“Great service, extremely friendly and attentive. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt, the manager said they went through a rough spot trying to maintain staffing. We came in at 8pm, the server welcomed us at the door and checked on us regularly. Beers were served in a chilled glass. Burger was hand made and cooked to order (a little charred with crispy bacon and well done onions). The meatloaf was good the sides were ‘ok’ but what you would expect for a small country dinner. Prices are very fair. Come with realistic expectations and you will be happy and full. I will be back.“
“Try to eat here as often as I can even though it's mostly take out. The service and food is always great and the large salad bar is the best and has the freshest vegetables and meat in the area. Check out the lunch specials good food at good prices and everyday you have several choices“

“The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. We had Drew as our waiter and he was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and gave great recommendations. The meal was just insanely good from start to finish. It's hands down the best meal my husband and I have had since moving to West Jefferson.Overall, Craft Bistro surpassed our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat.“
“Greek chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. My husband had the Italian, delicious he said. We asked someone on the street where they would recommend, without hesitation they pointed to Sweet and Savory, said we must try the roasted red pepper soup. We were not disappointed. The wait for food was very well worth it, the reason for the wait, they make it fresh to order. So please be patient with these hard working employees. They are working hard to serve you their heart full of love in food. By the way, the couple who recommended Sweet and Savory, came in for lunch before my husband and I left.“

“I loved the Reuben and fries. I loved the atmosphere both inside and out. They had great tea ( which has been hard for me to find lately). The service was phenomenal. (The waitress saw the wind kicking up? and automatically brought us travel cups to our outside table for our drinks.) (I ..we love a travel drink toward the end of our meal ! ) It was my first time there. It won't be the last.“

“We used the catering service for our son's wedding weekend Welcome Party, for 100 people. We chose the Italian Frescoes buffet, with stuffed mushrooms and it did not disappoint. We also had Potato Boats and Chicken Wings as appetizers. ALL the food was superb (and being from NY, this says a lot!) Kristina Lyon was amazing to work with and our event went better than we could have imagined! There was an abundance of food - seconds and thirds were had, with plenty left over the next day for the wedding after party!Thank you, Kristina and Boondock's for a job well done!'“
“Picked up breakfast from Country House this morning. We are in town visiting and wanted something tasty. Ordered a nice spread... pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, etc. It was delicious! Classic, home-cooked meal. Tastes like it came from granny's kitchen. Prepared quickly and with care. It was also inexpensive, which helps a lot when you're a family of five. Looking forward to trying some lunch/dinner options because I'm sure it will be just as good. If you're in Lansing or just passing through, be sure to stop by the Country House!“
“Really really great food! Wonderful service. Surprisingly good food for the size of the place. The atmosphere is a bit kitschy. Older booths but comfortable. We had breakfast. Bacon was so perfectly cooked! Great veggie omelet with mushrooms. Green pepper. Tomatoes. Onion. Toast was buttered with (get this) real butter! Lots of jams and jellies right at the table. “A friend and I ate here today and had a wonderful experience. The pub burger with fries were scrumptious. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Multiple staff members asked how we were doing and made sure we were having a good experience. I even purchased a t-shirt!! Can’t wait to return. I can’t wait for the patio to open.“
