menu. The last time I was there I. asked the manager about it. He said they now run it as a special every other week. And to call each week to see if it was a special well today was my lucky day! I called and it was on special! I have to say I was disappointed when I saw they had cut back on the portion size and cost had gone up. But I wanted it that bad and paid the price! It was still as good as ever. I also tried their cheesecake and oh my it was awesome. I could not eat it all at one setting!“

“First time visiting this location of Red Rocks. Saturday afternoon was very attentive. No seating inside at time of visit so was seated outdoors.. which we didn’t mind. Server was respectful and polite. Only problems was ALLLL THE FLIES. Fans were circulating above but not really near tables to serve any purpose other than moving air. Owner/manager greeted everyone which was very nice. But you really got to see what can be done with flies… you could barely get food on your fork up to your mouth before they were all over your plate or trying to get to the fork. That made for an unpleasant dining experience. I’ve never ate on any restaurants outdoor area and flies were that bad.“

“This was an awesome gem of a resturant hidden in the woods. Such an intriguing history of the place. I LOVED their seafood - flounder, shrimp, fried oysters and will definitely be going back again. It was also great to meet the owners and family members that are part of the history of this place and land. “I attended Danceteria on the first Friday. DJ EBONY played the best R&B and house music songs. We danced and sang to songs that are not really played alot in Charlotte. I loved the fact that there was not any trap and / or mumble music that sometimes brings an unfavorable crowd. This was strictly for the real grown and mature crowd. I wish the time slot was longer. The food and service was also good. I like how it's remodeled. The decor and technology is great.
However, I came there on Saturday night after a memorial service with friends and it was a totally different crowd and music. The smell of weed coming in the door from the patio was very strong on the inside. We all thought they were smoking inside ! Me, my in and out of town friends and family did not like that at all. We didn't stay long because of the weed smell. That brought down the quality in my opinion. Something should be done about that. Everyone doesn't want to be subjected to Marijuana smelling up the place !“

And then got on the list AGAIN hand written; and I was never texted or called to be seated??‍♀️ and it's 1am now, lol, so we went to Billy's to eat next door. “Firebirds is my favorite NorthLake area restaurant. A friend and I had lunch there on a Wednesday at the height of the lunch time service. They were quite busy but our food quality was outstanding as was the service from Jetta. Our tenderloin salad and salmon salad were perfection. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert, which was one of the best I have ever had. Huge portion too! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Actually, any of the Firebirds locations in the Charlotte area are exceptional. Quality food and service at reasonable prices.“

“I love going to Thai House(university location) at lunch as the meal portions are large and it includes soup and spring roll(great value). Food is always so flavorful(I could drink the broth of the beef and basil as it taste so good). The staff is attentive and friendly (know their frequent customers). The thai decor is so welcoming. This is the best Thai restaurant in the Charlotte area.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cuzzo Cuisine, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable culinary experience! Nestled in the heart of the university area, this gem offers a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complements its outstanding menu.
My daughter order the fried shrimp and lobster, and I was blown away by the freshness and flavor. The shrimp were perfectly crispy, while the lobster had a delightful tenderness that made each bite absolutely amazing!

The mac & cheese, which was nothing short of heavenly. Creamy, cheesy, and baked to perfection, it was a comforting side that paired beautifully with the seafood. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and it truly felt like a homemade dish that warms the soul.

The chicken and shrimp combo was another highlight. The chicken and shrimp bowl was served over a bed of rice inside of the half cut pineapple. Proportion size pineapples added twist to this dish, which was amazing. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The combination of tropical flavors was refreshing and complemented the heartier dishes beautifully.

Lastly, I can't forget to mention the flounder fish. It was light, flaky, and seasoned just right. The freshness of the fish really shone through, making it a delightful end to my meal.

Overall, Cuzzo Cuisine exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting. If you're in the Charlotte area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will leave you craving more. Five stars all the way!“
